Chapter 56 - Not as Beautiful as Dreams

Davin woke up from sleep because he felt a very comfortable atmosphere and also a different aroma. Davin opened his eyes.

"Good morning, baby..." The warm greeting of his beautiful wife makes Davin fascinated.

"Good morning." Davin looks nervous.

"Let's get up and clean yourself up. Today there will be a surprise for you in the office" whispered Wilona in Davin's ear.

Davin smiled clumsyly. He never thought he would marry Wilona. Yep! The famous Wilona Pramudya.

With a burning spirit, Davin immediately cleaned himself in the bathroom. I don't know how long he slept, and woke up with a different situation. He doesn't even remember what his marriage to Wilona was like yesterday.

Davin went down the stairs to the dining table where Wilona was. This mansion is a wedding gift from Willy and Shiena. Surely they will not let Wilona live a hard life after marriage, because Wilona will not be able to for it.

Davin was thinking how long he and Wilona had been married. Why does their house still look so deserted? Because the time he is living now is unpredictable.

"Darling..." Call Davin.

"Eh baby. Did you finish the shower? Sit here! Bi Inem cooked rice. It's really good!"

Davin sat down and watched Wilona who was engrossed in her gadget.

"So you said there was a surprise in the office. What does that mean?"

Wilona smiles. "Let's wait at the office."

Wilona scoops rice for Davin. "It was our second wedding anniversary gift."

"Both?" Davin glares.

"Yes, did you forget our wedding date?"

"Eh? Not really, honey. I didn't forget."

Sure enough Davin's gut feeling. It turns out he's back in time to the next few years.

"Darling, what better... We're thinking about..."

"Stop!" Wilona stopped Davin's words.

"From the beginning we agreed not to talk about children."

"Heh?! How do you know that I..."

"I knew. That's all a man thinks. They want the offspring of their wife. Then, after his wife became pregnant and gave birth, men only think about children. Wilona's long sentences leave Davin stunned. Wilona is very different from Devina. I don't know why Davin even thought about Devina.

What is he doing now. Living where. Whether he achieves his dream or not. Davin feels guilty for Devina.

"Yes already! Don't talk about it anymore!" The touch of Wilona's hand resuscitated Davin.

Davin tried to put out his smile. "Yes, sorry."

Wilona glanced at her watch. "It's like this. I have class this morning."

Wilona finished her breakfast the morning.

"Want you to take me?" Fresh Davin.

"No need. I'm leaving alone. Be careful with the driving!" Wilona gave a brief peek at Davin's cheek then passed.

Davin immediately finished his breakfast. It felt like he had no more taste after hearing Wilona's words.

Davin came out of the house and saw a luxury car parked in the yard.

"Huf! At least I don't have to jostle on public transport anymore. Everything happens because of the consequences, right? I have to accept that."

Arriving at the office, Davin was greeted with boisterous applause from his co-workers.

"What's this about? I have no birthday today!" Davin looked at his coworkers one by one.

"Well, what's Mr Davin? Mr Davin's time doesn't know?"

Davin shook his head.

"From tomorrow Mr. Davin is transferred to the main branch!"

"Well! You're lucky to have a wife like Miss Wilona." One of his colleagues patted Davin on the shoulder.

Davin felt that what had happened to him must have been Wilona's interference. Davin chooses to go to his room and call Wilona.

Since Wilona is teaching, her phone is off.

"Ah, fuck! Wilona turned off her phone. He always does that when there is class. What if there's an important phone? Fuck up!"

Davin slammed his body into his seat of greatness. Davin did not like Wilona's dominant attitude that governed his life.

On campus

Wilona is done teaching. Checking your phone may be important. And it turned out to be true. A missed call from Davin and a message from him.

"Call me when your class is over."

Wilona called Davin.

"Hello, sis. How's it? Do you like surprises from me?"

"Wilo, why move me to the main branch? I'd rather work at A's auxiliary branch."

"Lho, I can't do it dong! The current branch is just a small office, brother. You must work in the main branch. So that people know that Wilona Pramudya's husband is a great man."

"I don't like being great! I'd rather be myself!"

Davin turned off the phone. Wilona is upset by Davin's unilateral attitude of hanging up the phone. Wilona sent Davin a message.

"Later tonight there's a dinner at Dad's. Don't let brother ruin all my plans!"

On Davin's side, he growled angrily reading a message from Wilona. It turns out that being the daughter-in-law of a rich man is not as beautiful as he imagined. He is required to be perfect in order to be worthy of a match with Wilona.

That night, Wilona comes to Willy's house with Davin.

"Smile, Brother! Don't look at your frustrated face in front of your father and mother. Understood?"

Davin could only nod his head. He cannot refuse at this time.

When the door opened, Shiena welcomed the arrival of the two of them.

"Darling, they've come!" Shiena called out to Willy.

"Let's go in!" Shiena gently pulled her daughter's hand.

"Eh, my son has come!" Willy stretched out his hand to hug Wilona.

"Dad! Wilo misses Father and Mother."

"Dad also misses you. How's work?"

"Current Well."

"Davina! Come, Son!" Willy asks Davin to come closer.

"Yes, Dad."

Willy hugged his daughter-in-law. "Thank you for taking good care of Wilona."

Willy and Shiena's kindness leaves Davin in a dilemma. One side he wanted to end it all, one side he felt indebted to Willy and Shiena.

"Thank you for being nice to Daddy and Mommy" whispered Wilona in Davin's ear.

Davin could only smile wryly hearing it. Throughout the dinner, Davin did his part very well. Perhaps this was all he could do to please Willy and Shiena.

After dinner, Davin and Wilona return home. There was no conversation as long as they made their way to their home.

"Thank you again, brother! I hope you will get used to our new life. I know you must be awkward. Because my life is so different from your old life."

Davin. "What do you mean by my old life?!" Surely he did not accept if Wilona disfigured his former life which was only filled with simplicity.
