The Destiny

The Destiny
Special episode: Alex Story

A man stood in front of the tomb, looking at the tomb long enough.

The afternoon breeze blew gently, removing the heat from the dim shining sun above.

Alex was still motionless in his position, the tomb was like a magnetic field that attracted his vision to not switch anywhere.

It's been a long time since I visited you father. — Inner Alex began to say.

His eyes sparkled, the radiance of the past as if twisted like a film roll in his head.

It all started the day the man was seven years old. Alex sets foot in a new home.

A very large and spacious house, many servants greeted him with respect.

At that time what Alex thought was the pleasure that would greet him, who would have thought if the father he rarely met was a wealthy man.

"He's your brother. Ray, greet your sister." Said the father at the time.

Alex smiled, extending his hand to greet the ten-year-old little man.

Alex hung his hand in the air for a long time, but Ray never returned his greeting, sad that felt by the heart of the seven-year-old child.

"Ray!" Said their father, warning Ray to be kind to his sister.

"I don't have a sister! And my mother is only one! I hate daddy! I hate you!" Ray said, as soon as he finished saying all the contents of his heart that moved emotions, Ray left the house.

At that time, little Alex could only stare at the departure of the older brother with a look at him innocently. The hate speech Ray said made the man's heart shrink, he was sad.

"The waiter takes young master Alex to his room." Said a man who was always next to his father.

Alex looked at his mother, with a smile and a small nod from her, and Alex followed the maid who took him to the new room.

That was the start of life for Alex, his birth was a mistake. Although his father was responsible to his mother, there was never any happiness that was created from that responsibility.

Days passed and Alex grew up, in his growth, always trying to get recognition from his father or brother.

He always inscribed a proud achievement, but all of it is still lost far from the brother who seems to always be versatile.

"Don't ever think if you're my sister! You're just the son of a bitch." Those words were so hard for Alex. Ray said it when their father died.

The departure of the father, made Alex treated worse, not in terms of violence, not also materially.

Alex and his mother were still allowed to live in the house, but were considered ghosts, never existed. Ray never asked her to speak.

As it goes, until someone is present in Ray's life, making his brother change slowly. The one who amazed Alex, the woman who was able to restore Ray's true nature, kind and gentle heart, was Ray's true self.

For Alex, Ray is second only to his father who he so admired.

Making Ray proud was Alex's biggest dream.

However, it seems he failed with his dream, he has disappointed many people.

A coward, loser and irresponsible man is the best expression to describe the actions he has done.

Then another word that triggered his worst trauma was about being responsible for his actions.

Alex refuses, not because he doesn't like it, but his childhood trauma surrounds him back then. He is afraid to be like his father who makes sorrow in the heart of a child.

All there was a reason, only her brother understood her back then.

But in the end, he still came to Rachel to account for his actions. But the girl refused it.

Rachel has another option. At times like that, Alex's heart felt claustrophobic. Not because of jealousy, but because of the boy.

Several times passed the day by sharing the time of caring for Nana, making the man's heart feel an endless affection for his biological child.

It was a pleasure to see Nana slowly growing. Every time, Alex never let go of his surveillance on the girl.

Nana was like something so precious. Alex never knew when he cared so much about his son.

But, not as expected. Delay is a delay, it's like a punishment he deserves. Now there was no place for him to be Nana's father, when Rachel had chosen, so he slowly walked back with eyes that would continue to guard and watch over his son from a distance.

"You're here?" A baritone voice disperse the film roll that rotated on Alex's head.

Alex turned his head, looking at Ray who was walking closer to him. The man placed a flower bucket in the tomb adjacent to their father's tomb.

"Is this the anniversary of your mother's death?" Ask Alex.

Ray stared at the well-treated navel, the sad, hidden strokes, Alex could feel from her brother.

"Hm." Ray answered, then looked at his sister.

"What are you doing here? Talk to dad about something?" Ray asked as he looked at his father's grave.

"I've decided." Alex said, making Ray frown confusedly staring at him.

"Decide what?" Ask Ray who does not understand what Alex says.

"I'll take care of the branch company, can you cut me off and move me there, brother?" It was a request that Alex had been thinking about for quite some time.

"Alex, are you sure? How long do you need? I know, you want to go and calm yourself down. But, Nana is still your son, you still have rights and obligations over her." Said Ray.

"I don't know when I'll be back. Besides, I'm asking you to move me there instead of assigning me to solve the problem that's going on there."

Ray sighed, he stared at the two adjoining tombs for a moment, before then looking back at his sister.

"All right." Ray said, his hand moving, patting Alex on the shoulder.

"Let's go home, it's late and it's cloudy." Ray said, then walked away from there ahead of Alex.

Dad, your bad deeds are like a disease that's contagious to me, but it seems like the ones you consider good aren't contagious to me. I can't take responsibility for her, this time not because I don't want to, but because there's another man who's much better for me to make that girl happy. But father, I assure you, I will not ignore my son, I do not want to be you who gives me facilities but never pay attention to me or protect me. I'll be a shadow to my son's father, it's my choice right now until Nana succeeds.

End.✍
