News from you

Ignacia sat on her bed. In hand were still bullet points as well as reference books he had borrowed from the library this afternoon. His eyes were already tired, but he still could not finish his task before his energy was completely exhausted. This task is still a lot, Ignacia is taking care of it.

"Hoam." Several times this girl yawned. His eyes are watering. She'll be asleep soon.

Before that happened, a voice call came from his phone near the foot that he straightened forward. Looks like her mom called. Ignacia could see the faint profile that the person at the end of the call was using. Why call this late? Tomorrow, my mother has to work.

"What's up?" ignacia replied in a hoarse voice. Her throat was dry for some reason. "Why did mom call? Shouldn't my mom still be working?"

"Mama was just thinking about Mama's first child. Was wrong? Why are you not sleeping? Tomorrow is college. Are you doing your job?"

"Today afternoon my mom called. There's a lot of work, so I'm continuing it now." Once again Ignacia yawned, covering her hand with the hand that was still holding the reference book. "Mama still has plenty of time off? Usually just a little."

"Mom ate quickly and then called. How's college? How is your relationship with Rajendra? Mama did not contact him for fear of bothering him. You guys are okay, right?"

Ignacia breathed a long breath. Let go of his fatigue in one gust. "Yes, we're fine. I'm with my busyness, Rajendra with his busyness. He works part-time at his friend's family restaurant."

"Working part-time? Is that why you want to work part-time too? What to compensate Rajendra?"

Ignacia turned her eyes to the clock on the wall. "I want to be busy as well as Rajendra. I have been abandoned many times. So I want to have a job, be busy, and not so wait for Rajendra to call."

"so apparently. But if you work part-time, mom and dad are afraid your college will fall apart. Maybe not so messy because you're a kid who's good at organizing everything. We can grant your request because you are still our responsibility."

"I don't work for money. I told you the reason. Didn't mom listen?" Tiredness makes Ignacia more sensitive. "I'm tired, I want to sleep now. Tomorrow I still have to do something."

"All right then. Good night."

Call ended. Ignacia put her phone on the nightstand then tidied up all the reference books she was using. Before returning to the top of the place, Ignacia grabbed her phone to make sure of something. Her boyfriend has not given the news the girl has been waiting for all day.

...Rajendra ⁇ ◝ ⁇ ◜...

^^^Rajendra, I missed you |^^^

^^^Your work keeps you busy huh? |^^^

^^^Stay spirit yes, until finished |^^^

^^^If there is anything, I will be here |^^^

^^^For you |^^^

"What are you doing all day, Rajendra? Don't you have the slightest time to give me news? You already work. Now you don't have me."

Ignacia put down her phone and hurriedly went to sleep. Waiting for Rajendra to return his message will only make him seem begging for attention. But at least Rajendra can read it if it's very, very busy.

The girl's eyes closed peacefully after a few seconds. But it did not prevent the fall of the tears in those closed eyes. His lips that had been calm now seemed to be holding something painful.

...*****...

"I just said it as a friend. I see you busy with your activities and rarely use a cell phone. And every time I find you, all you do is call your mother. Why don't you call Ignacia once in a while?"

Rajendra's friend is still there. Pulling his hand from Rajendra's shoulder and keeping it in the apron pocket. "I might sound too meddling. But after having an ex, I know what a man should do for a woman."

Rajendra was silent and did not respond. Try to think carefully about what the friend is saying. He knows better because he used to have an ex. Rajendra has no idea why the two broke up or how long the two were together. Clearly, his friend knew more.

"Rajendra, I'll go in first. If you still want to smile here, I won't ban it. But I'm reminding you that night air isn't good for health."

After the departure of his friend, Rajendra sat down again. His eyes looked up into the night sky. What his friend said was good. Rajendra did not take heart if only the words of his friend were a bit meddling in his relationship with the lover. Rajendra is not that kind of person.

His phone was in a bag in the employee's room. The position is now in the backyard of the restaurant. Maybe Rajendra will check Ignacia's roomchat when she's on her way home.

"Ignacia, are you asleep? Howwasyourday? Sorry I haven't been here all day. But I will promise you that I will do my best for you and me."

...*****...

Rajendra put on his jacket well then picked up the bag he had placed inside the locker. He opened the zipper where he kept the phone. The screen of his phone lit up, showing some messages from the lover that came around a few hours ago.

The eyes that read the message turned soft. Rajendra did not leave his lover on purpose. Rajendra is busy and focused on his work so that everything goes smoothly. Just like he did when he was serving as an event committee when he was still the chairman of MPK.

"Rajendra, are you still here?" Someone called from outside the room. His footsteps were like they were about to approach the room where Rajendra was pensively reading Ignacia's message.

Rajendra quickly keeps his phone and wears his bag well. I immediately met a boarding friend who made him get this job.

"Go home first. I'll be here a little longer. Clean up before going to bed. Tomorrow we'll have a busy day" his friend remembers, and invites Rajendra to leave the restaurant.

On the way home, Rajendra sat on the bus checking his phone. Nothing has changed from Ignacia roomchat not coming back online. It was obvious that her lover was actually sleeping. Once again Rajendra disappointed him by accident.

...Ignacia🍓...

^^^Thank you for supporting me |^^^

^^^I'll do my best, Ignacia |^^^

^^^For we can quickly meet |^^^

^^^Tomorrow I will be a little busy |^^^

^^^I attempted to send word |^^^

Rajendra pressed a button signifying that he was going down at the next stop. The man in this jacket had already risen from his seat near the exit with the woman who seemed to be his age. Rajendra accidentally saw Rajendra's angry face earlier.

