The Untold Story

The Untold Story
What's the matter with...?

"Tell me Bellatrix Atmaja... No, Bellatrix Wardhana...." Aditya paused for a moment and took a deep breath.

"Do you love her?" Aditya squeezed the paper and placed it on my palm.

I still look into his eyes. The eyes I always hated. Eyes that never show warmth and love. The eyes that had once implied something that I did not understand, but I finally realized that this time the eyes were implying... The wounds......

I did not answer the man's question, for I could not believe what I had just seen. Is it true that a baj*ngan like Aditya can get hurt?

But at the moment.... It's not just the eyes that concern me. The man's appearance also made me barely recognize him. I don't know why this time I feel that Aditya looks so 'worrying'.

A man who usually looks neat, a man who always wrapped in an expensive suit, now looks very shabby. Not to mention his eyes reddened, like a person who had not slept all night. His hair was so messy and his face looked so tired like someone who was forced to work rods day and night.

What's up with.... Adityas?

"Bellatrix!!! Did the Atmaja family never teach you manners? I'm asking you!" Aditya spoke coldly.

"It's none of your business, Aditya..." I replied by taking my eyes off.

"Oh yeah? Now tell me what's my business?" Aditya clenched his hand.

"Do I need to assert my rights? Do I need to touch your body again so that you realize that everything you have, from head to toe, is mine and is my business?" My body stiffened again as Aditya stepped towards me after saying those words.

Memories of what happened that night came to light again. The memory of how Aditya tried to harass me.

"You are indeed baj*ngan!!! How dare you touch and harass me!!" I straightened my body and tried to hit him. The infusion needle attached to my right hand has now even come loose and bleed due to my sudden and spontaneous movements.

I could feel the pain when the infusion needle was plucked. But I really don't care about that feeling. What I think about now is the way that I can reach out to the man and punch him.

"B, your hands!!" Aditya was shocked when he saw the blood rushing down my palm.

He stepped around the bed, moving his standing position so he could examine my injured hand. Deftly, the man immediately picked up some tissue on the nightstand and tried to stop and clean the blood that continued to flow.

"Damn!! Shit!!" Aditya said non-stop with a panicked face.

"Get your hands off! Don't touch me Baj*ngan!!" I rebelled while shouting loudly.

I really don't want that baj*ngan to touch me again. I thrashed and screamed nonstop until Vina, who was originally outside, walked back unceremoniously into the room to check my condition.

Just as the woman opened the door, she immediately widened her eyes and said, "Gentlemen... Holy hooch! What's wrong with Madam?"

Vina quickened her pace. It looks like it's half-run.

"Call Doctor!!!" Aditya exclaimed as he glanced at the girl at a glance, then refocused on my hands that were still bleeding.

Vina was stunned until she suddenly stopped her steps. The girl may feel shocked due to Aditya's snapping.

"Are you deaf??? Call the Doctor right now, fool!!!" Aditya shouted in frustration.

"B-good Sir!" Without waiting any longer, the girl walked out of my room in a row.

"Go from here! Don't touch me!!" I screamed and still tried to hit him with all my might while crying sobbing.

"What are you doing? Stop being a fool by hurting yourself!" Aditya spoke while releasing his hand from mine.

He then held my shoulder and shook my body several times. I, who was stunned to see his reaction, finally stopped my attack on Aditya.

Our eyes meet. We both looked at each other. The man was silent now, as if he was holding something back, until suddenly.....

Pyarrr!!!!!

The sound of a mirror breaking due to Aditya's fist. To be honest, I was so surprised, when he swung his hand earlier. I thought he was going to hit me, so I tried to protect my head with both hands.

Fresh blood flowed from Aditya's hand that came into contact with the shards of the mirror. I even saw some broken glass stuck to his knuckles.

"W-what did you just do?" With a trembling voice I ventured to speak to her.

"Do you love her?" Aditya looked at me deeply. His eyes showed that he was searching for the truth.

"Your hands...." I watched his hands continue to bleed.

"Do you love her? Just answer my question!" Aditya spoke in an increasingly cold tone and kept looking at me sharply.

"Yes...." I turned my eyes to another place.

I'm actually afraid to tell Aditya this. I was afraid that he would harm the man I loved. However, I realized that I should not do something that could make his anger even more so.

"Then... Why do you seem to agree to marry me? I've never even heard of your rejection." Aditya asked again.

"I can't refuse. I can't possibly get both of my parents hurt." I still turned my face to avoid her gaze, even so from the corner of my eyes, I was still able to catch that Aditya kept looking at me.

"Where is that man?" Aditya continued his question.

"Go...." I started sobbing as I remembered the pain, remembering that I might never be able to see Indra forever.

"Did he know that... You love her too?" Aditya said softly. Even so, question after question continued to be thrown by the man without stopping.

I shook my head. It is possible that Indra knows my feelings even though I have never expressed them, but this time I will not speculate.

My tears kept flowing until my cheeks were completely wet. Along with that, my sobs broke and grew.

If only I had a chance to express my feelings. If only I could choose who I would spend the old days with. If I were a seagull free to fly above the blue sea and not a bird in a poor golden cage....

Aditya is getting closer to me. He then touched my chin gently. However, my body that seemed to be traumatized by her touch stiffened again.

"You're afraid of me?" Aditya looked at me with a sad look on his face.

I nodded my head. I was scared and hoped he would never touch me again.

"I'm sorry... It won't happen again." An arrogant man like Aditya apologized? Did I not hear wrong.

Aditya still touched my chin and then directed it so that our eyes would meet again. Slowly her thumb wiped away the tears that were running down my cheek.

"From now on stop hurting yourself! Ever since we got married, you've been my whole responsibility, therefore at least don't do something that can make me a useless husband." Aditya took a deep breath and exhaled it back violently.

"At least, keep my good name up...." The man paused for a moment and closed his eyes.

"Until I take you to the man so you can express your feelings to him." Aditya opened his eyes. Highlight the eyes that implied the wound was back in sight.

"I-I don't understand." I tried to digest the sentence slowly because I was afraid that I would conclude it wrong.

"We.... We're gonna find that guy. However, as long as we still haven't found it, you're still in my charge" Aditya explained as he pulled his hand away from my face. He then straightened his body and stood behind me.

"And after we find him?" I try to make things clearer. I don't want to look stupid because I expect too much.

"I'm going to end this marriage." I'm stunned. I can't believe what I just heard.

Adityas? Unhook me? The lion takes off its prey?

Just now that I wanted to open my mouth to respond, suddenly the door opened again. Vina went inside the room I was in together with a man, who was most likely a doctor.

Both Vina and the doctor were a little surprised when they saw the messy condition of my room. Not to mention the sheer amount of broken glass that was strewn about certainly added a row of questions in their minds about what had just happened between me and Aditya.

"The whole thing missed the doctor... Please check the condition." The man spoke to the man who had come with Vina calmly.

"Good sir," the Doctor replied immediately.

Upon hearing the Doctor's words, Aditya left my room without looking back. I was still staring at his passing back with a strange feeling that invaded the chest.

What happened to Aditya? What the hell happened to him? Question after question alternately strapped my senses.

And look in those eyes..... What does it mean? Did those scar-filled eyes appear because I lowered her self-esteem by loving other men?

"Cheal quickly! If you really want to meet him." A final sentence was uttered by Aditya before his body disappeared behind the bedroom door.

The day I heard the strange words spoken was the last day I met Aditya until the next month. As long as he was gone, I heard nothing of him and never saw him again inside the mansion.

Aditya Wardhana, don't you know what happened to him? But whatever it is, one day maybe I'll thank him. He's not as bad as I imagined.
