"Are you an angel sent from heaven?" xi Xia asked in apparent admiration. Totally fascinated.
"I am the one who sent myself," the man replied among a faint smile that was extremely mesmerizing.
Xi Xia blushed, "So you're a god or an angel?"
"Don't that mean the same thing?" the man gave up.
"In my belief, angels and gods are different!" sergeant Xi Xia while raising his chin.
"In the world of gods, faith does not apply!" the man told.
Xi Xia furrowed his brows, moved back slightly, then one of his eyebrows shot up as he looked at the man in astonishment. "So you're really a god?"
"I can be anything" the man smiled again.
Xi Xia's heart skipped like it was hitting his ribs, but he didn't know what to do.
Xi Xia realized the man continued to stare at her while they spoke. Did he never blink? ask in the heart. Then he thought, his eyes looked very deep. Like tunnel. Like the tunnel that pulls you deeper, deeper.
The man looked into his eyes.
That gaze confused Xi Xia, yet strangely he felt a pleasure to be noticed like that. It felt like no one had ever noticed him the way the man looked at him.
Really looking at him.
I don't know how long he's been making rules for himself to keep trying to be invisible, hiding in his estate in the most remote corner of the Governor's Palace, he said, shriveled behind the shield of his father who has a heart like iron?
Wh why?
All of this just because of shame?
It felt as if the gaze containing the magnet was able to pierce through the deepest corners of her, and find the parts of her that she did not need to consider shameful—ah, but her exaggerated reaction was truly strange!
The man didn't even know her, and vice versa.
Xi Xia shrugged his fragile shoulders and leaned back slightly on the staircase behind him, swinging the dangling fan tied from his wrist. "Do you have a name?"
"I have many names," the man replied without taking his eyes off Xi Xia's eyes.
Xi Xia bit his lips withstanding a smile. "How do I call you?"
"How did you call me?" the man asked back.
Xi Xia instantly fell silent. Next to her slender eyebrows raised high.
Call her? xi Xia was surprised. Suddenly remembered his request.
Mi Sai Yes!
"You're Mi Sai Ya?" peek Xi Xia gasped. Instantly the feathers bristled.
The wind suddenly gushed violently when he mentioned his name, as if responding to Xi Xia's doubts.
This can't be happening! xi Xia was unsure.
"Xi Xia!" The sound of someone interrupting them from somewhere in the park.
Awareness buzzed in Xi Xia's head. Jolted at the consciousness, the girl turned her head towards the source of the voice.
"There you look!" And Shin Wu appeared. "Have you met?"
Xi Xia looked at the man in front of him. The man looked back at him.
"You ruined the surprise," Shin Wu grumbled as he ruffled his waist.
Coinciding with that, a brewmaster suddenly shouted riled while running in a hurry to get to him, followed by two maids.
"Master! Something is bad!" The brewmaster bowed towards Shin Wu.
Shin Wu turned to the brewmaster with eyes splashed. "Say!"
The brewmaster drew closer to Shin Wu and whispered behind his shoulder.
Shin Wu groaned and twirled his eyeballs with a look of disgust, "Since when has a matter like this been my business?" his gerut is impatient.
Shin Wu gave a rough sigh, then glanced towards Xi Xia with a concerned look on his face.
"What's going on?" xi Xia asked worriedly. "Why is his face like that?"
Hearing Xi Xia's voice, the brewmaster was startled and bowed towards the girl. "You're here too" he said. "It just so happens to be—"
Shin Wu suddenly snatched the drinker's shoulder and hissed near the man's ear. "Don't burden him with any problems. All right, I'll take care of it."
The brewer fell silent, not continuing his words. Then bow once more.
"What's going on?" Xi Xia approached, looking at the brewer with a demanding gaze.
"Nothing!" Shin Wu took over the answer, "Just, you shouldn't have left the banquet," he reasoned.
"I'm looking for you everywhere" Xi Xia quibbled with a sullen face.
"All right, you've found me now. Go back to the banquet!" said Shin Wu.
"I don't want to!" refute Xi Xia half sulked.
Shin Wu sent out a pleading gesture to Hua Zu.
Hua Zu walked up to him slowly, then bowed, listening to the commander whispering in his ear.
"They're out of wine" Shin Wu told.
Hua Zu let out a short sigh. "You know I didn't come for this?"
Shin Wu instantly fell silent. The look on his face turned grim, then glanced at Xi Xia once more with a sad look. Unable to see his half-sister get into trouble, Shin Wu did not want to give up. He shook his head at a glance and then approached the brewer, "Follow what he said" he whispered as he glanced towards Hua Zu over his shoulder.
"Good, Master!" the brewmaster said to Shin Wu, then turned to Hua Zu as he waved his hand, "Come, Master! Over here," he said hinting at an urgent call.
Hua Zu shook his head thinly and glanced towards Shin Wu. Then he was forced to follow the drinker.
Shin Wu held back his smile.
Xi Xia observed the two with a frown.
Shin Wu turned to him with a smile, then shook his head slightly, offering his arm to hold Xi Xia to the banquet hall.
Xi Xia clenched her brother's arm and walked towards the hall, but her gaze could not turn away from Hua Zu.
In order to avoid the attention of the guests, Shin Wu led Xi Xia to another entrance that did not go directly into the hall, they slipped through the kitchen door, and, not far from the wine cellar while occasionally glancing at Hua Zu.
The man had already reached the front door of the wine cellar and stopped with both hands linked behind his body.
Xi Xia halted his steps, released his grasp from Shin Wu's arm and approached towards Hua Zu. Curious.
"Fill all those wine jars with water!" hua Zu's orders to the male servants who were in the wine cellar.
For a moment, the servants looked doubtful and exchanged glances with their eyebrows.
"Do what he says!" order the drinker with a hand gesture until they are forced to obey.
Xi Xia and Shin Wu exchanged looks. Then waiting. Can't wait to see what Mi Sai Ya will do.
"Already, Master!" the servants told Hua Zu a moment later.
But Hua Zu simply turned around and passed away.
The servants exchanged looks with puzzled expressions, then glanced at the brewmaster with a questioning gesture.
Justjust like? thought they were surprised.
The brewmaster simultaneously rushed after Hua Zu, "Master!"
Hua Zu stopped and turned a little.
"Now what should we do?" asked the drinker hesitating.
"What should a drinker do?" Hua Zu asked back. "Your wine cellars are full, right?"