"Well, what's the point of having a man? He just frustrates me. Just disappearing like smoke" the woman gripped her while tightly grasping the pole she used to hold near the exit.

It's not Rajendra that this woman is talking about, Rajendra doesn't know her either. But somehow Rajendra felt afraid to be around him. Like the aura of a creature that was ready to explode and traumatize those nearby.

"What am I supposed to do?" suddenly a person's sad voice was accompanied by a sobbing. Rajendra turned his head and found the woman next to him covering her face with one hand while crying. Rajendra was panicking. The woman beside him was getting creepy.

"When have I given my heart, but why am I the one left behind? I shouldn't be this stupid." The woman was still in her position until the bus stopped at the stop where Rajendra had to get off. Rajendra's better to leave before anyone thinks about it.

The woman did not come down while standing where people would normally go down. Is it possible that his anger and sadness had made him unable to position himself properly? The woman may feel depressed because of something.

On the way to the cost, Rajendra thought about Ignacia. He has disappeared several times and has not given any news like today. Did Ignacia cry like the woman did?

But Ignacia had never demanded anything from him as long as he was busy with work. Makes Rajendra think that Ignacia is a very supportive and patient person. The best woman who makes him excited to work with all the understanding of the busyness of the man.

The rain suddenly fell. Make him who is still on his way to the resting place forced to run very fast until finally able to shelter. Rajendra stared at the increasingly heavy rain. His memory seemed to float to a memory on the same rainy day.

"Rajendra," call someone.

The nostalgic ones look over. Eliminate daydreams and return to the present. The discovery of the man who said he would stay in the restaurant longer has come. It even looks like he's been on the boarding terrace ever since.

"What took you so long back?" ask the friend then walk in followed by Rajendra who has not answered. He himself did not know why he could arrive after this friend arrived.

...*****...

Ignacia was busy with her college eye book without even looking at the cell phone. The message that someone sent out just before he set foot in dreamland actually scared him to open it. Just let Ignacia not see the phone. Her mother prefers a phone.

"Hey," said Danita, "why do you look so unhappy? After this is the class you like. Did something happen when I wasn't in the dorm?"

Danita stays at her friend's house on her birthday over the weekend. He had not seen Ignacia for several days. This morning Ignacia had just seen him in class.

"There's nothing. How do I look?"

"As if something happened. Are you really okay, Ignacia? If there's anything, you can talk to me." Danita takes a sitting position next to her friend. Staring attentively as if Ignacia was someone she should be keeping right. "But if you don't want to talk about it, it's okay" he added.

"I'm fine," Ignacia's tone turned low, "I just felt bad from sleeping too late. Maybe I'll miss it or something." Ignacia turned her gaze to the blackboard across the room. Try not to look into the eye with the one watching him.

"I'll bring you something if you're sick, Ignacia. Just tell me what you want."

...*****...

"Ignacia seems to be sick. I'll accompany him if he needs anything. Sorry I cancelled our plans. Next time we'll have dinner together, okay?" Danita felt bad to have refused the invitation of the lover. But on the other hand Ignacia does not seem healthy either.

"What if I bring you two food? I can stop by for a minute to give it to you."

"Why not just go online? Let me pay the fare."

"No, let me pay for everything. I'll buy you some food that will make your friend heal fast."

Danita keeps her phone while smiling happily. His girlfriend is the best. Then he should repay his kindness with all the abilities he had later on. Danita knew from the beginning. That this man was indeed different from the lame people he had met during his many years of life.

The short-haired girl put her phone in her pocket, walking towards the next classroom. He better hurry up because Ignacia must be there already. The two had lunch in different places, so they never saw each other again.

In class, Danita sees the male figure of Ignacia as if she lost half her life. Yes how not? He just stared at the book blankly without moving. Even the students who were around him seemed to have never been around him.

"Did he fight with his girlfriend?"

Danita guessed without speaking. His steps approached until he reached the empty seat next to the friend. Making the one in the approach finally returned to the real world because of the aura that Danita brought. "Night tonight with me, huh? I'll bring something to your room to make you better."

Danita's words made her turn her head, shaking weakly without not wanting to. "I'll take care of myself. I just want some alone time." Ignacia answered coldly. He is not happy to refuse, but he does not want to interact with anyone tonight.

"Then it changed like this. Something bad happens as long as I'm not with her?" Danita had already averted her eyes, stopped paying attention to her friend who was feeling rather uncomfortable. This long-haired girl next to him seemed to be exhausted by something.

...*****...

Ignacia waited for news from Rajendra. But something he was waiting for seemed like it would never come. Is Rajendra tired of sending him news? Sending a message was not something that this man liked. Men who would rather meet than have a virtual dialogue.

Lying if in this era there is still someone who is so busy that opening a cell phone alone can not. But Ignacia did not dare to assume that Rajendra deliberately did not give a message with unknown reasons.

Ignacia was too scared if her assumption came true.

"Aren't you tired of being at this stage of attraction, Rajendra? If you want to keep me with you, keep thinking about you, keep interested in you, wouldn't you do this. We've been together for almost 5 years but you're still busy with your world."

Ignacia stared at the window of her room that had been knocked by the rain since. It is not the second rain in the city. Even Ignacia forgets to count because she is too busy with feelings because of her lover.

"Sending a message is hard for you?"
