Chapter 35 - The Coming of Martha

After nearly two weeks in the hospital, Shiena's condition finally improved and was declared allowed to go home. Of course this was encouraging news for both of Shiena's parents.

"Thank God you can go home today, son." Wulan rubbed the top of Shiena's head gently.

"Yes, Bun. I also don't feel comfortable living here. I want to sleep in my bed."

Wulan looked questioningly. "You... We're going back to our house, right, son?"

"Eh?!" It turned out that Shiena herself was still confused by her current condition.

That night, Shiena leaves the house without telling Willy. Shiena returned to her parents' house. Even when Willy came to see her, Shiena was not willing to meet with Willy.

A few days later, Shiena signs the divorce papers that Willy gives her.

Shiena closed her eyes. He set his breath before answering Wulan's request.

"Yes, Bun. I'm going to go home to you guys. Our house!" Shiena reviewed her smile.

Wulan replied with a smile as well. "Mother wants to finish things first. You sit on the couch."

"Yes, Bun. Can I see Anila before I leave?" ask Shiena.

"Yes, of course. Poor him too he's still unconscious."

Shiena nodded then walked out of the room. Today his footsteps were faster than before.

While heading to Anila's nursery, Shiena saw that her father was talking to someone. Shiena sharpened her eyes. Shiena also walked up to the father.

"Martha?" Shiena recognized the figure of the young girl who was talking to her father.

Shiena approached the two of them. "Dad! Martha?"

Prayitno was quite surprised to see the presence of Shiena. "She, how are you here?" ask her with a tone made calm.

"I'm going to Anila's nursery, Dad. Martha, are you here?" Shiena turned to look at Martha.

"Yes, Brother. I want to see Shiena."

Martha's remarks caused Shiena to delay her departure to Anila's room. Shiena decided to talk to Martha first.

Prayitno lets Shiena talk to Martha. Actually Yitno wanted to prevent Martha from meeting Shiena. For her, Willy and Shiena's relationship was almost over.

Shiena and Martha sat on the bench of the hospital garden.

"Sorry, brother. I just went to see my sister. What is the condition of my brother now? Om Yitno said that Shiena's sister will be home today."

Shiena smiled wryly. Somehow he felt happy and disappointed because Willy's family had just visited him. What does Shiena really mean to Willy? That was Shiena's thinking.

"As you can see, I'm fine. And yes, I'm going home today. But... I'm going home to my parents!" Shiena's tone was full of emphasis at the end of her sentence.

Martha just smiled faintly. "Yes, Brother. Not what. Anyway Willy's condition is still not improving. Willy's sister is still undergoing therapy for her legs. Willy's leg was seriously injured in the accident."

Shiena was stunned to hear Martha's story.

"What's? Was Willy really hurt? Why didn't you tell me anything?" inner Shiena.

"So, what's the condition now?"

Martha was happy because Shiena was willing to ask about her sister. "Sister Willy can already walk a bit. Even though it is still a small step. I'm gonna find a physiotherapist for Willy's sister."

Shiena turned her face away. I don't know why it feels so weird to hear a story about Willy. Is Shiena numb? Or he is still disappointed with the decision Willy who wants a divorce from him.

"I'm sorry for Willy's mistake, right? I hope your relationship will improve soon. To be honest, I was very happy when the court ruled that you were not divorced because you both had an accident. It might be a sign that the universe doesn't want to see you split up."

Shiena was silent. As for how he feels right now, only he knows.

"I hope big brother wants to see Willy's brother and give him the spirit to recover quickly."

Shiena remained silent. For her right now it was not only about her that she had to think about, but also about Anila.

After talking for a while, Martha resigned because she had to go to work.

"I'm saying yes, brother. I have a day shift today. May Shiena recover as soon as possible." Martha slightly bowed then left Shiena who remained silent a thousand languages.

Shiena was still enjoying the solitude with her mind drifting away. Shiena wanted to be honest with herself if her heart was still attached to Willy.

But circumstances that make Shiena unable to meet Willy. There was Anila who needed her too.

Aware of the futile daydream, Shiena immediately got up from her seat and continued her steps towards Anila's nursery.

Inside the room, Doctor Shandy had just finished checking on Anila's condition. Recalling her dream last night, Shandy's doctor decides to stay in Anila's room and asks the nurse to leave her alone.

"Miss Anila... Whoever you are... I'm..."

Doctor Shandy tried to string together a word that was good to hear by Anila even though it was only through her subconscious.

"Umm, sorry. I am not very good at word-stringing. But I just wanted to say... I don't know what I mean by this dream. But I know if the dream is connected to you. You who are unconscious appear in my dreams as if I were someone you know."

Doctor Shandy put his lips close to Anila's ear. "Wakeup, Miss. I want to see your beautiful eyes staring at me. I want to hear your voice calling my name..."

From behind the door, Shiena was stunned to see what doctor Shandy had done to Anila. Shiena smiled as Shandy's doctor was willing to help to wake Anila from her long slumber.

"Is it possible that Shandy's doctor had to kiss Anila first like in the movies in order for Anila to wake up from a coma?" inner Shiena started to wander.

"God! What are you thinking? Doctor Shandy isn't such a pervert, She. He will not do anything negative that will only damage his image as a doctor" Shiena said.

Realizing that he was being noticed, Shandy's doctor immediately turned his back and greeted Shiena who was glued to the door.

"Miss Shiena?" Doctor Shandy greets Shiena.

"Eh?! Ah yes, doctor. Sorry if I'm interrupting." Shiena's not feeling well with Shandy's doctor.

"It's okay. Comein! You want to see Miss Anila, don't you?"

Shiena gave a small nod, then stepped towards Anila's gurney.

"Well, you're great, miss! Your feet can be used well. From the beginning I knew that the endurance of your body was arguably good, so you quickly recovered."

Shiena bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Doc."

Doctor Shandy gives Shiena time to communicate with Anila.

"How are you, Nila? It's me, Shiena. Don't be bored if I come here every day to visit you. Today, I was told I could go home by the doctor. But, I'm going back to my parents' house."

Accidentally, Anila's fingers moved slowly. Shiena who was still downcast sadly still did not feel the change in Anila's condition.

Until finally...

"Huh?! Doctor! Anila, Doc! She.. wake up! I saw his fingers move!" shiena exclaimed, causing Dr. Shandy to draw closer to the gurney and examine Anila's condition.
