You're Not a Figurant

You're Not a Figurant
[POV Alex] Ch 39 - Do You Love Me too?

My body trembled to see it. This outpouring of anger had already reached the crown. I moved closer and grabbed her collar. Prepare to give him my hardened fist.

Before my hand floated, the man held my hand firmly. "A man should not always show his strength by force." He threw my hand out, then sat back down. Staring at me with an unreadable look.

"It seems like a lot of misunderstanding here. You have two choices. Sit down and resolve this misunderstanding, or leave. Let this misunderstanding continue" he said.

I looked at him, read all his expressions and weighed. The amused mimic expression was already invisible on his face, which left behind only a serious facial expression.

I was interested in his last words. A misunderstanding? Whatdoes thatmean? I want to hear an explanation of his words. And I can do that when I sit quietly, hearing every word I say.

I pulled out the chair and sat in front of him. Honestly, anger still filled my chest. The humiliation of being laughed at still cannot be lost from my heart. But I chose to put it all aside, because I was so interested in what he said.

"What do you mean misunderstanding? Which of my words makes you think this is all just a misunderstanding?!" I asked impatiently.

"Sir Yohan, why do you think your wife loves me? I really don't understand that thought..."

"If you tell me to sit down just to talk about my wife's feelings, then I'll close this conversation."

"We must discuss it, because the peak of this misunderstanding comes from your statement. I really don't understand. Where did you actually get that thought from? Why do you think your wife still loves me? Because as far as I know, your wife never loved me. Even when we were still dating."

The sting of feeling shocked hit me. I looked at the man's face deeply, to see his face. There is no demeaning, insulting or belittling look. The eyes look honest and sincere.

I swallowed with difficulty. The man's statement made me happy and scared. I was afraid I was hoping too much and in the end reality would make me fall back.

"I don't know your domestic problems, but I see a lot of misunderstandings here. Either you don't trust your wife, or there's no openness in your relationship." Andre was silent, looking at me. Waiting for me to react to his words. But I chose silence. I want to hear all of his words.

"Honestly, I did love Khansa, long before she became your wife. But that feeling I threw away. I encourage him to be happy. You are the man of choice. You are the man she loves."

"Why do you doubt your wife's feelings? Why did you come to see me just to deliver this kind of nonsense? If Khansa knew her husband like this, she would definitely be heartbroken. His feelings have been doubted." said Andre with a serious look. I cut his words immediately.

"There is nothing to doubt about his feelings. From the beginning Khansa didn't love me. But it's okay, I'll make it..."

"Why are you so sure he doesn't love you? Have you asked him this? Did he clearly say that he didn't love you?"

I fell silent again, unable to answer his words because I never did. I just assumed and concluded, that Khansa doesn't love me. I was too embarrassed and cowardly to ask him directly whether he loved me or not.

"Just say he doesn't love you, would you believe him right away? The words that come out of a woman's mouth are not always the same as what is felt in her heart. You can't trust him right away." Andre paused for a moment, his voice seemed to be filled with emotion. Again, I cannot answer his words.

"Don't you see his gaze? Don't you see the moves? He adores you so much. I thought you were a smart guy, but it turns out my mind was wrong!!"

"Like a little kid who lost his toy, you blindly came here just to say that your wife doesn't love you? Wh why?Do you want to be pitied by the whole world? Why don't you ask him directly? Are you that cowardly?!"

"Ah, stop. I don't want to interfere with your household affairs. Don't involve me in your domestic affairs anymore. My relationship with Khansa is over." Andre stood up, seemingly preparing to leave the place. While I was still sitting, too confused to do anything.

Andre stepped closer to the door. His hand held the doorknob, preparing to exit the room. A moment later he stopped his steps and turned around.

"One more thing. Never doubt his feelings. He loves you very much. I sincerely pray for your happiness." Andre turned back.

His last words made me tickle. Khansa loves me? Why is he so sure?

"Why are you so sure he loves me? While I do not see that love." I murmured softly. Apparently Andre heard my murmur. With wide strides he came back closer and pulled my collar.

"Hey, dear Lord Yohan!! You don't know your wife very well!! Try to think!! Which kind woman would willingly give up her most precious treasure only to a man if she did not really love that man!!"

"Two months we were dating, even to hold her hand she wouldn't allow it!! But she was willing to give up her chastity to the insensitive man who doubted her feelings. What more feeling is that if not a feeling of love?!"

"Maybe my words will make you sure. Yes, Khansa loves you!! He rejected my proposal for loving you!! Why would I know? Because he said that directly!! Are you satisfied and sure now?!" Andre took off his clasped hands on my shirt collar with a bang, pushing my body back. Then he went away. Before he reached the door, he said, saying,

"I don't care if you're going to fire, mutate or demotivate me. Do whatever you want!! I don't care!!"

BRAAAKKK

The man slammed the door right in front of my face. I still stared at the door with a blank look. My mind wanders everywhere. Andre's words rang in my mind.

Khansa loves you!! He rejected my proposal for loving you!! He said that directly!!

My body suddenly shivered at the words. I wanted to believe it, but was too afraid that reality would not be what I expected.

Haha, Khansa loves me too. Are all the words that the man spoke?

Which kind woman would willingly give up her most precious treasure only to a man if he did not really love that man!!

The words came back. Khansa is a fine woman. The most innocent and innocent woman I've ever known. A woman like her would not go that far without a reason behind her. Is it true why he would do that with me because he loves me?!

W-why didn't I ever think of anything like that before? Why do I think only of Khansa's hatred for me? Why don't I look at it from another point of view?

Dear Khansa, do you really love me too?
