"Are you serious, Arsen?" Olivia, who was preparing dinner, immediately approached her husband without putting food in the plate she was holding. He stood before the beautiful man with sparkling eyes.
"Yes. I've solved all your parents' problems, in my own way, of course" replied Arsen, showing off a calm smile.
"You're paying off interest on our loan, son?" xaverio asked felt bad.
"No, Mr. Bellamy. I would not be willing to spend a dime for a person like Varoni" said Arsen who then immediately smiled widely. "Make sure he won't dare to do anything again" the man continued confidently.
"Arsen ...." Olivia was speechless. She was deeply moved by what her husband had done for her parents. Without hesitation, Olivia kissed the man in front of Xaverio as well as Berta who could only smile in relief.
"We can return to Greece in peace, Olive. After dinner, pack your things immediately. I'll take you to Casa de Luca," Arsen turned to his in-laws for a moment, "I hope your parents can feel much more comfortable there," he said again, turning his eyes back to Olivia.
"That's for sure!" reply Olivia with enthusiasm and confidence. "Come on. I've been cooking for all of us" he asked without taking off the smile he was aiming for his beloved husband.
After dinner, Xaverio and Berta packed up. After that, they rushed to the Casa de Luca di Brescia, with the hope of living a better and more decent life. The plan, they will inform the move to Olivia's sister who is in boarding school.
While in Casa de Luca, in a room occupied by Coco, Francesca was tidying the dishes used for dinner the lover. Coco's condition continues to improve. The curly-haired man has been able to sit, although not too much movement let alone down and up the bed.
"You want something else, Ricci?" bargain Francesca who was about to leave the room with a dirty dish earlier.
"No. I'm already full. Anyway, I can't eat too much first" Coco said without distracting her from the television screen. Seeing Coco's attitude, Francesca was upset. It was not usual for Coco to distract from her face, as they were talking. But Coco has changed a lot.
"Until when are you going to be indifferent to me, Ricci?" francesca asked with a very serious look and face. He placed the dirty plate on the table, then stood with his right hand on his waist. The girl seemed to want to challenge the man who was sitting quietly on the bed.
"What do you mean, Francesca?" Coco asked back. He also mentioned the girl by her real name, no longer Francy. "You can go and go back to Rome if you don't like being here. I never forced you to take care of me" Coco said, turning her attention for a moment to the girl she loved so much.
"Why are you talking like that? You don't like my presence here?" challenge Francesca with a cynical tone and gaze.
"I told you that you don't have to take responsibility for taking care of me" said Coco, still looking calm, although she knew that Francesca was irritated at the time. "I don't want to be anyone's burden" the man said.
"Oh, so? If I hadn't taken care of you, then who would you rely on here? A waiter? Uncle Damiano? You guys don't know yourself! You should have realized! You're even having a hard time just taking off your underwear and peeing!" cerca the hazel-eyed girl. He no longer wanted to endure the annoyance in his heart.
"You don't have to think about that. I'm thirty-two years old, unlike your twenty-six, Miss Ranallo. My body is helpless, but my mind is still working" said Coco coldly.
"You really suck, Ricci! Why should I fall in love with a man like you!" grumbled Francesca again. As much as possible she tried to hold back so that her cries did not break.
"Why do I have to wait for you so long?" coco replied, leaving Francesca momentarily speechless. "Please leave me alone" the brown-eyed man asked, turning his gaze away from Francesca's pretty face.
Upon arrival in the kitchen, Mia's step-sister immediately put the dirty tableware she brought into the sink. Francesca paused for a moment there. A moment later, the girl in her body decided to get out of the kitchen. He then headed for the opening and stood with a glaring gaze at the depth of the night that enveloped the city of Brescia, especially Casa de Luca. Francesca stayed there for a while.
"What are you doing, son?" damiano's voice instantly brought Francesca back to the real world. He ended the thought of something that disturbed his mind.
"Uncle? You haven't slept?" the hazel-eyed girl followed Damiano's steps not far behind, until the old man stood next to her.
"I can't sleep. The air felt so hot in the room. That's why I chose to just go out" Damiano replied. While his gaze was fixed on the vast expanse of wineries that were not clearly visible in the thick of the night. "Is Coco asleep?" tanynya.
"Yet. He was watching television" Francesca replied slowly. The annoyance and anger still lingered in his heart, but he tried to hide it from Damiano.
A moment of silence between them. The two seemed to be thinking about what to talk about, because Francecsca did not do that with Damiano. One heavy sigh was heard from the man who was always full of his wise advice.
"Coco was like a second son to me, after Matteo. They were the best friends ever. I was very proud of both of them" Damiano started the conversation and instantly removed the awkwardness in Francesca, who was still listening.
"You know what, son?" Damiano turned to the beautiful girl next to him for a moment. "The first time I knew the young man, I saw he was very independent. You must have known that Coco had no parents since she was a teenager. The young man did everything alone. This continued until he grew up and lived in a workshop. Coco took care of herself without asking anyone for help, not even her best friend Matteo" Damiano was silent for a while. He took a short breath again, then slowly pummeled it.
"We never talked about it, Uncle. During this time, Ricci always looked happy and fine" Francesca replied.
"That's it, son. When I was sick yesterday, Coco took care of me very painfully. He doesn't feel uncomfortable at all. The same thing happened when he came back from Rome. Coco didn't say anything to me, but I saw her coming home in a bad condition. My son walked while limping. There was a blood stain on his jeans. Almost overnight he treated the wound alone," Damiano fell silent for a moment, before continuing his speech.
"I saw him secretly. He's in pain, son. But the next day Coco behaved normally in front of everyone, as if nothing had happened to her. He even accompanied Adriano to Serbia. Then the bad news reached my ears. I can't imagine how anxious I felt at that moment. Matteo's departure has taken me by storm even to this day. I don't want to lose another son a second time, even though Adriano is now present and regards me as his father."
"I've asked him many times why he hasn't gotten married. Coco would definitely laugh while answering, she has not been able to give you a decent life yet. In fact, I have often told him that a decent life will only be created, when a couple feels happy with their respective shortcomings. They feel they deserve to have each other, and do not look down or underestimate each other. I, who have failed in my household, sometimes feel embarrassed when giving advice like this. However, everything I do is solely for you to be better than me. Successful parents are those who have managed to make their children's lives much better than their lives" Damiano fell silent again and stared at the thick expanse that seemed endless.
Francesca was silent. He was pervading, digesting, and interpreting all the advice he heard that night. A moment later, the hazel-eyed girl turned her gaze to the old man next to her. "May I hug you, Uncle?" tanyakanya.
"Don't be too formal or shy, son," Damiano said with a warm smile. He welcomed a hug from Francesca who also missed the father figure greatly in his life.
After the conversation with Damiano, Francescsa returned to Coco's room. The man seemed to have broken his body with his eyes closed. Either he's actually sleeping or just pretending.
With a very careful step, Francesca approached then sat on the edge of the bed. He looked at the handsome face of the man he had been courting for so many years. All the beautiful things they had passed together were present in the memory. How long Coco has been a good lover for him.
The touch of the curls that he used to always fondly caress. Francesca missed that a lot. "I'm not going anywhere, even if you throw me out rudely. You know why, Ricci? The answer is because I love you so much." A gentle kiss landed on Coco's forehead.
