Guido immediately sat down between Damiano and Adriano quietly. “Halo, Mr...” He did not continue his greeting, having never met Adriano before.
“D'Angelo's chat. Adriano D'Angelo." Adriano gave his name while shaking the lawyer's hand.
“Mr D'Angelo. Alright." Guido nodded while remembering that name. “I have prepared some files requested by Mr. Marco de Luca.” The man handed Adriano a stack of paper maps.
“I've also sent you a file by email,” timpal Marco.
“I'll learn as soon as possible,” Adriano said without looking. At first glance, he read the pile of papers that the lawyer had just handed to him.
“This is indeed a unique case, gentlemen,” Guido said suddenly. Make all eyes look at him.
“You mean?” ask Adriano curious.
“The bullets lodged in the body of Mr. Matteo de Luca amounted to four grains. All have the same type. It's just, the direction of the shot is different,” explained Guido.
“So, right my guess. There was more than one sniper aiming at Matteo,” Adriano muttered as he rubbed his chin.
“One stays! There are four snipers in Milan! Imagine, Gentlemen! Milan!” Guido's tone was so passionate. Because Milan is the safest city in Italy, compared to other cities that have a history of violence related to mafia activities, or other small gangs that always disturb the community.
“Whoever told them to, obviously not a random person. They must have followed Matteo's movements for a long time, to the point that they knew what he was doing that day,” Adriano said with a serious mimic.
“Iya. We also suspect so. Unfortunately, our investigation had to stop in place. There is no development until this moment,” complained Guido.
“I will try my hardest to reveal it,” Adriano said in front of everyone with so much confidence, no exception in front of Coco who at that time put a cynical smile on Adriano.
“I don't believe in people who are being too nice,” the curly-haired man replied.
Adriano looked at Coco sharply, and then smiled. “It's up to you, Mr. Ricci. I can't force everyone to believe or like me. I don't care at all,” she said, “all I want to do is restore Mia's happiness and justice for Matteo for sure. Undeniably, Matteo's last words shortly before I was shot that night, have really touched my conscience. I'm very grateful to him,” Adriano added.
Everyone there was silent to Adriano's words. Guido looked confused as well. “Have I missed anything?” tanyakanya.
“Nothing,” replied Marco quickly. “You can't and shouldn't know more than this. Remember that, Guido!” emphatically.
Guido nodded immediately, although a little surprised. Of course he will obey whatever the client says. The man doesn't want to cause trouble with the de Luca family.
“Good. I had to end the meeting until here, because I will soon return to Monaco,” Adriano said as he stood holding the files. He says goodbye to everything. Adriano passed from the study.
Meanwhile, Damiano was just sculpting. Observing Adriano's figure until invisible from the view, with teary eyes.
Adriano rushed to the room she was staying in with Mia. As decided, Adriano plans to bring Mia and her daughter to Monaco today. The blue-eyed man entered the room, as Mia was busy tidying up some of her valuables as well as Miabella.
Mia did not bring much clothing, as Adriano forbade. So, he only brought items that were considered very important and could not be left behind in the Casa de Luca. One of them is a gift rose brooch from Matteo. The brooch was well tucked away in Mia's jewelry box.
It was a pity, because since Matteo gave the brooch to him, Mia had not had time to wear the accessories. There was just something that made him forget to pin the little thing. The main reason was because Mia was indeed not used to wearing accessories.
Mia put her jewelry box in the suitcase with other important items, including a 4R photo. A photo that became a memory when he went to Venice with Matteo. He kept the photo well, so Adriano wouldn't find it. “What time will we leave?” ask Mia to Adriano. The man reopened some of the files, which were given by lawyer Guido Aquillani.
“Don't be too late,” replied Adriano turned to Mia for a moment, before returning his gaze to the papers.
“I'll go to Miabella's room first,” Mia said again as she headed for the door.
Arriving in front of Miabella's room, Mia hears her daughter laughing with someone. Slowly, Mia opened the door and saw Francesca chatting with Miabella. “Asyik. What are you talking about?” Mia approached the two of them, then sat down.
“I told you about Daddy Zio, Mom,” Miabella replied.
“Oh, yes? Stories about what?” ask Mia.
“She said that her Daddy Zio is handsome like a prince,” Francesca said as she giggled amusedly.
“Mia ..” Francesca looked on with a look of pity, then hugged her stepbrother tightly.
“I guess, it's not like that, Principessa.” Suddenly, Adriano's baritone voice was heard in Miabella's room.
Francesca and Mia simultaneously turned their heads towards the source of the sound.
