CHAPTER 23. MEET

“Yes, grandma is bored waiting for you so grandma knit and finish one bag for you.” Mariam Arsenio said with a smile. The two women of different generations were sitting side by side on the sofa. They talked for a moment about many things. Anneke continued to notice the expression on her grandmother's happy-looking face.

‘Do I have to tell him now? Grandma looks so happy. How can I break her mood that is happy with the news of my divorce?’ whispered Anneke's heart. ‘But I can't hide this much longer. Grandma must understand why I'm divorced with Noah.’

“Keke....are you okay? Let's tell grandma that you have a problem.” said Mariam Arsenio suddenly when she saw the look on Anneke's face that looked tense.

“Heh. I don't know how to say it.” said Anneke misbehaved.

“Why? Do you need money? Or is there a problem?” ask the old lady.

Anneke just smiled looking at her grandmother-in-law. “Ehem...nek, if I make a mistake. Will grandma forgive me?” his facial expression looked serious as he spoke.

“Keke....why do you talk like that? Of course I'll forgive you. What have you done, Hem? Same story grandma.”

“How about we eat first. Grandma hasn't eaten, has she? After that we just talk again, it feels more fun if we talk after grandmother eats.” said Anneke switched the conversation.

“Ah is right too. We still have a lot of time together today. Come...ayo....” Mariam got up from her seat and took Anneke to the dining room.

“Keke...do you like sweet acids?” the big madam seemed to be pointing towards the plate filled with the red-sauce shrimp. “This is specially cooked for you.”

“Of course I like grandma.” replied Anneke continued to eat all the food taken by her grandmother-in-law. She eagerly ate it because it was all her favorite food.

For a long time he did not eat his favorite dishes, usually every time he came there the grandmother would prepare for him.

Meanwhile, Noah has just received a report from the bodyguard at his grandmother's house that Anneke is there right now. She also just found out how familiar her grandmother is with Anneke. What surprised her was that during these two years Anneke often visited her grandmother. Was he the only one who didn't know anything about Anneke during these two years? Did Anneke just play herself this whole time?

Has the relationship between grandma and Anneke been that good? Did Anneke really dislike the arranged marriage? Is there really another guy she likes? Thinking of the possibility of Anneke liking another man, it instantly made a hot flame gush out within her chest that field.

But who would have thought that Anneke and the Big Lady had the same personality! They love to cook, sometimes they knit together, garden plant roses together, even like stalking Noah Arsenio! Isn't her grandmother and grand daughter-in-law really a good match? So whatever Anneke did was always supported by her grandmother-in-law.

But unfortunately, the Great Mistress never knew if Anneke was after Noah because for two years of marriage they had never met! When the first Lady ever caught Anneke sneaking around wearing weird costumes, makeup and wigs. But at that time he thought maybe Anneke was just in disguise!

She let alone what Anneke did as long as her daughter-in-law's granddaughter was happy. So even the Great Mistress let him go and never asked. Didn't she used to be with her husband, and she did the same thing as Anneke? That's what happens when you have a handsome and rich husband.

The wives would stalk her husband secretly to find out what their husbands were doing! Seeing the familiarity of the two different generations of friends, Noah cleared his throat to show his presence there. But his efforts were just a waste. Currently Noah was completely ignored by the two women who usually chased after him!

Noah lowered his face while thinking, what is so attractive about Anneke that grandma loves him so much? Really, he did not know whether he should be happy or sad about a situation like this? Moreover, his grandmother and grandfather used to often say how beautiful Anneke. But what he saw was very different! The woman was not beautiful and disgusting in Noah's eyes.

Because of his curiosity Noah decided to go to his grandmother's house. Arriving there he heard laughter coming from the dining room as Noah set foot in the house. He stepped into the dining room and saw his grandmother and wife eating with a laugh. Noah approaches, but the two women seem to care less.

After some time, the two women conversed and finally the Big Madam realized that someone was there. He looked at Noah who was sitting across from him.

“Aihhh…..Noah! You came too huh? Oh, grandma thought there was no one else.” The Great Mistress only turned her head for a moment to greet her mischievous granddaughter and then ate dessert.

Am I not considered by Grandma? Grandma just ignored me? What the fuck? Grandma really ignored me? Hmh! Unfortunately Noah saw the woman who did not care about him. In the luxurious dining room it is seen on the dining table has been presented a variety of tempting foods. A variety of seafood, meat, fresh vegetables, everything cooked according to Anneke's favorite!

For a moment Noah frowned, all the food there was nothing cooked to his taste! What else is this? Noah is one of the people with a picky type of food with a strict diet. All foods consumed must be eaten with a certain level of maturity. It should be lightly scented and certainly does not contain a lot of oil. Noah avoided consuming fatty foods.

But at the moment all the food there looks bright red, looks very spicy! He could smell the strong scent and was very smelling. He scrunched his forehead when he saw greasy sambal between various dishes there. There is also a vegetable lodeh with coconut milk that is very liked by Anneke!  There is balado beef jerky and red seafood dishes which are all favorite foods of Anneke.

Mariam Arsenio accidentally asked the waiter to cook all her favorite food to avenge her granddaughter. All of those foods weren't Noah's favorite! The old woman also did not speak as if there was no one else in the room. Noah didn't even know what his grandmother was thinking. The old woman seemed quieter than usual and it made Noah anxious.

‘Did grandma know something? Did that crazy woman say something to grandma?’ murmured heart.
