The Destiny

The Destiny
Special episode: Rachel Story

"I used to want to live like a flower, to be the most beautiful among the other flowers and to be liked by many beetles.

In the past, my dream was to be the spotlight of many people. That's because, my life is less attention than my parents.

This is my story— journey

I was born to a woman who was the second wife of a wealthy old man. That sounds like a television movie, no, well but that's the truth.

My real father was an old man who looked more like my own grandfather than a father.

My mother married her for a fortune, that's right. From the beginning everything was a mistake. Marrying for a fortune will never bring happiness, which there will only make a person never satisfied with his life.

Then, one day, my real father died of his heart disease. That day was the hardest day for me. Not because I was sad, but after my father died, my brother and my mother and I were treated very badly, my stepbrother from my first wife did not like us one bit. We're like a bunch of disgusting junk living in that house.

Getting bad treatment, it's not my mother if she's going to stay there.

That day, the rain was pouring down, I could remember it clearly. A taxi stopped in front of the big house. Mom pulled me and my brother into the cab. Without saying goodbye, we left the house that had been my home until I was a teenager.

It was sad to leave a place full of memories. Although not many happy memories are left behind, but because of the lack of sweet memories, make this self difficult to forget.

Then, my life that once existed must now be limited to makeshift facilities.

We live with the rest of our savings and the little legacy we have.

It continued like that, until finally, the mother married a widower owner of a department store company.

Look how my mother fell so much in love with that middle-aged man.

After we got married, we moved to my stepfather's house. Just like in the previous place, we were greeted badly by our half-brother.

They were Keana and Kenan, two sisters who hated me so much. The first time I saw them, it made my bad memories of my previous half-brother return. That's why I hate them so much too.

I thought, a hatred must be repaid with hatred anyway, if I am weak like before, I will only continue to be a weak figure, who will always be oppressed.

And then, as time passed, the sense of injustice in life that made me do bad deeds, made my life completely ruined.

The day I got pregnant, my stepfather was furious, everyone was looking down on me, as was my mother and sister. Seeing all that made myself want to stop breathing.

But it turned out that all those problems were huge stones covering the end of the dark cave. When I removed the large and heavy stones one by one, I— finally found a glimmer of light that led me to a better life than before.

Keana, the half-sister I hate, was the first one to help me get rid of those big, heavy stones. He was the first to give me strength and spirit in the moments when I wanted to give up and stop fighting.

Since then, I have felt like a different person every day. The happiness that comes to me, is not a pseudo happiness that only feels a moment, but every moment, every second, and every time.

The culmination of my happiness is the presence of Nana in my life, her birth which I did not originally expect, is now like a gift from the creator. She's the most beautiful gift I have.

He is the light of my life. His presence, led me to find my purpose in life. I want to be successful, raise her well, and make her an extraordinary woman in the future.

And now, I no longer want to be a beautiful flower, nor a flower that many beetles love, I don't want any more.

Now, I want to be the sky, which will always be there at night or day, which is high up there. Everyone needs to raise their head to look at the sky, I want to be looked at like that. Not like a flower, which will wither and be trampled as it falls from its stem."

"And now the word happy ending is written at the end of your story." Said a man who had managed to take my heart.

I smiled at him, though,

"Not yet." I said, making her smile with a face full of question marks.

"When man still has life, there will never be an end, for a story of life will continue until we close our eyes forever and leave life in this world."

The man was still smiling at me, a smile of warmth that I always liked about him, a smile that made me fall for him.

"If so, all the stories will end sadly." Said.

I laughed at his words, though,

"Getting out of this world doesn't mean a sad ending, it's just the mindset of everyone."

"You mean, getting out of this world is a joy?"

I laughed again, a laugh more than ever.

"Not really. I don't know, death is a mystery, happy or not, you can ask the person who has gone."

"You're kidding me, which is really how I asked?" He said with a laugh that also adorned his beautiful face.

For a moment, we laughed together. Releases a hormone that triggers happiness in the heart.

Simply put, with him I was happy, telling stories and then exchanging thoughts and then laughing, all of which we did without any boredom.

The day that passed was felt with beautiful rainbow colors.

But behind this beauty there will certainly be another sadness that greets, whether it is.

It's just, I won't care about her. Because today is my life, and tomorrow is a hope that remains a mystery to me.

Now, the smile of my day is not because my life is perfect, but because I am grateful for all that I have.

End.✍