Adriano was already standing there. He leaned his shoulders on the doorway while holding his arms. “You know, Honey? Your father will never be replaced by anyone. Not by me either. Your father only ordered me to represent him,” Adriano said with a warm smile on Miabella.
Adriano walked over to the little girl. He lowered the body in front of him. “Your father. Mr. Matteo de Luca. He has ordered me to look after and take care of you until the time comes,” Adriano continued.
“What time, Daddy Zio?” Miabella tilts her head funny.
“The time of arrival is the time when God called me to accompany your father in heaven. That means, I'll take care of you until my breath runs out, Miabella. That's my promise.” Adriano stared fixedly at the little girl's gray eyes, then gently rubbed her chubby cheeks.
“You ... You don't have to go this far.” Mia stuttered and threw away her face. He didn't want Adriano to see his face soaked with tears.
“Yes. I was astonished too. Why are you doing all this, Mr. D’Angelo? May I be suspicious?” asked Francesca who had just been silent.
“There is a reason I cannot reveal at this time, Miss Ranallo. Rest assured, I have no ill intentions at all,” Adriano replied smiling faintly, then glancing towards Mia.
The atmosphere was silent for a while, until Adriano clapped both hands. “Good. It's time we left. My helicopter has arrived. Say goodbye to Aunt Francesca,” tell Adriano to be gentle.
“I go first, Aunt Francy. Take care of my room, yeah. Don't let any spiders in,” Miabella's cute babble. Her petite posture hugged the slender body of Francesca. Something very extraordinary, because Miabella rarely accustoms herself to him. The little girl even tends to stay away if approached.
After saying goodbye to Francesca, Mia takes her daughter around the house. They say goodbye to everyone there, including Damiano. The middle-aged man could not help but cry, as he was about to let go of Miabella's departure on the helicopter pad located on the roof of the Casa de Luca building.
“I'd like to invite Grandpa Damiano, Daddy Zio,” pinta Miabella with a clear face.
“Of course you can. Provided Grandpa Damiano is ready,” Adriano says softly.
However, Damiano instead shook his head weakly, then hugged his grandson tightly. “I can't go now. I have to look after your father's house, son. If there is free time, your grandfather will come to visit,” he said softly.
Miabella nodded slowly as she occasionally glanced at Adriano. As if he understood what the princess wanted, he immediately grabbed onto Miabella's tiny body and grabbed her in a sling.
“We go first, Uncle,” says goodbye to Mia while crying as she pleases.
“Miabella! Badare (be careful)!” romeo exclaimed in a slurred manner, because he was only two years old. Seeing her brother waving excitedly, Tobia followed him.
Sometimes Daniella, who was holding Tobia, wiped her tears. Marco tried to strengthen his wife by gently stroking the woman's back.
“I will often invite my model friends to Monaco, Mia.” It was Francesca's turn who exclaimed cheerfully. But Coco doesn't seem to like that. He turned to his fiancee earlier while putting on a sour face.
Mia watched everything in awe, before entering the helicopter. Adriano was quick to help sit Miabella in a special chair. He put his seat belt on properly. After that, Adriano switched to Mia and put a headset on the woman's head.
Adriano signaled to the helicopter pilot that everything was ready. The pilot pulled the steering lever and took them flying away from the Casa de Luca.
It would not take them an hour until they arrived at the Adriano mansion, located in the heart of Monte Carlo. The helicopter landed smoothly on the runway. Adriano waited until the propeller stopped turning, then rushed down Mia and Miabella. At the end of the runway, his loyal aide had stood gallantly welcoming the arrival of Adriano.
So did Olivia who stood not far from Pierre. In addition to looking happy and excited, their faces also seemed to wonder, as Adriano walked closer while holding a toddler and holding a woman who looked so beautiful in Olivia's eyes.
“Sorry if it's not polite. However, may I ask you something, Mister?” Doubtful Olivia opened her voice.
“Gosh. Every day of these three years, he always asks where you are, Sir. Same question every day,” complained Pierre.
Olivia's face was blushing. However, it did not dampen his desire to ask, “Sorry, Sir, but who is this mistress and little child?”
“Ah, I'm sorry that these past few weeks have rarely told you. Pierre, Olivia, meet. She's Mia and Miabella. From this moment on, Mia will be the big mistress here, since we are married. This is my daughter,” explained Adriano. He then raised Miabella higher in his carrier, then kissed the puffed cheek.
It was unexpected how shocked Pierre and Olivia were to hear Adriano's reply. Especially for Olivia. He was like he had been struck by a lightning strike, which had managed to suck his energy to nothing.
