"What's going on?" miho muttered as she looked at her burned-out house when she and Yujiro got there.
"Who did this?" Miho wondered to herself. He went into his ruined house, burned to the ground until there was nothing left.
The house that became a memory between him and Toru is now gone, can not be lived anymore. Miho was sitting there limp, thinking about some of his father's relics that had become ashes and charred.
"Miho," call Yujiro who helps Miho to stand up. He lifts his body easily while Miho is still visibly shocked by his house being burned by irresponsible people.
Yujiro takes Miho away from the house. He carried her up near the river. There Yujiro helps Miho clean his blackened hand holding some of the charred stuff.
"Yujiro, our home." Miho cried. "How is this?"
Yujiro dries Miho's clean hands. His heart also felt angry when their house was burned just like a threat to him and Miho.
Srakk!
The voice made Yujiro look out for protecting Miho behind him. There was a step closer, until Yujiro found a black dog leaping towards him.
Yujiro immediately used his hand to claw the black dog until it was thrown and injured. Trouble didn't get there. Yujiro's eyes caught the shadow that was getting closer towards them.
The wings on Yujiro's back appeared again. He pulls Miho into a hug and flies off quickly to avoid the person Yujiro thought was dangerous and threatened him earlier.
They also landed near the cliff. Yujiro lowered Miho's body carefully.
"Who was that? Is he the one who's going after you?" miho muttered thought hard.
Yujiro also felt the same way, moreover he sensed that the dog was only targeting him. Yujiro knows because he was once a dog who had to do whatever the master ordered, including biting or attacking humans.
The night is almost here.
Yujiro and Miho are forced to rest in a cave. With great difficulty, Miho created a fire from two stones that kept swiping. While Yujiro just observes it innocently because it does not understand the things that Miho is working on.
"You can bring out fire? Some kind of mouth or your hand?" tanya Miho nyengir.
Yujiro looked at his hands and held the stone without doing anything else. It makes Miho sigh tired, resigned if they spend the night without any lighting.
"We have to find another place to live tomorrow" Miho said, walking out of the cave.
Yujiro walked in from behind. They sat near the cliff looking at the darkening sky. Miho looked towards the village in front of him which started to turn on the lights in every house.
"Yujiro, you must be hungry now. Since our house doesn't exist, I can't make you dinner, '" said Miho, feeling guilty.
He should have cooked and served a lot of food and then had a meal with Yujiro.
Waitaminute!
"What burned my house... Did he find you?" thought Miho then turned to look at Yujiro who was sitting next to her.
The allegations made Miho even more worried. It's possible that the hunter knew that Yujiro was there. But since Yujiro and Miho were out at the time, the person burned down his house so that Yujiro and Miho would have no place to live anymore.
"Yujiro, if you meet someone suspicious, go. Don't mind me no matter what. You got it, right?" miho Pinta.
Yujiro just blinked looking at Miho's worried look. His body rose to lift Miho up.
"Where are you taking me?" miho asked while holding onto Yujiro's shoulder.
The man walked into the cave so dark that he had no lighting. Miho looked back and forth and all he encountered was black from the surrounding darkness.
Miho was amazed to see the horn that lit like a decorative lamp. He held out his hand to touch her..
"It's so pretty" praised Miho and then looked at Yujiro's glowing blue eyes.
To the size of the so-called terrifying monsters, Miho instead felt this was too beautiful. He had never seen a unique creature like Yujiro.
After sitting on the stone that was there while maintaining Miho on his lap, the wings on Yujiro's back also started to appear.
Miho was surprised to see the wings clenched as if they were holding both of their bodies. Now Miho who initially felt cold became quite warm especially Yujiro who started to hug her so deeply.
"You're warm" said Miho, returning Yujiro's embrace and closing her eyes to sleep.
Yujiro fell silent feeling the silence around him. He looked down to see Miho had fallen asleep in his arms so calmly.
The wings clenched even more, hugging the bodies of the two of them so that Yujiro leaned his head on the head of Miho.
They both slept with warmth.
...****************...
Both of Miho's eyes began to open slowly to adjust the lighting. He turned his head back and forth as he realized he was lying on a dry foliage so heavily stockpiled.
"Yujiro?" call Miho looking for the man.
Both of Miho's feet stepped out of the cave. The sunlight immediately warmed his body. He circulates his gaze, looking for Yujiro who is still invisible to the trunk of his nose.
Suddenly something flew from under the cliff, upwards with wings outstretched, then landed quite hard in front of Miho.
"You... What are you doing?" the shocked Miho protest.
Yujiro's wings shrank and then disappeared. He dropped some fruits in front of Miho. He saw the man knocking on the stomach three times that Miho already understood if the meaning in it was hunger.
After eating the fruits, Miho and Yujiro took the initiative to go find a place to live in the village or city. The two of them walked through the forest hand in hand.
"Why are you two in this forest?" ask an old man that Miho and Yujiro met.
"Grandfather himself... Why is it here alone?" miho asked and turned the other way to see if the old man was right to be alone or with someone else.
"I was wandering through every forest in search of blue higanbana flowers" he replied.
"Higanba? Isn't that the flower of death?" Miho recalled the incident of her father dying from the disaster or curse of the flower.
"Red higanbana is a symbol of death. The blue higanbana is a symbol of life" explained the grandfather. He turned his gaze to Yujiro, observing his two blue eyes closely.
"Your eyes are like the higanbana color," he said with his hypnotized hand about to hold Yujiro's eye.
"You traveled alone to find him?" ask Miho who managed to stop Grandpa's movement.
"I always travel alone to hunt the flower. There are various forests, mountains, even valleys through. But there's nothing I've found until I'm this old" she said.
"What are you looking for for that flower for?" ask Miho curiously.
"To live," he replied pensively. "The thing that man fears is death. They always want to live, because after they die, they can't do anything anymore. That blue flower is one of the hopes of a life that humans want, including me."
