I got off the bed. Running small towards the glass window covered in light brown curtains. While talking over the phone, I exposed the blackout cloth. Then look out the window. Down there Kevin seemed to lean his body and one of his legs against the wall. The man smiled when he saw me. Then wave his left hand. While one other hand holds the cellphone attached to his ear.
"Come down" he commanded.
"Wait a minute" I said as I turned around. Snatched my short-sleeved t-shirt that was lying on the bed, then put it on. Then he rushed to see Kevin.
"Don't run off and fall" Kevin said as I descended the stairs.
I didn't rub it, it didn't reduce my walking speed at all. Until I finally stopped right in front of the gate with a breath of breath. Kevin and I stood facing each other. With a fence in the middle that became a barrier between us.
"You never change. Always stubborn and unwilling to listen to others" Kevin said, chuckling.
"I'm not stubborn" I argued.
"Yes yes" said Kevin. "Hurry to open the gate."
"I don't have the key."
"Don't joke, honey."
"I'm serious."
Kevin looked at me in disbelief. "How come you live here but don't have the keys to the gate, honey."
"I don't need it."
"Then how do you get in if the gate is locked?"
"Just calm down, Mom. When I leave or go home from work the gate is not in the key, really. The gate was in lock at midnight until dawn" I explained.
"Also you have to have the duplicate key, honey. Just in case you need it one day" said Kevin.
"Yes yes. I'll ask to make the same keeper boarding here."
"Now come out" Kevin asked.
"How is it?" my many. Looking at the two-meter-high gate that loomed before me.
"Fly away" said Kevin somewhat annoyed.
I giggled at his face. Then shift to the side preparing to climb the fence. After making sure the fence was strong enough, I started crawling up.
"Be careful" said Kevin as my feet came to the top.
I carefully lifted my feet. Toggle the wall that is high parallel to the fence. I looked down, looking at Kevin who was waiting for me. Pretty high as well, my mind.
"Jump-I'll catch you" said Kevin, spreading his hands.
"But this is too high."
"It's okay, honey. Just trust me."
I'm shaking. "Too risky. If I jump straight in, you and I can both fall down. Let me go down by myself" I said as I prepared to go down the fence.
I held the iron fence back. Step on it in the opposite direction from before and move down. Assisted by Kevin who rushed to catch me when his hand reached my body.
"Yeah ... It works," I said after Kevin took my body down.
Kevin smiles. Holding my head and gently stroking my hair. "Where does climbing come from? Was my boyfriend bitten by a spider too, like a spiderman?"
"I hope so. So that I can save the world" I said, laughing.
Kevin grabbed my body. Hugging and landing a kiss on my cheek. Then put his forehead on my forehead.
"What do you want to save?"
I pushed her body slowly, away from her face and body. "It's outside the room. What if someone else was looking," I said hurriedly explaining. When you see Kevin's face changing, you don't seem to like what I just did.
"Then let's find somewhere else" Kevin took me with a pull of my hand.
"Where are we going?"
"Find me something. I'm hungry" said Kevin, wrapping his hands around my shoulders. We walked along, down a narrow alley. Towards Kevin's car parked on the shoulder of the road, in front of the alley.
"I have to change clothes first" I said, stopping. Staring at my body which is only wrapped in hotpants and a slightly oversized t-shirt.
I don't want to step in. Slightly shuffled because it compensated for Kevin's long steps. Not long after we arrived in front of the alley. Kevin opened the car door, told me to come in. After that, close it again and walk around the car.
"Where do you eat?" ask me after Kevin comes in and puts his body behind the wheel. Next to me.
"Where. Find a restaurant that's still open" Kevin said, wearing a seatbelt. Then start the engine and drive it, slowly. Passing through the streets of the capital city. Yes, at midnight then the streets start loose, not as dense as in the morning or afternoon which is often jammed.
"Is there no food in the house?" Askaqua. It's not usual for Kevin to visit me and take me to dinner like this.
Kevin shrugged his shoulders. "After work I went to bed. When I woke up I came straight here" he said.
"Stop!"
Kevin pulled his car over the shoulder of the road and stopped, as I ordered. " What's up, honey? Why suddenly ask to stop," he asked in panic.
"Put back a little, honey," I said.
"Retreat?" said confused.
I'm nodding. "Yes backsliding."
Although he looked reluctant, Kevin did not protest much. He obeyed my words.
"Nah .. now park the car there," I said pointing to the page of a workshop that had closed.
"Why do we stop here?"
"Isn't Kevin hungry? Let's eat."
"Eat?" ask her with a frown.
"Yes, eat" I said, demonstrating food into my mouth.
"It's not a restaurant, honey. It's workshop. Didn't you see the writing?" ask Kevin. Staring at the sign that reads men's car repair shop jaya.
"What do we want to eat here? The wind?" coined.
"Will the wind eat?" I said back to asking.
Kevin looked at me, seriously. "What exactly are we doing here?" the question ignored my question.
"I told you we'd eat. Come on down" take me as I get out of the car. Followed by Kevin who walked lazily to my side.
"Look," I said pointing at a pecel catfish stall across the street. Kevin spread his gaze, following the direction I was pointing.
" Let's eat there" I asked.
Kevin frowned. Stared at. "Are you sure?"
I'm nodding. "certain."
I began to step, about to approach the shop. But Kevin just pulled my hand, making me forced to stop the step. I'm staring. "What's wrong?"
"We'll find somewhere else."
"Why?"
"It's not hygenic there, honey. The place is open like that. Without the cover. Just rely on that thin cloth. The dust of the road and the smoke from passing vehicles all go into it."
Ah yeah. I forgot what I took this time Kevin Sanjaya. Men who since childhood have been accustomed to living well even more than enough. Anything he wants to eat will be available at his family's dining table or order at a fancy restaurant. At his age who stepped on the head of three even though he had never eaten on the side of the road.
"Come, Honey. Just this once. I want to eat grilled squid over there," I said.
"Trust me - roadside food won't make Kevin's stomach ache."
"What I'm worried about is your health, Ly. I don't want you to get sick" he said.
"I'm not gonna get sick, Mom."
Although he looked reluctant but Kevin did not refuse when I took his hand and walked over to the pecel catfish stall.
Once there Kevin spread his eyes. Observe every corner of the stall with a dislike look. But the man did not protest much. Just a little complaining about chairs and tables that he found uncomfortable.
