Chapter 66

Josh's cell phone ringing voice shifted the awkward silence that had occurred at the dining table. After Josh's dinner is almost over, Josh immediately moves from his seat to the room to pick up his phone. The reaction is a little anxious because the ringtone is used specifically if there is an emergency call from the hospital if something urgent happens. Either about emergency surgery or an uncontrolled hospital situation.

"Yes?" Josh answered directly while praying that nothing serious happened at the hospital where he currently leads. Just two days he was on leave, was there a situation that necessitated his arrival? Josh wondered if what he was thinking had not happened.

"Sorry director, there's a little problem here. Can you come right away? There is a family of patients rampaging because they do not accept the emergency surgery performed by a doctor. And the patient's family didn't accept it and accused us of running a practice mall. So I beg the director?" Said a nurse from across her phone.

"certain. Ten minutes not five minutes I come." Josh answered firmly taking his needs, including his phone and wallet and car keys.

Josh wears his coat in a hurry while leaving the room. Living alone in an apartment close to the hospital makes Josh accustomed to coming if every moment and every time is needed. Sometimes Josh chooses to stay in his study at the hospital if he doesn't have to go home.

But seeing Alexa who was already standing at the door of his room with a face that was also panicked and anxious made Josh speechless. He almost forgot that he was now a husband. Shouldn't he be aware of that and not carelessly say the news from the urgent hospital.

At least he needs permission from his wife even though it is only two days they are legal as a couple. Josh approached Alexa who was looking at him expectantly to be told what was happening from her anxious looking eyes.

"sorry. I have to go to the hospital. There's a little problem so I..." Josh's words full of guilt immediately interrupted Alexa as if he knew how busy this husband is.

"Go! I'm fine here alone." Alexa smiled even though she was a little forced. He is not afraid of himself. Especially here is not the place where stepmother and step-sister always look for trouble with her. It is better to live alone but apart from them than to be with them in the same place.

"I'm sorry. I should still be on leave." Josh feels guilty.

"No problem. You're more needed there. You're a doctor, too, director there. I'll be home well." Answer Alexa forced her smile so that her husband did not feel more guilty. Though they were getting closer to getting to know but everything had to be delayed because of her husband's duties as a doctor.

"thank you. Tomorrow will come to help and accompany you here. I don't know if I'll be home soon or not. Call me if anything happens! I'll be here soon." Said Josh fix a slightly neat appearance even though not dressed formally.

"Okay." Answer Alexa.

"I'm leaving." Josh replies to the apartment door followed by Alexa delivering out of the house. Alexa just nodded her head assuring not to do any action even though she actually wanted to say something. But her husband must leave immediately.

Alexa waved her hand when her husband had entered the elevator whose door was closed so he did not know the wave of his wife's hand. Alexa lowered her hand to look at the elevator door.

"What do you expect Alexa? Your husband kisses you on the forehead like any other married couple?" Guman Alexa turned her body to get into the apartment but the sound of the elevator door opened made Alexa barren to enter. And I don't know how fast Josh suddenly approached him who along with Alexa back turned his body.

An old kiss on his forehead made Alexa's body freeze and the facial hue on his cheeks flushed like a boiled crab.

"I'm sorry, I forgot about it." Josh went back into the elevator and waved his hand at his wife who was still silent in the freezing body. Until the elevator door was perfectly closed Alexa jerked from the freezing made herself cover her face with both hands.

"It's so sweet." Alexa smiles sumringah.

Josh himself had his ears flushed to the nape of his neck while in the elevator. Actually, he's very embarrassed. Only this time he took the initiative to kiss the woman and the woman is now his wife. When the door was about to close for the first time, Josh's eyes faintly saw his wife waving with a sad face. Josh understood why his wife's face was like that.

And he immediately pressed the elevator door open and immediately ran to his wife who almost entered the apartment. Somehow the courage from which he was sure that his wife was waiting for him to kiss either forehead, forehead, cheeks or lips as his farewell greeting.

"Why is she so cute?" Guman Josh laughed to himself in the elevator that was just him.

Alexa went into the apartment to the kitchen to clean up their dinner last night. She even still left a little food because she was anxious to see her husband's anxious face when he got a call from the hospital where he worked.

"What's going on?" Josh asked to see a middle-aged woman rampaging in front of the operating room shouting blame to the doctor there. Two lawyers have also spoken.

"Director, have you come?" Said a nurse.

"I'll talk to them." Josh answered them, the patient's family and two lawyers who accompanied him were attacking the team of doctors who handled the operation of their family's son who died and did not receive his son died on the operating table. Some security is also already there as well that can not dwell because it is blocked by the family bodyguard that is quite decent. Swearing, swearing and swearing were heard from the lips of the middle-aged woman whom he guessed the mother of the deceased patient.

"What's this?" Josh interjected between them.

"Who are you? You're a doctor like them?" Accuse the middle-aged mother.

"Director." The doctor greeted Josh politely who had appeared, Josh standing in front of the team of doctors.

"Oh you're the director of this hospital?" Said one of the family lawyers coming forward to talk to Josh.

"How about we talk in my room?" Tawar Josh pointed his study room to his left which was not far from the operating room.

"Why? You're afraid your hospital is proven guilty and known to many people who saw it?" Exclaimed the middle-aged woman who had been angry since earlier.

"Sorry lady. It's a hospital. Many patients need peace. It's unethical if we're noisy here and interfere with the comfort of other patients." Josh said wisely with complete calmness.

"You killed my son. Return my son! If you can't save him, you should say you can't. And we're gonna take my son away." The hysterical exclaim of the woman was immediately calmed by her husband who was a little patient not as emotional as his wife.

Josh looked at the lawyer who suddenly frowned feeling familiar with Josh's face. Instantly his face flinched in shock and suddenly he was polite and bowed respectfully to Josh who was only taken for a glance by Josh.

"Madam, it would be best if we had a good talk in the director's office. It might be more obvious to sit down." Said the lawyer who had recognized Josh as the son of the heir to one of the tycoons of the country famous for generosity and honesty. The lawyer believes that the alleged practice mall that his client alleged must be wrong.

"Aren't you the one who suggested attacking them!" The middle-aged woman shouted, pointing at her lawyer's face. The lawyer was immediately wrong to feel uncomfortable in front of Josh. Josh, who has been quiet since, has been listening to everything. Even he gave a glance at the two lawyers that made them lower their heads slightly stiffened.

"We'll talk about it in my study." Take Josh again while glancing at the lawyer who looked at him as if urging him to persuade his client.

"Be good, sir." The lawyer replied timidly while continuing to persuade his client and finally they entered the workspace Josh. Previously Josh entered his room, Josh asked one of the team of doctors who operated earlier to provide a file of detailed reports about the history of the disease as well as the patient's medical record and the results of the operation.

"Good director." Answer the doctor who led the operation.
