Old Town, Zhujia…
The tavern smelled of wine and tobacco smoke, wet shoes and sour breath.
Some drunk men argue over a haphazard spate of nonsense driven by alcohol. They were dressed like Luoji people but spoke with Yuoji accents. Perhaps a two-faced Yuoji sycophant allied with Luoji.
There were six or seven Shashou sitting in front of the empty ranks of wine jugs. They throw jokes at each other, teasing the waitress, who seems to have known them for years.
The woman is not young. His hair was smeared black, his eyelids were swollen, the wrinkles of the fat addict appeared around his lips. He sits resting on his elbow at the bar in a pose that shows many cleavages. He had the challenging and rough face that common-sense women who lived in small places had, and knew how to comfort exhausted men.
The Shashou only glimpsed at the seedy-robed foreign man with a face hidden under the hood of his robe.
Half smiling cynically and snorting thinly, they glanced and threw their faces away to enforce the unwritten rule that strangers shouldn't be here.
This is their tavern, where they unwind at the end of the day.
The secret message is not to disturb them.
Not caring about the cold welcome, the foreign youth stepped onto the worn-out bench behind and ordered a drink. After all, the tavern was a great place to find information, he thought. Maybe even looking for something!
The existence of the mysterious young man and the Shashou in the same place made the atmosphere of the wine shop not too pleasant.
Especially when one of the older Sashou kept glancing towards the newcomer.
"Find out if he's a traveler or Luoji?" one of Shashou whispered to the maid while groaning his butt.
The woman giggled with a reddened face in pleasure. Then walked towards the newcomer's table. His wiggy fingers touched the young man's shoulder as he lowered his head whispering something.
Shortly afterwards, the woman returned to the Shashou's table, "He's not Luoji," she reported. "He said he was from Naseli!"
"What empty egg?" The older Shashou kicked the surface of the table with his fist. "Naseli is a dead village that is already uninhabited!"
Naseli is the name of a village on Liuwang, a remote island of mixed-race exile. The golden-haired Hua Zu birth village. It is now an uninhabited dead village.
A group of drunk men suddenly half-awake and choose to find safety.
Like being able to sniff out the danger lurking, some visitors started to leave their desks and pay all the bills to then sneak out.
The rest of the three men at one table still survive. Their clothes did not look like Luoji people nor Yuoji people. It looks more like traders or travelers coming from foreign lands.
Seeing that the situation was getting uncomfortable, the maids began to shuffle away from the visitor's table.
One of Shashou looked around with his eyebrows intertwined, then returned to glancing at the newcomer and exchanged glances with his comrades. Shortly after, the two men in ninja uniforms approached the mysterious young man's desk.
The maid who had just placed the drink of the youth's order immediately soared away from her desk.
The young man remained downcast, while the two men in ninja uniforms had already bowed in front of his desk, scrutinizing the young man with squinted eyes.
"Why are you covering your face?" ask one of them to the young man.
The young man did not answer.
"Are you Luoji's bastard?" ask the others.
The three men at the other table glanced at each other. Their eyeballs twitched uneasily hearing the Luoji nation mentioned with sarcasm.
Lim Shin Wu and his two subordinates were undercover to search for information related to Mi Sai Ya.
"Can you put down your head cover? Show us your fucking face!" the man in the ninja uniform rebuked the young man.
The young man simply poured his wine elegantly into the cup and raised it towards the two men in ninja uniforms as friendly-natured.
One of them snarled as he brushed off the cup, but somehow the contents of the cup spilled onto the face of the man in the ninja uniform earlier.
A moment later, the two men in ninja uniforms raised their fists to the face of the mysterious young man simultaneously.
And in an instant the young man instantly accommodated the attacks of the two with a palm.
BRACKET!
Fights are inevitable.
The Shashou who were originally just watching from their table went up in unison, slammed into the young man's table and surrounded him.
The mysterious youth soared and landed on the table as the ninjas lunged together.
The young man now soared a twisting kick and two men in ninja uniforms bounced back with a loud jolt.
BRUISES!
The sounds of thumping and crackling followed by the hysterical screams of the female servants, making the atmosphere of the shop even more rowdy.
Every time the Shashou lunged in unison, the mysterious young man soared or grazed with a twisting kick that made them stray in just one jolt.
Every time the Shashou attacked one by one, the mysterious young man threw a kick at the assailant while his hand threw a dagger in all directions in just one blow.
Now the Shashou have been slumped here and there with serious injuries in some parts of their bodies, some have been sprawled without the light of life, some are dying.
"Who are you really?" screech one of the surviving Shashou but is already helpless, inching his way into a corner of the room.
The young man was now standing in the middle of the room among the pieces of furniture debris that had been crushed and scattered throughout the room with the stormy movements he had made during the fight.
The young man turned towards Shashou who was yelling at him with a very flexible slow motion, then lowered his head covering while smiling sideways. Her porcelain-white taper face seemed to glow. "I'm the bastard Kaida," he said cynically, then turned around and rushed out of the tavern.
The three men at the other table finally moved after Shin Wu gave an implied order through the twinkling of his eyes. Shin Wu approached the vending table to pay all the bills on their table.
The servants stammered between shaken and enchanted. Worshipped watching the back of the mysterious black-haired young man glint as straight as the ruler with a stunned look.
"He's very handsome" murmured one of them as if he was gobsmacked.
"Is he the coming king who was foretold?" the other whisper. "I heard he's from Naseli!"
Shin Wu looked at the maid with a glittering look exuding interest. Mi Sai Ya, her inner being was excited.
From Naseli?
Is there anything good in Nassa? thought. Instantly the shadow of his childhood events flashed in his mind.
