My vision became blurry, along with the appearance of a clear liquid that pooled in the eye fertilizers. I was so moved by every sentence Alan said about me. In my heart I cursed myself. How foolish I was to doubt his love, when he clearly loved me sincerely. I realize now.
If only there were no one else in the room, if it were just the two of us, him and me. I'm gonna run and slam into his arms right now. I won't let him wait any longer. I'll give you the answer he's been waiting for and wants to hear. 'Yes, I want to be your wife, let's get married' I'll tell her that line later, after this show is over.
I wiped away the tears that flowed without excuse. Then I stepped out before anyone realized I was crying.
My steps stopped when I almost hit someone. I shifted to the left to avoid it, but the guy shifted to the left as well. When I shifted to the right he did the same thing and when I was silent he kept quiet.
What exactly is this guy doing? why keep following my moves?
I looked up, wanting to see who was blocking my path. I gasped when I saw his face. Kevin's! What's he doing here?
"I finally found you, Ly," he said with a smiling face.
"What are you doing here, Mom?" my, cold.
"Of course to see you, Ly." He handed me a bouquet of lilies in his hand. "For you..."
"I don't need it" I said, pushing his hand away, refusing the gift. "Moreover, I don't want to see you, so please go," I said, turning my head and preparing to leave.
"I'm not leaving until you take it, Ly."
That way I stopped walking and turned around, facing him again. Both corners of her mouth were raised upwards as I received the flower. However, her smile instantly faded as soon as I dropped the flower and stepped on it right before her eyes.
Kevin's gaze fell down, staring at the flowers whose petals splattered on the floor and looked withered. "I'm sorry, Ly. I regret..." He paused for a moment. His eyelids lifted, he looked at me again. "Please give me a chance, Ly," he asked expectantly.
"A chance?" my lips. I looked at him with anger. "How many more times do I have to give you a chance, Mom? I've given you the chance many times but you keep disappointing me, again and again!"
Kevin took a step forward, then grabbed both of my palms. "I promise you, this time it won't disappoint you again. Please give me one more chance, will you?" he said it seriously.
I looked down, staring at the palm of his hand that was holding mine. It feels warm, just like it used to be. "You promised last time, too, but you denied it" I said. I raised my face and looked at him again. "That time you promised to marry me after you divorced Alia when her baby was born. But what you're doing, you're denying it, Mas. You left me when I really needed you."
Kevin mute. His eyes were dim and his face was filled with guilt.
"I kept begging you, asking you to come back, but you never came. You don't care if you know I'm alone and in pain, you just keep ignoring me. Did you forget that, Mom!" Our grasp of the hand came off after I violently touched it. My heart beats faster with anger.
"I have a reason why I did all that, Ly. I'm just as tormented as you are."
"Keep your excuses for yourself, Mom. I don't want to hear it."
"But, Ly..."
He still wants to talk but I've already stepped foot, left him.
