Surprised, Mia widened her eyes. The woman moved away from Adriano, then turned to turn her back to the handsome man. Mia's mood instantly became unfazed upon hearing Christiabel's name. The story of the past between the beautiful woman of the boutique owner and Adriano, makes Mia often feel disturbed by it.
"Don't tell me if you ...." Mia could not continue her words. He simply did not want to imagine what had happened between Adriano and Christiabel in the hotel room.
"No, Mia," said Adriano, grabbing his wife's shoulder. He turned the woman's body so that it turned back to face her. "Everything is not what you imagine" the blue-eyed man argued.
"What is in my shadow? You guys make out and then make love?" the question, asked by Mia, sounded like an allusion from the woman to Adriano. Disappointment filled the chest of the mother of one child.
"You think I would do something like that?" Adrian asked back. She mustn't lose control of her emotions when she gives an explanation to Mia. He looked at the beautiful face of the brown-eyed woman earlier with clinging. "You think I'll turn around so easily? The whole world knows how crazy I am about you, Mia. How long do I have to wait until I make you mine? I think I would be a very stupid person if I betrayed the love I hoped I had succeeded in getting" Adriano said calmly.
"There are a lot of people who like challenges, one of them is you. You like to do things that are extreme and often endanger yourself. It does not rule out that chasing me is only a challenge for you" Mia argued.
"Is that how you feel, honey?" adriano assured his wife. "If you think like that, then I say that what you think is true. Florecita Mia will always be a big challenge for me. Adriano lowered her face, waiting for what response Mia had to her.

"My dear." Without saying anything more, Mia lowered her body to tightly hug the man who had managed to distract her from the late Matteo de Luca.
For a while, the husband and wife hugged each other and gave off all feelings. Shortly after, Mia stretched her embrace. He helped Adriano to get back on his feet.
"So Jacob used Christiabel to threaten you?"
"Yes, Mia. He locked the room door for almost an hour automatically and messed up the network. Actually I've prepared a tapping tool as a handle if things happen unexpectedly. But, it's all in vain. Jacob apparently used hotel CCTV footage showing me and Christiabel entering the same hotel and room, then exiting after an hour as if we had done something in there. However, in my mother's name .. we did nothing, Mia. He and I even sat far apart" Adriano explained.
"Christiabel is not a stupid woman. He knows exactly how much love I feel for you. Although he had expressed feelings of love towards me, but .. but it does not mean anything," Adriano said again convincingly. He then went back to the window. The look of the handsome man glared away at the atmosphere around Casa de Luca.
"I've jumped and gone very far, Mia. It's not just about Matteo's death anymore, but it's widened everywhere. At least I know and become more alert. But frankly, I haven't been able to breathe. Out there out of nowhere, Jacob was watching me. I have to stop him" Adriano said with a blank look. A moment later, he turned to Mia. "Allow me, honey. Let me do what I'm supposed to do. Give me the freedom to act and move. I promise you I will always take good care of myself. You know why?" Adriano drew closer to his wife who was still standing in her place.
Adriano cupped Mia's beautiful face, looking into her eyes feelingly. "I have to stay alive because now I have a reason for that. One more thing, don't forget to do a pregnancy test."
Mia immediately lowered her face. "I'm afraid something bad happened to you, Adriano," he said slowly. "But if this is for the safety of all of us, then .. I will give you your freedom again, dear. Do everything until it's done. End this soon, because I want us to live in peace."
