CHAPTER 49. SHE'S STILL MY WIFE

Marisa, who was already upset with her daughter, glared at Kaylee and whispered, “ lest you be patient for a bit, and not act stupid! You can also have a company like Anneke! You stupid kid! You should've used Anneke's money to grow the business instead of his foya-foya! And now you're missing all your chances.”

“Bu, don't scold me! It's also mom's fault! Why can't you use your grandfather's money and set up your own company long ago? Mother is also her son grandfather, mother is entitled to get some of the wealth of the Runako Family!” reply Kaylee who did not accept angry at his mother.

“Did you forget that your mother was just a foster child? You didn't even help me make your grandfather and uncle love you and trust you!”

“Look now Anneke has his own company! Noah is with him! Do you think Noah's not gonna help her, huh? Aihhhh I don't know what my sins are so I have a stupid child like you.” complained Marisa again. Actually in his heart he was very angry, he got information from his hired man that Liam and Alfred invested funds in Anneke's new company.

Doesn't that mean Marisa won't be able to gain much more wealth? If only he had kept his plan? Even Kaylee had almost ruined everything, how could she make Liam and Alfred believe her? Over the years Marisa worked hard to build the trust of the Runako Family but Kaylee's actions made everything messy.

Marisa was unable to sit quietly there but she tried to act as usual and wait until the event was over. He didn't even listen to what Noah said. While Kaylee was burning with jealousy and envy seeing Noah standing while hugging Anneke's waist. ‘I should be on Noah's side, not Anneke!’ snarl.

The inauguration ceremony was completed and continued with the next event. Invitational guests enter an art gallery displaying some of Anneke's paintings and sculpture. While Noah had already pulled Anneke, but he stopped Grandpa Liam and Grandma Mariam.

“Where did you take my grandson?” liam looked at Noah.

“Grandfather, I want to talk to my wife for a minute! There is something important!” answer Noah.

“Wife you say? Did you forget you were divorced?” liam said again.

“Noah, get out of here! Don't embarrass the Arsenio family! You divorced Anneke yourself, did you forget?” mariam Arsenio said to her granddaughter. Though in her heart she still wishes her granddaughter and Anneke could still maintain their marriage.

“Grandfather, Grandma, I'm sorry. Maybe you guys misunderstood me, I never divorced Anneke!”

“What?” Liam and Mariam were shocked and looked at each other in disbelief. “I received the divorce papers at home and your own lawyer took care of everything.” Mariam said again.

“Ya was the lawyer who took care of it but I never signed it. Anneke is still my legal wife, whether you like it or not!”

As soon as Noah finished talking, he pulled Anneke into the elevator. Leaving behind Liam and Mariam who stood glared. “What's up? Why are you two here? Where are Noah and Anneke?” alfred asked who was looking for his daughter.

“Alfred! We'd better sit down first. Later we will talk about this issue.” Liam said to his son.

“Dad, what's the matter exactly? Guests ask Anneke, where did she go?”

“Noah is with her.” replied Mariam smiling happily in her heart.

“What does Noah mean by saying that in front of all the guests? He can't behave as he pleases to play with my daughter! He divorced her and now he's announcing that Anneke is his wife? I'll look for him and ask for an explanation from him.” Alfred was about to step but---

“Noah says they are not divorced.” Liam said.

“What? Dad, what's this game? Two years, he was wasting my daughter and he was always asking for a divorce until Anneke finally agreed. Now she says they're not divorced?”

Alfred was really upset and could not believe what he was hearing. Although he knew how powerful the Arsenio family was. It was certain Noah did something or perhaps annul the divorce.

Meanwhile, in Anneke's study, Noah closes the door and locks it and supports Anneke with both hands on the wall. Anneke pushes Noah's body but the man stresses her tight until Anneke is wedged against the wall. His roaring breath withstood the frustration at Noah's behavior before the invited guests.

“Noah! Get away from me!” Anneke pushed back the burly body but failed.

“If I don't want to? What are you gonna do, hem?”

“Why are you bothering me? We're divorced and you better stop!” Anneke.

“Yes, I admit that I'm a bully! But it was then!” Anneke glared at Noah sharply.

“Now is still a bully!” sahut Noah smiled looking at the beautiful face in front of him.

“Exit!” Anneke pushed Noah back!

“Didn't you always want to be close to me, my wife?” god Noah blinked his eyes.

“Wife? Heh! We are divorced!” drugged Anneke annoyed.

“In your dreams! You're still my legal wife!”

“I've divorced you---” Anneke has not finished her sentence but her mouth has been silenced by Noah. “Hmmmpppp.

Noah kissed her passionately just like Anneke was ugly. She hugged Anneke tightly with one hand and the other hand held the back of the head.

After smelling Anneke's lips until swollen then Noah let go and touched the red lips with his fingers. “Manic!” said it.

“Noah! Goddamn bum! Dare-----”

“You dare to abuse me? Looks like I should shut you up.”

“Ahhhhkkk.....Noah stop! I'll scream!”

“Scream if you are not ashamed! Do you want people down there to come in here and see you without clothes, hem?” noah's hand was about to pull out Anneke's dress to scare the woman.

But she stopped him when she saw that Anneke's two watery eyes were about to cry. She panicked and hugged him while stroking his hair.

“Ssttt.....don't cry! I'm just teasing you! Already yes, I will not do that.”

Anneke who heard Noah speak softly was stunned in the man's arms. But he immediately regained his senses when suddenly the door opened violently and Shelly's figure stood there staring intently at Anneke.

“Noah! What the fuck?” Shelly rushed over to pull Noah's arm around Anneke, but the man pushed her hard.

“What are you doing here?” asked Noah in an unhappy tone.

“I'm looking for you! Let go of that woman Noah! Why are you hugging him?”

“It was wrong? She's still my wife! Go then! Don't bother us!” Noah moves his hand to drive Shelly away.

“Ap-what did you say? You divorced him Noah! Only I love you sincerely! Have you forgotten our relationship all along?” shelly said emotionally and held back her cries.

“Connect? What relationship do we have? Know where you are Shelly!” noah was angry.

“For these two years we were together, I was always with you! I'm with you Noah!”

“Our relationship is just business! You're my company's Brand Ambassador and your father's my business partner. No more than that! Remember Shelly! I never even touched you! You're the one who always teases me and gives yourself to me!” noah said harshly and with a sharp look. “Go! Don't make my wife feel uncomfortable!”
