Adriano's eyes were staring at Juan Pablo who was also looking at him tensely. The man could already guess what would happen. “Is that true?” his blue eyes seemed to be demanding an answer from the Mexican man, who was now increasingly on alert. The festive and cheerful atmosphere of the party instantly became quiet and tense. Especially when Adriano walked slowly to Juan Pablo. All eyes made the two handsome men the center of their attention, including Francesca and Coco. Today was supposed to be the happiest day of his second life.
While walking cautiously, one hand of Adriano moved to feel the back of his waist where he kept his beloved gun. Seeing that, Juan Pablo did not want to take the risk. Soon he grabbed Mia's arm still standing nearby and pulled Adriano's wife into a shift blocking her body. Juan Pablo's left hand was coiled around the neck of a woman who had once been a decoration of all imagination. While his right hand moved grabbing the gun tucked in his back. Juan Pablo placed the muzzle of the gun against Mia's temple with his index finger ready to be on the trigger.
“Mother!” miabella exclaimed with a trembling body, when she saw the terrible scene presented before her. The little girl's gray eyes looked glazed with curved lips. “Please don't hurt my mother,” her whine.
“Seez, Princess. I promise I won't hurt your mother,” tell Juan Pablo to half whisper while stepping back to get away from Miabella.
“Bags of you, Juan Pablo!” adriano's screams echoed in the skies of Casa de Luca. All his life, he never felt that angry and sweet. His ever-quiet and calm-looking carriage, was completely invisible at the time. “A little bit you scratched my Mia skin, then I will chase you to hell though!” threaten Adriano while walking slowly and alert. He tried to advance and got closer to Juan Pablo who kept moving backwards.
“I wouldn't hurt him if you let me get out of here! Stop chasing me!” juan Pablo with the gun still attached to Mia's head. While Mia herself felt unable to breathe freely. The woman's eyes became blurry, because of the many tears that pooled. One thing he could see at that time was the figure of the husband who seemed to be trying to get close to him.
“Stay at your place, Mr. Adriano D’Angelo! If you are still reckless, then don't blame me because this bullet will pierce Mia's pretty face,” Juan Pablo threatened with a vibrating voice. It was a very difficult choice for him.
Adriano's sturdy body immediately froze. So did Marco and Coco. They were trying to help Mia's husband to take Juan Pablo down. Everyone was glued to his place while holding their breath. There was nothing they could do but let Juan Pablo pass from there while using Mia's body as a life shield, until he headed to the parking lot.
“Come in, Mia,” tell Juan Pablo. “I swear I won't hurt you,” said the man reassured Mia, as she simply fell silent while staring in fear.
Mia glanced at Juan Pablo's gun, then entered the car and sat in the front seat. After closing the door, Juan Pablo rushes behind the wheel and turns on the vehicle. In a split second, the black sedan car belonging to the Jungle Eagle roared and circled the fountain towards the second gate. The bodyguards who were there had been told in advance by Marco not to block let alone to attack the vehicle, because there was Mia in it.
Juan Pablo's car drove fast, even to hit a giant gate made of iron and gold painted to open wide. At the first gate, Juan Pablo also hit him as hard as he could, then turned towards the downtown highway. Every now and then, he glanced at Mia who was squeezing her chest tightly while trying to breathe regularly. The beautiful woman's cheeks were already wet with tears. Her beautiful eyes were just staring blankly in front. “Are you okay?” tanyanya doubt. A moment later, he regretted that stupid-sounding question. “Ma-sorry,” said again.
“I'm pregnant,” said Mia shriek, “please don't kill again the people I love. I can't bear to feel the loss for the umpteenth time,” pinta beautiful woman was heartbreaking.
“I .…” Juan Pablo's throat is blocked. He who is usually ferocious and unforgiving, must be withered when facing the fragile-looking woman beside him. A million regrets also fiddled with the man's mind. “I didn't mean to hurt you. I may not be a religious person, but I dare to swear in the name of God. Please believe me. I won't hurt you in the least,” he said slowly while continuing to drive.
