Absolute Double Power

Absolute Double Power
Verse-25

Old Town, Zhujia…

In the middle of an artistic old town, a sweet fragrance emanating from a most famous bingcheng shop in Zhujia burst into flames as Consort Yuwen's horse carriage passed by the legendary shop.

Baixue Bingcheng's shop is famous as a cause of misery for women who are dieting.

It was very difficult to cross in front of Baixue without being tempted to enter, especially after a long journey that took hours on a hot day.

Tastefully Xi Xia turned to the bustling shop and was instantly drunk by the thick scent of vanilla and cinnamon floating in the air.

Unfortunately, that's not their purpose.

According to the information obtained by the two servants of Consort Yuwen, Sang Mi Sai Ya would appear in the Great Spirit God Temple on every Xianqiwu day.

So that's where they're going now.

Realizing that the horse carriage was slowing down, Xi Xia turned his head towards the road and saw the intersection that was at fifty meters ahead there was jammed by the rows of horse carriages that were forced to stop.

The vehicle flow there stopped altogether. They're trying to figure out what's going on.

Xi Xia shook his head in concern. "I hope no accident happens."

"Well, unsurprisingly, given the way some young aristocratic bastards rode their expensive carriage," Consort Yuwen denied. "The crown princes in this city are famous for being messy and reckless, speeding around like crazy just to find things. One of them might hit someone or just be oppressing a commoner, what a shame."

Xi Xia listened to his stepmother with a gloomy look. Face stiffened. His heart beat quickly as their horse carriage started moving back the next moment, as the arrogant Luoji people did not want to be inhibited by a traffic accident, especially if the victim was a Yuoji.

If someone was run over or bullied by the crown princes, Xi Xia wasn't sure if he wanted to see them. The bloody scene usually made the girl nauseous. But on the one hand, he really wanted to see what the actions of the crown princes who are famous for being messy and reckless.

Back to walking forward, even if only a step snail, the horse-drawn carriages in front of them just swerved around the stopped vehicle. Because of the uproar that is happening now began to become clear an overloaded carriage with red wheels and piles of goods and passengers who shouted on it.

The angry passengers held out their heads from the window while impatiently nagging at their coachman.

"Let's go!"

"Make your old horse move!"

Xi Xia's eyes widened when he found a middle-aged man in black robed Yuoji with a head covering standing near one of the horses of the carriage.

A thin and weak reddish-brown horse was in a miserable condition - wounded or sick, which was obviously not in a proper state for his usual duty.

Trapped helplessly in his saddle, with trembling and wide-eyed, the horse shivered in fear near the middle-aged man as if it could sense that in the end there was someone kind-hearted coming to save him.

The horse's red coat was drenched in sweat, while its back was bleeding from the rough lash he got from the coachman's whip.

"Keep out of there!" The big and sturdy coachman shouted at the middle-aged man from above his place.

When the middle-aged man turned to the coachman, the face of the coachman looked very angry.

The middle-aged man stabbed the coachman with a threatening look and pointed his finger at his face, "If you whip this animal once again I'll show you what it's like to be beaten."

"Don't you threaten me! Get off my horse!"

"I'll take it off the saddle. This horse can't travel today."

"Fuck you! You think you can take my horse? I'll see you hanged for horse theft!"

Traffic slowed down again as the audience became interested in the dispute.

Pedestrians gather around the intersection to witness the ongoing events.

Concubine driver Yuwen pulled their horse carriage across the street to give way to several horse carriages behind them.

"Then I will buy this horse from you" the middle-aged man told the coachman.

The middle-aged man had taken on a dangerous tone of voice that Xi Xia had never heard before.

"He's not for sale! I'm warning you, get out of my way!" The coachman pointed his thumb past the shoulder furiously at his passengers who kept complaining. "I have a schedule to follow!"

"Well, what a pity! Looks like you're going to be late," replied the middle-aged man, calmly grabbing the leather straps on the horse's back to free him.

"Damn you!" shouted the coachman.

Xi Xia sighed in fear as the coachman pulled his whip again, but the middle-aged man immediately reached into the hand of the coachman clad in leather gloves and snatched his whip. With a very strong jolt, he pulled the coachman out of the driver's box.

Then the middle-aged man walked towards the coachman as he fell on a pile near the front wheel of his carriage.

In an instant, the skinny coachman and the message courier jumped down from their seats at the top of the horse carriage and ran towards the middle-aged man while cursing.

The entire intersection turned into chaos like a crowd of people in the fighting arena, they watched in seriousness while the middle-aged man turned his head towards them in a nonchalant manner.

Two armed guards were stationed to protect the papers on board the carriage, and fortunately the bodyguards still had the good sense not to blow the tip of his spear towards the middle-aged man in front of many people. Instead, the bodyguard simply used his spear handle as a bat and swung it at the middle-aged man's head.

The middle-aged man endured the attack with his left hand, and tore down the burly courier with a hard fist from his right hand, then lunged towards the skinny coachman.

The skinny coachman retreated slowly, yet still looked disinclined to run away like a coward in front of so many spectators.

Now the skinny coachman was swinging next to his foot, trying to kick the middle-aged man's knee.

The middle-aged man snorted mockingly at him, caught the heel of the skinny horseman and jerked him.
