CHAPTER 8. SECOND CHANCE

In the other hemisphere, a twenty-seven-year-old man was standing looking at the blue sky at the top of the tallest building in the city. His sharp eyes looked so domineering. The beautiful and beautiful atmosphere and his firm face line can make any woman crazy about him. That man is very handsome and charming.

There is no interest in the woman who has become his wife. Noah is currently close to Shelly who is his company's Brand Ambassaor. Shelly is a beautiful woman who is a famous model and also a top actress.

His closeness with Noah made his career skyrocketed in the entertainment world. But rumors swirled that Shelly was one of the many women close to Noah.

The sound of a knock on the door of the room instantly scattered Noah's daydream. “Log in!” his orders with a baritone voice were followed by the presence of a personal assistant who brought him a file. The man only took a quick glance at the file that his assistant had brought him.

“Mr Noah, the file you requested is ready. Lawyer Juan will directly submit a letter and divorce compensation agreement to Young Madam.” said the assistant before returning to correct his remarks. “Sorry Sir I mean Miss Anneke.” the assistant said as she handed the envelope before her CEO.

“Good. Get everything done immediately. No more delays! Do whatever it takes to get that stupid woman to sign the divorce papers.” Noah looked very cold and did not want to see the contents inside the file. Whatever he would give as long as that stupid, silly, crazy woman was willing to divorce him! Yeah, she really hates Anneke, the girl she thinks ruined her life.

“Oh yes Sir, there is one more thing I want to convey.” said his assistant named Levi again.

“Tell me.” Noah looked intently at his assistant and told him to speak immediately.

“Next week there will be a large meeting of shareholders in the company . Are you going home?” the assistant then explained in detail the current situation of the company.

“Hem...set my return tomorrow.” Noah's orders again.

“Good Mr Noah.”

Levi who felt the cold aura of his big boss as if piercing up to his bones, made Levi's assistant shudder in horror and could not bear to linger any longer there. He finally left the room and breathed a sigh of relief after being outside the room and closed the door.

Anneke who had previously had a panic attack shortly after she woke up from her coma again with a much calmer condition. Unfortunately, his strength had not yet recovered so much that he could only lie down. After recalling all the events that had previously happened, his withered fingers began to fumble his chest. Touching the part that was stabbed by a knife.

He got a stab wound to his chest when he was in a car accident, the stab was deadly because it hit his heart. But strangely after pressing her chest a few times Anneke did not feel any pain! He scrunched his forehead feeling astonished.

“Truly does not hurt.” his inner while continuing to squeeze that area of his chest. “Kok can not hurt anyway?”

“Hah? No scar of that wooden puncture? How can?” There was only a scratch on his head due to the impact and also his appearance was very ugly.

“I.....is all this real?” Anneke muttered slowly as suddenly a middle-aged nurse entered the room to do a daily check.

“Sorry, nurse. What date is it today? What year and why am I here?” anneke asked impatiently asking the nurse who had just checked on her condition.

“Nona, are you feeling better now?” instead of answering Anneke's question, the middle-aged nurse asked. “Is anyone sick?”

“Suster, quickly answer my question!” Anneke clasped the nurse's hands together and begged to answer her question quickly. “What date is it? What year is this? What happened?” ask Anneke who can't wait for the nurse's answer.

With a little worry, the nurse replied, “Nona Anneke's date is five months five years two thousand fifteen.”

 “You have been in a coma for two weeks due to a traffic accident. And yesterday you came back to your senses so you got a panic attack and fell asleep again.” replied the nurse with a smile looking at Anneke.

“Do you feel better now? Don't think too much, you've just come to your senses from the coma should rest.” he added.

Anneke was silent at the middle-aged nurse's words. He tried to remember but his head suddenly hurt. The pain made Anneke hold her head while grimacing.

“Ahhhkkkk...my head hurts so much, sister.” the pain in her head made her close her eyes. ‘What's wrong with me? Why does my head hurt and go around in circles?’

“Let me help lay down. Don't be too forced to remember. Calm yourself first.”

The middle-aged nurse felt sorry to see the girl alone, no one even visited her when she was in a coma. “Oh, I understand. Thank you.” said Anneke smiled faintly. After the nurse left her room Anneke immediately smiled broadly featuring her neatly lined rows of white teeth.

Yes really! In his past life he had a severe accident, and this is where he was treated. Everything that was there really looked exactly the same as back then, even the nurse! What was different was only him who had known his future. He knew everything and strangely his memory was so vivid now.

She came back to life and retired eight years ago, when she also had an accident right on her second wedding day. Time has spun back eight years earlier, precisely in the second year of her marriage to Noah Killian! That made him very happy. 

“Hahahaha...” her sweet smile turned into a loud laugh as if she had just watched a comedy drama. But this time he laughed at himself which had been a joke in his previous life.

“This is so much fun! I'm coming back to life! Ha ha ha ha ha ha.. I think reincarnation is only in the novel story.” Anneke laughed out loud.

He did not expect that the sky would grant his wish to pass through time and go back to the previous eight years and start everything from scratch. If only Anneke could choose then she wanted time to turn around before she got married. So that he did not have to deal with the ice man who had broken his heart for ten years in his previous life.

However, it did not matter if this second chance remained a blessing from the heavens that he would be grateful for until he died. This time he promised himself to live happily and avenge all his grudges. With a heightened sense of happiness and a heart full of relief, Anneke again laid down her still-weak body.

Anneke groped her arm and wondered why the nurse would not clean it? Is it because he wears a body painting that is too thick so that no nurse would clean it out of disgust? Anneke let out a long sigh and was reluctant to look at her dreadful face.

“Ck! No problem, I can clean myself. Ahhh..this is so much fun! I'm coming back to life and now I'm going to live happily!”