Mia did not give an answer to Juan Pablo's statement. The brown-haired woman who now looks disheveled just looked down deeply while sobbing.
Juan Pablo had no intention of saying anything more, until his car entered Milan. He drove down the highway and stopped at a large cathedral. Juan Pablo stopped his vehicle in the front yard of the cathedral.
Mia who had originally lowered her head, immediately raised her face. She was completely aghast as the cold man next to her got out of the car and took her along.
“Follow me, Mia,” take her so gently. Mia shook her head strongly. Her tears flowed back. How not, the church was the place where Matteo died right on his lap. In that vast courtyard with shady trees, all those heartbreaking bloody tragedies unfolded so quickly.
“No! Stop!” Juan Pablo spontaneously held the shoulder of Adriano's wife. “Close with me. Please. We go inside,” take him.
Mia couldn't open her mouth. As if he had been hypnotized, he got out of the vehicle and followed the gallant steps of Juan Pablo. Mia continued to watch the movements of the man who was opening the cathedral entrance, with a very large size. The two-leafed door was made of wood and was paved with steel. It took a little bit of energy from Juan Pablo to push him to open wide enough.
Once Mia was inside, Juan Pablo shut her down again. He then directed Mia to the quiet interior of the church. There's no one there. Neither does the pastor or pastor who is usually on guard duty. “Today the cathedral is closed. There's a repair on the roof. I know because my men are also building workers who improve,” explained Juan Pablo without being asked. “Ayo,” take her. Without hesitation, Juan Pablo grabbed Mia's wrist and held it. He led the pregnant woman straight until she arrived in front of the altar, then turned into the hall beside her.
The hallway looked so dark that Juan Pablo had to turn on the flashlight on his phone. A few steps later, he stopped and faced the wall of the hallway on the left. Juan Pablo felt the surface of the wall until he found one brick that protruded slightly forward. He pressed the brick until the wall in front of him shifted and opened. “Come in,” tell him again. Mia shook her head weakly and intended to refuse.
“I swear that you'll be safe until Adriano picks you up later.” Juan Pablo put his right hand on his chest. A sign that he really meant it. “Sorry, if I take you hostage, but I have to save myself. I must not die anytime soon because ... because ..” Juan Pablo seemed a little hesitant. However, in the end he continued his words.
“Gianna pregnant ... Our child. I married her a few days ago, too. That's why I can't die. I can't leave Gianna alone.”
Mia's beautiful eyes glared perfectly upon hearing that. He had heard the news that Adriano's stepbrother was indeed close to Juan Pablo. However, Mia never thought that the relationship between the two would go that far. “Gianna pregnant?” Mia finally opened her voice. “Does Adriano know about this?” tanyanya. Gradually, the fear within Mia slowly disappeared.
“No. No one knows about this. I just told you. Now enter. There was a simple cot with a blanket there. You can rest for a while.” Finished saying so, Juan Pablo's hand again touched the wall and pressed the switch, making Mia able to see clearly the small stone-walled room in front of her. He looked up at the small yellow light hanging in the middle of the ceiling of the room .
“What is this place?” ask Mia while stepping inside. His gaze swept to every corner of the place.
“My place was hiding while watching your husband at that time,” replied Juan Pablo with a look of regret. “I did not think that my actions based only on emotions and resentment could have such a big impact on others.” Juan Pablo lowered his head deeply, trying to avoid Mia's gaze that kept on pointing at him. He then turned around and intended to leave Mia for granted.
“Where are you going?” exclaim Mia was-was.
“I have to pick up Gianna and take her away from this country,” Juan Pablo replied without turning his head. He stood his back to Mia. “I will have my men contact Adriano and tell you your position, once Gianna and I are in a safe place,” again without changing positions. Just one step of her foot moved leaving the small room earlier, Mia heard again calling her name.
“I forgive you, Mr. Herrera,” said Mia who instantly made Juan Pablo so emotional. For the first time in his lifetime, the handsome man shed tears.
