The galloping sounds of the hundreds of armor shoes of the bodyguards clashing against the floor echoed throughout the place.
A number of bodyguards scattered from various angles and crowded in the courtyard beside Xi Xia's estate.
"There!" shouted one of the guards while pointing at the roof as a shadow flashed as fast as lightning towards the forest behind the palace fortress.
In the next instant, the guards again scattered in all directions to chase their quarry. Some went up to the roof, some went into the back yard.
A number of shadow bodyguards sneaked out of hiding and chased their prey in a different way from ordinary bodyguards thanks to the ability of science to lighten the body.
Simultaneously General Tio Jun and judge Tian's son soared simultaneously to the roof without a cue, and instantly the dark shadow stopped moving in the midst of the two young men's siege. The eyes of the sword were both drawn at his left-right.
A thin grin expands at the corner of the intruder's lips under the hood of his cloak.
The swords of the two young men were exactly the same. Whether they realize it or not.
As the two young men began to jump and swing their swords, the dark-robed intruder soared in a twisting motion in the air in incredible speed.
SLASHY!
SLASHY!
Two daggers shot towards the two young men from between the intruder's fingers.
Hua Zu's bodyguards spontaneously soared from the grounds swinging their swords and fending off the two daggers, while Tio Jun and Tian Xu had already dodged with no less swift movements.
A fierce battle is inevitable between the mysterious intruder and at least two mutants and one celestial soldier.
A number of bodyguards around the place suddenly froze in their respective places, amazed at the fierce battle beyond their reasoning.
The shadow bodyguards retreated regularly and slipped into the dark corners, to avoid everyone's attention. Keep an eye on the fight from the most hidden places on the tree branches while keeping watch.
Seeing the speed of the intruder they suddenly hesitated to be able to handle it.
Lin Yao exchanged glances with his brother with an anxious expression from the opposite corner of the backyard, feeling familiar with the intruder's movement technique.
The dark-robed man made more twisting movements in the air to attack, or flick the edge of his robe to fend off attacks.
Hua Zu watched the fight from the passageway with a flat expression, while Shin Wu gaped beside him.
The fighters on his left-right attacked in a rhythmless dance. If one goes up, the other goes up. If the other twisted, the other shot straight with the sword thrust into the intruder's chest.
The flickering swords of Hua Zu's bodyguards, Tio Jun and Tian Xu shimmered under the silvery moonlight like just a faint flash of light, while the figure of the intruder was as if it was just a storm of fog that was not caught by normal vision.
There was no sound of thumping, or crackling like the impact of metal. Even the sound of the heels of his fourth shoe did not sound as if they never landed to just set foot for a while and then soared again. Only a rustling and whistling sound was between the dim light movements as the four figures on the roof darted about in abstract faded form.
A moment and a moment of dark figure in the middle of the siege twisted rapidly forming a tornado vortex, and the three figures around him slammed together.
BRUISES!
Then there was a voice.
And before the shadow guards reacted, before everyone was able to blink, the dark shadow had already disappeared out of nowhere.
That short time the fierce battle was over and melted in the dimness of the night.
And everyone was still frozen holding their breath.
Hua Zu let out a short sigh and shook his head without interest. He could have chased and caught the intruder in one blink of an eye. But he chose to release her.
It was at that moment that everyone started moving with a short jolt, then froze back to look at them.
Tio Jun and Tian Xu exchanged glances with clenched brows, then choked to realize their swords were similar to those of Hua Zu's bodyguards.
"What's going on?" whispered the guards around them. "Why do their swords look the same?"
"Are they from one school?"
Shin Wu frowned, then glanced at Hua Zu.
The man smiled faintly. They were even equipped with sky swords, he thought sourly.
A third of the stars were dragged to earth, and that meant tens of thousands of celestial swords scattered across the earth.
Tio Jun and Tian Xu were only a small part of the threat on earth. The rest only the Great God knows. How many god races had been crushed, how many human races had been changed, all of them only Hua Zu knew.
But that's not the point of coming down to earth.
It was easy for him to sort, gather, and bring them back to their respective places.
But that wasn't Hua Zu's plan.
Xi Xia rushed towards the crowd in the courtyard beside his estate, approaching Shin Wu and Hua Zu in a hurry while hugging Hua Zu's cat.
Governor Pao-Lu and Consort Yuwen followed behind him, followed by a number of curious nobles.
The guards bowed to the governor.
"Not caught?" Pao-Lu asks while looking around with eyes squinted.
"The intruder mastered the science of super-speed," Shin Wu said in defense of the bodyguards.
Pao-Lu turned to Shin Wu with a scornful look, "I saw that at least four people had such strength just a moment ago," he said impatiently. "Is not one comparable to him?"
Shin Wu simply shrugged his shoulders.
Hua Zu smiled wryly, while Tio Jun and Tian Xu exchanged looks with an offended look.
"Check your room, and make sure if any valuables are missing" Hua Zu whispered near Xi Xia's ear. "If anything goes missing, I promise I'll go after the intruder and return your belongings. But if not, forget about this and just fix the security system."
Xi Xia smiled and nodded enthusiastically, then turned around and rushed towards his room followed by Shin Wu behind him.
Their father watched the two with a wry look, then turned to Hua Zu and cleared his throat, trying to fix his facial expression. "What brings you here, Your Highness Zhu?" the question was pleasantries, still unsure if his mysterious guest needed to watch out.
"A little deal with your son," Hua Zu replied without distracting her from Shin Wu and Xi Xia.
Concubine Yuwen had not blinked looking at Hua Zu since arriving at the grounds.
"Give me the honor of visiting you at my table" Pao-Lu asked, bowing slightly and raising one hand towards the corridor leading to the banquet hall.
"Sure, Governor," Hua Zu replied as calm as a rock.
Tio Jun scanned Hua Zu's back with a stare intensity that could burn, while Tian Xu seemed to think hard.
The sky army escorting Hua Zu glanced at them with a faint smile. Mutants! thought cynical. Then hurried to follow the motorcade of the nobles back in the hall.
