CHAPTER 7. PASS THE TIME

“Papa who planned everything from the beginning. Papa's looking for a hired man to finish off the woman. Well, my job was just to call Anneke and ask her to pick me up. On the grounds that my car broke down and I was being chased by people. Uh, apparently he just believed. If you are stupid, you are still stupid! Look at how easily he got into our trap.”

“Well, when I arrived at the crash site I saw he was still alive. He was still breathing even though the wooden rod pierced through the windshield of the car and pierced into his chest. He looked at me for help. He is really strong, even though he is already in a state of severe injury though.”, Kaylee added.

Marisa is gaping to hear her daughter's explanation. “Then, what happened after?”

“She asked for help but I thrust the wood deeper into her chest until she died.” Kaylee said without the slightest feeling of guilt.

“Yes I killed him with my own hands.”

“You sure no one else saw you do that?” marisa asked in a soft voice.

“No Ma! I did it immediately and called the police so no one would suspect me. And I waited there until the ambulance came.”

“Good! Nice work! Now it's best to get people to finish the administration here. Call the nurse to take care of the body. We better get out of here. Mama did not feel at home for long here.”

“Wait a minute Ma. I want to say goodbye to my cousin.” Kaylee said and walked over to Anneke's stiff body. She smiled with satisfaction and without them noticing Anneke heard everything despite not being able to open her eyes. “Goodbye my dear cousin! Calm down there. I'll replace you to look after Noah!”

‘Your bastards! You're killers!” yelled Anneke who could not be heard by anyone. Suddenly a white light filled the room. And as if Anneke's soul was being pulled from her body, she screamed and thrashed in fear.

“No! Nah! I don't want to die yet! Pleaseggg Anneke was taken into a vortex that made her lose consciousness.

Slowly he felt calm and opened his eyes, while gnashing his forehead feeling that he was in a place that was familiar to him. Yeah, it was the civil records department when she registered her marriage.

But that day he only came alone because Noah was only represented by his assistant. Anneke's tears trickled down to her own smiling self receiving a marriage certificate.

“Stupid! Really stupid! I defied papa and decided to marry that jerk. Wasting my youth just chasing him everywhere.” his sobbing is heartbreaking. He was shown his life one by one as if he was watching a movie. Suddenly his body was violently jolted and carried elsewhere.

She was in S City with such a ugly look was chasing after her husband. Anneke saw how Noah ordered his guards to drive him away and drag him down the street. With a tightness in her chest, Anneke touched her chest to soothe the pain. “Generate once. Why am I so stupid?” muttered.

“Hyaaaa....” she flinched as a force pulled her body away and took her back to the time she saw her own funeral. Anneke was about to touch the crying shoulders of her father and grandfather while sprinkling flowers on her grave.

Anneke shouted, “Papa! I'm not dead, papa! It's me Anneke is here papa!”

Anneke stood in front of her father and grandfather but neither responded. He looked at his grave and saw his name there. “No.....no...this is impossible! I'm not dead yet. Why am I here?” yelled Anneke sobbing. He saw everyone at his funeral. Including his aunt and his evil cousin. 

DUOARRR! DUUAARRRR

The sound of lightning striking and heavy rain falling instantly made the people who were in the cemetery immediately run for cover. The sky that was bright now turned dark with heavy rain and lightning that struck. The sudden atmosphere was quite stressful.

“Why is it suddenly raining? It's really strange.” said Kaylee who was in the car with her mother and father. Kaylee stared at Anneke's grave from a distance.

‘Goodbye my cousin! May you rest in peace and never appear again in the life to come.’ he murmured inwardly.

“It's best we go straight home. Quickly run the car.” said Jose Akasha to the driver who immediately started the car.

“Do we go straight home or to my papa residence?” ask Marisa.

“Tomorrow we will go there, see the rain is getting heavier and the road must be jammed.” replied Jose.

At the same time…….

Tit...tit...tit...the sound of the monitor machine shows the faintly audible heart rate filled the white room. There on the hospital bed lay a young twenty-two-year-old woman who looked pale.

The young woman was seen lying weakly in her bed like a corpse because there was no movement at all. He was lying there with no one waiting for him.

The cold air coming out of the air conditioner feels piercing the skin accompanied by a strong disinfectant aroma as if disturbing the comfort of women who have been lying there for a long time in a coma after an accident hit him. Slowly his two eyes were decorated with long, pliable hair that began to open.

The eye featured a pair of pretty eyeballs that seemed to be adapting to the bright light that dazzled both eyes. For a few seconds, Anneke tried to observe the atmosphere in the room that seemed familiar to him. His thick eyebrows frowned after his nose smelled a very strong disinfectant smell throughout the room.

“Ah! Where am I?” his body trembled violently, one hand holding his head which was very painful and his heartbeat was racing very fast. Behind the panic, suddenly a memory that was initially faint but slowly began to clear. The memory at the time she was rejected by her own husband Noah Killian Arsenio. 

He recalls the time he wasted his entire life and the memories of the time he was tricked and stabbed with a knife by his evil cousin Kaylee Claretta. All those memories seemed to have just happened and still felt fresh in his memory. His head ached again as all those memories emerged after he regained consciousness from the coma.

Tit....tit...tit....the heart monitor sounds louder and louder followed by the sound of an open door followed by the sound of a doctor's steps followed by a nurse who immediately gave him a sedative injection to save him. After that slowly his consciousness disappeared again and he faintly heard a voice calling out to him.

“Nona….Miss....did you hear me?” Anneke could still hear the voice of a nurse who called out to her before her entire consciousness disappeared again and her eyes were tightly shut.
