Chapter 39 - The Unexpected Surprise

Renata drove Willy back home. During the trip, Willy was silent. Renata gave a quick glance but did not dare to ask anything.

"What exactly happened? Does Shiena want to see Willy? Or did Shiena's family stop Willy from meeting Shiena?" Renata harrumphed in his heart.

Renata's car enters the Willy family's yard. Renata offers to help Willy as the man still uses a cane to walk, but Willy refuses.

Apparently, the frustration in the heart makes Willy have more strength to force both feet to walk quickly. Renata understands Willy's attitude. He just shook his head slowly and followed Willy.

Willy went inside the house and headed straight for his room. Martha and Litha who saw him became confused by Willy's attitude.

"Sir Renata, did something happen at Shiena's?" ask Martha.

Renata just put his shoulder out. "I don't know, Martha. But it looks like something happened there."

"I'm going to see Willy's sister." Martha was about to leave but was stopped by Litha.

"Don't, Son. Leave your brother alone first. His mood will get worse. Did you see how your brother's face was?"

Martha abandoned her intentions. He looked at his brother's closed door. Willy wasn't the type to be open about his problems. Even the matter of his separation was not known to Litha and Martha if only the court officials did not come to them.

"Then I say yes, Martha, Aunt." Renata chooses to leave and doesn't interfere with Willy's family affairs. Moreover, the status of Willy who is still legitimate to be Shiena's husband. Surely Renata knows what his position here is. He's just a friend trying to help Willy.

"I'll drive you to the front! Ma, I'll take Renata first!"

Litha nodded. He smiled as Renata left. Then Litha looked at Willy's closed room door.

"I wanted to give him a surprise. But it looks like Willy's mood is bad. Maybe I should put it off first." Litha contacted someone from a cell phone.

At Shiena's house

Alex carried Shiena up to the woman's room. Alex slid Shiena's body gently into the bed.

"Is it still sick?" ask Alex. His face looks worried.

"is fine. Thanks, Brother." Shiena turned her face away.

Alex intended to put a blanket on Shiena's body, but Shiena's hand immediately brushed her off.

"No, brother. Brother better just go. I don't want people to misunderstand our relationship." Shiena firmly gave Alex a warning. It's been enough Alex has always helped him. And Shiena doesn't want Alex to misinterpret everything and think it gives Alex hope.

Without a word, Alex knew that Shiena had rejected him blatantly. Alex walked straight out of Shiena's room with shaky steps.

It seemed as hard as any effort Alex made, could not melt Shiena's heart easily.

"Aunty?" Alex is surprised to see Wulan in front of Shiena's room.

"I'm sorry Shiena did, son Alex. Maybe Shiena still needs time to accept Alex's son."

Alex smiled wryly. He knew his efforts would still be in vain if Shiena were still with Willy. Moreover, there was no sign that Shiena would continue her divorce with Willy.

Alex is out of Shiena's house. Before leaving, Alex stared at Shiena's house. Afterwards Alex drove his car out of Shiena's yard.

"Surprise!" Excited Friska who suddenly came to Anila's hospital room.

"Friskaaaaa!" shiena shouted without knowing the place.

Shiena hugged Friska. They hugged long and tight.

"Gue kangen is just like you!" i'm Shiena.

"Gue misses you too!" reply Friska.

"Ehem! So, you guys just want a hug? I wasn't invited?"

Shiena and Friska turned to look at Anila. They laughed and approached Anila. The three of them embraced. Letting go of each other with a joke.

Doctor Shandy who saw the interaction of the three friends also smiled happily. Doctor Shandy is happy Anila's condition is better because of the presence of his two best friends. His grim countenance was now more cheerful.

"Evil lo! Come here and not say it!" Shiena hit Friska's arm.

"Hahaha, intentionally. I want to surprise you!"

Anila hugged her two best friends. "Thank you. You guys are always there for me. When I'm down like this."

The cheerful atmosphere had now suddenly become blue with the sobbing of Anila.

"I'm sorry, I never told you guys this whole time. These few years have been hard for me. I-i..."

Shiena immediately hugged Anila. "Sstt, don't tell me that. Now we're here for you. Don't be afraid!"

Friska hugged Anila. "Yes, Nile. I'm here too. I won't tell Raffa you again. If I need to I'll help find a great lawyer to separate you from him."

Shiena glared at Friska. Shiena gave the code not to talk about Raffa at this time, let alone about the breakup. Shiena herself did not know whether Anila wanted to split from Raffa or not. Friska nodded. Saying what Shiena said.

"And lo, She. I'm asking you not to separate from Willy's sister. I know you guys still love each other. You can fix this relationship."

This time Shiena did not reply. He just shut up and bowed.

Willy's mood has started to improve. Tonight Willy joins Martha and Litha for a family dinner.

But this time it felt something different in the Pramudya family home. The arrival of someone Willy never expected before, makes Willy forget if he still uses a cane to walk.

"Mother!" Willy shouted and ran over to the figure of the woman he had not seen for a long time.

"Mother, I'm sorry Willy, Mom!" Willy was crying hugging Esti.

For several months now, Litha has been searching for the best doctor to treat Esti's depression. And it turned out that Litha's efforts were not in vain.

Esti was declared cured even though she still had to take some drugs from a doctor. Esti had also opened her heart and hands to receive Litha and Martha.

"Don't blame yourself, son. Mother was wrong for making a mistake. I'm sorry, son!"

The two people's cries broke, to make Martha and Litha as well as Bik Sumi moved along. Tonight, Willy gets an unexpected surprise from the people who love him. For a moment he forgot his problem with Shiena. Maybe the Universe asked Willy to fix his relationship with the family first before Shiena.
