Beautiful Monster
Happy Anniversary

The night is getting late. There was the sound of some livestock animals as if in pain and even dying while covered in blood. In the midst of the chaos, a black creature was seen in harmony with the darkness was devouring several animals there.

The noise was heard by one of the residents of the livestock owner. He brought a torch as lighting to find out what was going on.

"What's that?" his murmur approached to clarify what was seen.

When approached, the creature turned its head with a heavy growl and the corners of its lips were filled with blood. His eyes flashed blue under the moonlight, making the man sit in fear and dragging himself away from there for help.

"THERE'S MONSTERS! THERE'S MONSTERS!" his screams managed to wake the others up.

They hurriedly approached the man who led them to his cattle station to show him something. But the terrible monster suddenly disappeared, leaving only all of its dead livestock.

Miho who woke up also saw the incident. Suddenly feeling anxious, immediately thought of Yujiro who was no longer in the room.

Miho secretly went from there, crossing the bridge over the river to look for Yujiro's existence with only moonlight capital that night.

"Yujiro!" call him like a whisper so that no one else can hear him.

Miho was getting into an area filled with trees. There, he heard a small howl and groan of something that seemed to be in pain as well as sad.

Miho's feet carefully walked over to a large rock to see what was behind it.

"Yujiro?" call ascertain.

The creature slightly raised its head from the black wings it used to hide. The flaming horn and its bright blue eyes made Miho sure it was Yujiro.

"Yujiro, you need to calm down. It's me, Miho."

Miho's legs slowly approached while sticking out her hands to reach for the wings that hid the man's body.

The growls are heard. Miho paused for a moment, letting Yujiro feel less threatened by his presence. After he looked calm, only Miho came back closer.

"Yujiro, what is it. You did it?" asked Miho who managed to feel her wings.

Feels smooth and warm. The wing that Miho had made a blanket that made him sleep soundly while in the cave.

He only growled, not daring to show his face. Miho slightly lowered the wings so that part of Yujiro's face was visible. His human face is gone. Yujiro was already like a werewolf with a flaming deer horn and a winged back.

"It's okay. I won't be mad at you. I will wait for you here until you calm down," Miho said smilingly.

Those blue eyes were pointing at Miho. His wings slowly descended, revealing blood smudging the part of his mouth that was fanged like a wolf.

Miho gulped looking at the strangeness within Yujiro as if the man had almost lost his identity as a human.

What the hell's going on?

Miho had no idea about the man's current condition. He tries to shake off the fear due to Yujiro's horrifying form especially after getting the fact that the man brutally ate the cattle belonging to the citizens.

"Are you hungry? You eat all the cattle?" tanya Miho looked at him pity.

Yujiro nodded like a sad dog, as well as the look in his eyes. It coiled itself on the ground, until its wings slowly shrank.

Miho squatted observing Yujiro who started turning into a human. His pants were tattered without wearing clothes because they might have been torn when his body changed.

"We should be back soon. They will suspect us later," whispered Miho while helping Yujiro wake up.

"Miho," called Yujiro as Miho cleared him to return home.

Yujiro breaks away from Miho and sits quietly in front of him. If he is angry, then tap the cheek three times. But Yujiro instead slapped his own face hard enough in front of Miho, even more than three times.

"What are you doing?" Miho crouches down, trying to stop Yujiro from hurting himself.

Yujiro's furious.

Not angry at others, but at himself who had lost consciousness to hunt down all livestock owned by residents and make Miho worried like now.

Yujiro did not expect that he would lose consciousness, actually becoming a terrible monster that might later endanger or threaten others even Miho.

"Yujiro, look at me!" exclaimed Miho cupped the man's face to face him.

"You have to fight it. Whatever happens, you must remember that you are Ushioda Yujiro. You got it, right?"

"Where is he?" ask Grandma Kawa who sat down to get ready for breakfast.

Miho slightly turned her head, not daring to see Grandma Kawa who started asking Yujiro. He also pretended to focus on cooking in the kitchen by only returning the potluck so as not to be suspected.

"He's in the room."

"He should eat with us. Call here" he said.

Miho cleared her throat to relieve nervousness despite clearing blood stains on Yujiro's body last night. The man is now confined in the room, avoiding contact with others for fear of harm.

"About the monsters the citizens talked about last night." Grandma Kawa paused.

Miho's body suddenly froze. Will Grandma Kawa find out if last night's commotion was Yujiro's doing?

Suddenly Yujiro came out of his room and sat down in front of Grandma Kawa to prepare for breakfast together.

"I thought you were unconscious" Grandma Kawa told Yujiro, who was silent.

They also had breakfast together. Miho glanced at Yujiro and Grandma Kawa several times. Thank goodness Grandma Kawa did not suspect him because last night Miho was caught when he entered the house carrying the chaotic Yujiro. Afterwards, Grandma Kawa made no comment other than to return to her room for a rest.

"I'll give you some advice, Miho."

"Y-yes?" Miho tried to calm down while turning all her attention to Grandma Kawa.

"If you want to go outside, close your eyes with a cloth. Those blue eyes would be a problem if a lot of people knew, "he suggested.

Miho nodded nervously. He glanced at Yujiro who was just eating quietly.

"Your name is Ushioda Yujiro, right?" grandma Kawa's question made Yujiro stop the movement. He saw Grandma Kawa, putting the food back into her bowl.

"You should eat a lot" Grandma Kawa said with a slight smile before returning to the meal.

Rumors about dozens of dead livestock began to spread to several villages. They kept talking about the monsters that made everyone have to be vigilant.

"Where is the monster?" jo asked some of the people who were gossiping.

"I heard that monster is in Noda Village. He ate a lot of farm animals there" answered one of them.

Jo smiled knot. He walked back while carrying a sack containing something. His feet stepped towards Noda Village, a place where the monsters he was looking for could be found.
