Chapter 45 - New Day, New Love

Willy escorted Shiena back home. They were both warmly welcomed by Wulan and Prayitno. Previously Willy had already sent a message to Wulan if Shiena was with him last night. That way, Wulan did not feel worried because Shiena did not come home.

The smile on Shiena's face was perfect as she escorted Willy in front of the house. Wulan could see if her daughter was happier now.

"Hopefully his relationship with Willy could improve, Dad."

"We don't interfere anymore, Bun. Let Shiena choose her own love and life. We just wish them all the best."

Friska prepares to return to her hometown. He packed up even though his flight was still in the afternoon.

Tok tok tok tok

Suddenly someone knocked on the door of his hotel room. Friska frowned confusedly.

"Who's coming?" Mumbled.

Friska went to the door and opened it. How surprised the girl was after knowing the guest this morning.

"Sister Alex?"

"Hi, Frisk." Alex waved his hand.

Something Friska had never expected before.

"I'm sorry I disturbed you so early. Umm, can I come in?"

Friska was still gawking at the door and was not even focused on what Alex said.

"Friska?! You okay?"

"Eh? Ah, yes. I'm doing fine. Come on in, brother!"

Friska lets Alex into her hotel room. Actually last night... There's a lot going on.

After dinner together, Friska and Alex tell a lot about their lives. Alex feels comfortable with Friska who is now more calm.

As far as Alex is concerned, Friska used to be quite tomboyish and did not pay attention to appearance. But now this girl is more feminine and preening.

"Umm, I want to take you to the airport" Alex said awkwardly.

"Ooh." Friska forms her lips into the letter O. "But... My flight's still late afternoon, brother. Why is it still morning brother here?"

Alex laughed as he scratched his head. "I... I want to take you for a walk. Can you?"

Friska's heart cheered when she heard Alex's invitation.

"Yes God! Am I dreaming? Alex took me for a walk? Is this a date?" Inner Friska is crazy.

"Bo-can, Brother. Then I change my clothes and get ready!"

Friska immediately headed to the bathroom. In there Friska neutralized her unusual heartbeat.

"I'm not dreaming, am I?" Friska pinched her own cheek.

"Aw! I don't dream!" Friska closed her eyes. "Could Alex's brother be my soul mate?" Friska's face reddened in embarrassment to herself.

In a different place, Anila helps prepare breakfast for Shandy's family doctor. Anila feels indebted to doctor Shandy.

"Anila, what are you doing?"

"Ah, this is the doctor. I made breakfast. Please sit down, Doc!"

"No need to bother. My mom and dad are not home. But... Thanks, your cooking must be good."

With a big smile, Shandy sat at the dinner table and greedily dined at Anila's dishes.

"You're eating here too!"

Anila smiled and welcomed Shandy's offer. Bik Surti who saw happiness on the face of his master's son also smiled.

"May Den Shandy always get happiness."

After breakfast, Shandy gets a call from his lawyer regarding Anila and Raffa's divorce.

"Anila, tomorrow is the day of the trial. Are you ready to face your husband?"

Anila nodded. "Yes, I'm ready."

"Goodoo. Now you get ready and we'll head to your hometown."

The day of the trial finally arrived. Anila is accompanied by her lawyer and Shandy starts to get nervous because he sees the sharp gaze of his mother-in-law and Raffa.

Anila's lawyer began reading out the charges filed by her client. Raffa did not accept the allegations made by Anila on Raffa.

"Where might my son do that! The woman had already made up a story to take down my son. Just look at him, even with another man. The divorce verdict is not over yet! You cheap lady!"

The judge warned Raffa's mother to remain calm and not interfere with the trial. All the evidence shown Anila starting from the evidence of the visa from the doctor and also the testimony of the witnesses, the family Anila herself. Anila herself also participated as a witness so that the case was resolved immediately and Raffa was punished with justice.

During the marriage, Raffa does not allow Anila to visit her parents' house. And now Amina and Arman are crying because they can meet their daughter again.

"Thank you so much, Shandy boy. We are so grateful to Shandy." Arman patted Shandy on the shoulder full of pride.

Anila and Shandy drive Anila's family back home. He also cleaned his belongings from Raffa's house.

"I'm relieved, Mom. Because now I'm free of Raffa."

Amina was still crying because she had to watch the bitterness of life felt by her daughter.

"I'm sorry, son. If you hadn't owed Raffa's family any money, none of this would have happened." Arman regretted his actions.

Anila hugged her parents. "Yes already. Don't think about it anymore. I've forgiven you guys. And now... Allow me to achieve my own happiness."

Anila looked at Doctor Shandy who was chatting with Anila's younger brother.

"Do you like that doctor, son?" ask Amina.

Anila smile. "Yes, Mom. I've always dreamed of it. Whether it's real or still a dream... But the universe sent doctor Shandy to treat my heart's wounds..."

Shandy looked at Anila who was also staring at him. A smile was etched on Shandy's lips. From a distance Anila could see if Shandy's lips moved saying something.

"I love you..."

Anila smiled when she saw Shandy's sweet treatment of her.

The sound of decapitation filled the apartment room containing two humans who were feeling the sweetness of falling in love. The ringing of the cell phone shocked the activities of the two humans.

Immediately the woman released her lip link because she heard her phone ring.

"Huh?! Shiena?!" The young woman who was none other than Friska was surprised to see her best friend's name on her flat screen.

"Let's just!" the man who was Alex.

Friska's return is delayed because Alex holds her back and instead takes her to the man's apartment.

"But, Brother... Shiena called in a video call. How's it?" Friska is afraid that her best friend will be angry because she is with Alex.

"Let's just! Do you know how Shiena is? He'll be angry if you don't pick up."

That's true what Alex said. Friska followed Alex's lead with a still-vigilant heart. How could the plan to return home even delayed because of Alex. Friska felt a different feeling when she was with Alex. So too with that guy. It all just happened. And so emotional.

"Hello, She..."

"Oh my goodness, Frisk. Long time lifting! Lo again why? Back to the village?"

"Eh? I´m... I'm not back yet, She." Friska seemed to glance at the man beside her who still looked relaxed.

Because on the screen Shiena did not see Alex's face, Shiena asked.

"Who else is the same?"

"Eh? I´m... I'm the same again..."

Because it was too convoluted, Alex finally snatched Friska's phone from his hand.

"Friska's the same as me, She!"

Shiena's eyes puffed up to see Alex and Friska together. "Sister Alex? Why are you with Friska?" Shiena's face suddenly panicked.

"Hahaha, we're not doing anything. I just want to get to know Friska further."

"Huh?! You mean Alex?"

"I'm going to propose to Friska. We're getting married!"

Just touching Alex's statement made everyone stunned. Including Friska.

"I'm serious! After this I'll take Friska to her parents' house. And I'm gonna apply for him there. Please bless us, She..."

After the video call ended, Shiena looked at Willy who was with her.

"Mas... What if Friska is the same as Alex? I'm afraid Alex's brother is just a Friska mainin..."

Shiena's concern must have been a reason. Because Alex has always been after Shiena, and now instead wants to marry Friska who is Shiena's best friend.

"Darling... Friska and Alex are both adults. I'm sure they know what they're doing. And Alex is actually a good guy. Okay, you don't have to worry about that. Pray for the best for them."

Shiena finally nodded. "Oh yeah, tomorrow we're gonna come to court together?"

Willy smiled. "So dong! We're gonna drop the divorce. We'll get back together..."

As Willy and Shiena begin to erode the distance, the interrupting sound thwarts their romantic scene.

"Ehem! If you want to be friendly, get in that room!" said Wulan to make Shiena and Willy laugh together.
