CHAPTER 4. WHO DID?

“Who sent the photos to my grandmother? Did you track the number?” ask Noah.

“Not Lord. It looks like the number is a disposable number and it was discarded the card once it finished sending the message.” replied Hector the head of his grandmother's bodyguard.

“Investigate continue! Find the culprit and bring it before me!” noah's orders.

“Good Sir!”

Levi, who was at Noah's door, stopped when he learned that his boss was talking to Hector. After he saw Noah looking over and looking at him, Levi stepped in and placed the document file on Noah's desk.

“Master, this is the data I managed to get from our people in the field.”

“What's the result?”

“The lady did leave the country in a chartered car. That's why we couldn't track him all this time. He also did not stay at the hotel but instead rented a caravan and drove it from one city to another. Someone saw him at a restaurant and sent me his picture. But after the men in the field checked there, the Madam has disappeared.”

Levi explained everything to Noah. It looks like Anneke has indeed deliberately disappeared and cannot be contacted. Moreover, he left S country the same night after the incident at the restaurant. Noah's mind was increasingly raging and full of hatred for the woman he had been married for ten years.

“Stop looking for it! Better he disappear forever. Once the divorce papers are finished immediately send it to him.” said Noah who was a little calmer than before.

“Levi! Send people to the apartment and dispose of all the belongings of the crazy woman.” her orders again. I don't know why Noah hated Anneke so much.

But his grandparents loved the woman so much that they betrothed her. At that time Noah was forced to accept an arranged marriage because of the condition of his grandfather who was critical in the hospital.

A week after they got married, his grandfather passed away. Noah returns home to attend her grandfather's funeral but does not see Anneke.

Until now he had never met Anneke, not once! He had seen Anneke from a distance when the woman came to his office. Seeing her ugly face and dark skin made Noah feel disgusted. Not only that, Anneke who always called him made Noah even more hate him until he blocked Anneke's number.

He even asked his assistant to block Anneke's number and delete it. Since then Anneke has never spoken to Noah. Didn't they never talk all this time? Noah thought of everything that had happened during these ten years, even though he and Anneke had been married yet they had never met.

They also never talk, first they get married when Anneke needs something from Noah then he will contact Levi. But it was only a few times because after Anneke was no longer able to contact her husband's assistant. Noah recalled how the crazy woman who had become his wife always followed him everywhere.

Anneke even traveled abroad to look for her despite never meeting her. Noah's bodyguards would always drive him out rudely, all at the man's behest. She did not want to see Anneke, however, the marriage was not her will but the wishes of her grandparents. And he has fulfilled their wishes.

Noah never promised to be serious about the marriage. He let out a long sigh as the lawyer entered his study in the afternoon and handed over the divorce papers that had been completed in the process.

Noah looked at the divorce papers with relief, his grandmother was gone and that meant he no longer had to continue this marriage. Moreover, that crazy woman had never appeared to this day and it made Noah even more upset and resentful of Anneke.

“Have you sent her divorce papers?” ask Noah to Juan the lawyer.

“Already, Sir. I have sent it to the apartment so when Madam...ehem...I mean Miss Anneke came home later she will definitely see her divorce papers.” replied Juan.

“Good! Send the compensation money to his account! And remember, no one knows about any of this. So far no one knows I'm married, and vice versa.”

“Good Sir. I guarantee everything is safe and unknown to anyone.” replied Juan again. “If there is nothing else, I say retreat first.”

“Ehmmm Noah simply replied with a nod of his head. Then she glanced at her divorce papers and kept them in her desk drawer.

Noah stared at the screen of his phone, saw the name Shelly that appeared and he immediately answered.

“Halo.”

“Noah, I just arrived and now it's in the airport. Can you get someone to pick me up and drive me to the hotel?” ask Shelly in a soft voice.

“Can't now. If you rush to take a taxi later I will see you tomorrow at the office now I have to finish the important work.” said Noah flat and cold as usual.

Shelly came to the country for a photo shoot at Noah's company. She is a brand ambassador for one of Noah's overseas companies.

“Noah. I don't know anyone in this city.” Shelly said in a spoiled voice.

“Everyone is busy after my grandmother's funeral. No one here right now can pick you up at the airport. If you don't want to take a taxi already! You walk.”

Noah immediately turned off his phone and placed the phone on the desk. Since his grandmother's departure Noah's mind has been increasingly chaotic. On the one hand, he was happy to be free from a marriage he never wanted.

Ten years tied up in an obscure marriage and now it's all over. She should have been relieved but instead, Noah felt angry! Yes very angry because Anneke who is always proud of her grandmother all this time was not worth to be proud of.

I don't know where the woman went until now can't be contacted and no one knows where the woman is.

Noah got up and walked out of his study. He stood looking towards the quiet middle room. Usually his grandmother would sit there while knitting, but now the figure is no longer here.

His head was dizzy and his sadness at the loss of his only family member made Noah decide to leave.

By driving his car he went to one of the most famous nightclubs in the city. He was directly directed by the club manager to one of the VIP rooms.

Before long some girls entered while carrying trolleys containing expensive alcohol drinks. Two girls sat down next to Noah and poured drinks into his glass.

“Hahahaha....finally the old woman died too! How are Anneke and Mr Noah doing now? Are they divorced?” said a beautiful woman who laughed satisfied because now her hope can be achieved.

“I can easily get close to Noah now. The old woman is no longer there to hinder me.”

Tok tok! There was a knock on the door of his room. He reluctantly stepped in to open the door. It looked the face of a middle-aged woman who was staring at him while gnashing her forehead. “What are you doing? Can you relax like this?” said the woman.

“Ma, I'm celebrating the moments of my life that will soon change.”

“What do you mean?”

“Didn't that old woman no longer exist? It means no one else can forbid and challenge me to get close to Noah. Now I can get it easily.”
