*Swimming Pool Area, Suvretta House, Switzerland: 2003*
I am currently in the hotel's indoor pool area, enjoying a poolside lunch. No one is swimming in the area because the pool water temperature regulator is in the process of improvement.
After spending time crying all night and not being able to sleep well, I finally decided to end this chaotic feeling by going out of the room and filling my stomach. I had missed my morning meal and automatically this afternoon my stomach immediately screamed, demanding to be filled.
Of course I did, when I had managed to minimize the swelling on both eyelids. I certainly shouldn't look too pathetic, should I?
I haven't seen that guy since our fight last night. Maybe he is spending time with his favorite girl. But, whatever he's working on right now, I shouldn't have to care about any of that.
Just as I finished eating the Apple strudle as a dessert served by a restaurant waiter on my desk, I suddenly heard a woman's voice shrieking loudly in my ear. A very familiar voice. Someone I thought was spending time with that guy.
"You're here apparently. Where's Aditya?" The girl tried to start the conversation. He asked me in a disrespectful manner and speech.
I didn't reply to him. I really don't want to serve anything related to that girl anymore. There's been quite a lot of chaos since he was between me and Aditya. I really don't want to deal with him!
I continued my activities as if there was no Maya there. I poured the hot green tea originally placed in the pot into my cup and intended to drink it slowly.
"Why should he marry a woman like you. You really don't deserve to be with a man as great and as good as Aditya." From the corner of my eye, sucking the edge of the teacup, I found Maya squinting her eyes and looking at me with a look of disdain. However, I reaffirmed my heart that I should not be provoked by it.
"Sorry, I'm done. Excuse me," I said as I stood up and intended to step away from the woman after finishing my cup of tea and forget that there were still a lot of hot green tea left in the pot that was actually waiting for me to spend. But, really! I really want to calm down.
Maya incubates. I could see the annoyance in the look in his eyes as I glanced at his face in passing.
Just as I swung my feet a few steps, Maya suddenly took my green tea pot, opened the lid, and then splashed it on my chest.
"Ohahhhh!!" I screamed in pain from the heat that was so slashing against the skin, in contrast to the cold air there.
Some of the servants around tried to approach us. Those servants must have seen what Maya did, and were trying to help me.
"What are you doing? You idiot!" I wanted to push the girl's body in anger. However, I haven't had the chance to do so suddenly he clutched my hand.
Once turning her gaze in the other direction and smiling at a glance, Maya again pulled my hand and threw herself into the pool. The girl seemed to make the impression that I was the one pushing her body.
I was stunned when I saw Maya's body in the pool. Especially when I heard that the girl was thrashing while asking for help.
Can Maya not swim? Then why did he have to throw himself into that pool?
"Help!! Uhuk.. Uhuk.." Maya screams for help as she coughed as she swallowed the pool water.
When I heard her screams, I quickly brushed aside the suspicious questions in my mind . However, the safety of the girl should take precedence. That's why without a second thought, I jumped in and meant to save him.
While swimming coldly and approaching Maya, I saw a servant running to and fro to seek help. The remaining two waited for us with a towel by the pool. There were only three maids there and from their gurgles, it seemed that all three of them could not swim.
I kept trying to swim up to Maya with all my might. However, due to the temperature of the water being too cold, and my sudden movements, I then felt intense cramps in my calf muscles. I who originally wanted to help him was even threatened with drowning.
"Aarghhhh!! It's hurt!!" I shouted because of the pain I felt on one of my legs that suddenly cramped.
Actually, when I started to feel my calf muscles clump together, as much as possible I was trying to stay calm in the pool. However, because the water temperature was too cold and the pain was getting worse, I still had trouble keeping myself afloat.
"Help!!" My screams are now heard along with Maya's screams. Even if I could swim, but in this kind of cramp, I could lose my life.
"Help us!!" I kept screaming for both of us, until.....
A few seconds later, someone jumped into the pool where Maya and I were. A man who has filled my head since yesterday.
Yes, Aditya!! I saw him approaching us.
I don't know why I felt my heart warm when I saw her figure. I believe that he can't possibly let anything happen to me and Maya too. I kept saying in my heart that I was safe and I was safe.
At first glance I saw Aditya approaching Maya. I thought that of course he had to save Maya first. The girl may not be able to swim and she has been in the pool longer.
I kept my position to stay afloat with one side of my leg while enduring all the pain and cold that was becoming more and more so at the same time. I tried to hold on in the hope that he would come to me after this.
I still endured the pain with all my might while paying attention to how Aditya clutched tightly onto Maya's body. The man took Maya carefully to the edge of the pool.
At that point I realized that Aditya was actually a caring man. What he did to Maya during this time was actually a form of regular attention because he did care.
I think that attention was also what he tried to show me all along, including when he wanted to protect me from the hungry gazes of the men in the restaurant. I shouldn't have to bother with her attitude and make our good relationship break down.
Given my quarrel with Aditya last night, I intend to apologize to him after this. Yes, of course after he helped me.
I was still waiting for Aditya when I saw that he had started handing Maya's body to a servant standing by the pool. Yet... Instead of returning, the man actually took his body out of the water and took over carrying Maya.
My heart throbbed pain suddenly. Wh why? Only that one word kept on burning in my mind. Am I invisible to him?
The question continued to bother me, until the exhausted me did not try to help myself anymore. I kind of gave up and let the cold water sweep away my pain.
I close my eyes like someone ready to accept death. I stopped all movement and began to feel myself being dragged by water, until...
"Miss... Are you okay, Miss?" A female servant tried to help by holding my shoulder. I don't know since when he was in that pool, I just nodded my head to respond and didn't intend to answer.
"I'll help you, okay? Trust me! Just be calm okay, Miss?" The female servant then swam slowly while hugging me and taking me to the edge of the pool. With the help of some people, I finally managed to get out of the water.
A waiter who had been waiting on the edge, instantly enveloped my entire body with a thick towel as soon as I was by the poolside. The cold air immediately greeted me until I shivered violently even though the thick towel I kept holding.
While trying to pull a common thread over all the events that occur, from concluding Maya's actions to the cold attitude that Aditya shows, the, my eyes then found that the male figure was pumping Maya's chest and giving her an artificial breath.
Mayan... Did he lose consciousness? A moment of worry suddenly came back.
So that's why Aditya left me? Maya, could he be critical right now?
I saw Maya still lying unconscious. With a slight crawl and drag of my aching leg, I tried to get close to the two of them to confirm the girl's condition and intended to offer Aditya some help. Just as I dragged my body a few steps, I suddenly heard Aditya yelling from his place...
"Can you stop hurting other people, Bellatrix??" Aditya looked at me hatefully.
Our eyes looked at each other, before he turned his gaze back to Maya, pumping the girl's chest nonstop, and giving her breathing assistance again.
I was shocked to hear the men's snaps and stopped dragging my body to get close to them. At the same time, I felt this whole body tremble. Either because of the bone-chilling cold or because of the hatred he showed me.
Not long after, Maya regains consciousness and spits out a lot of water from her mouth. Aditya, who looks relieved that the girl survived, suddenly holds the girl back as if he wants to channel warmth. Carefully, Aditya then holds Maya and takes the girl away from the pool area.
Nah! Maybe more precisely he left me. Yes, He left me alone with hidden and invisible wounds.
