Chapter 43 - Memories

Willy was stunned after his conversation on the phone ended with Shiena. Willy still does not believe if the parting plan that he now regrets will even come true.

Willy calls his lawyer to ask if there is still hope for him and Shiena gets back together or not.

"Before the judge approves your farewell, you will surely mediate first. If in mediation there is a way that can make you back together, of course your separation can be canceled."

Willy smiled with relief. "alright, Sir. Thanks for the info. I'll try to get Shiena to come back to me."

A week had passed after Shiena agreed to part with Willy. Finally the first trial of their divorce will be in the title

Willy and Shiena's sides both came and sat side by side. Today's agenda is a mediation hearing. Both parties are given advice on marriage and its servitude.

"Have you ever remembered your good times together?" ask the Judge.

Shiena and Willy looked at each other. Since their marriage, they have been busy with their jobs. Even when the holidays arrived, they only chose to be at home or pay a visit to Shiena's parents' house.

"Now try to go to places that have good memories both. Every couple needs to do that. Because there would be no present if there was no past."

Shiena tried to digest what the judge sir meant to say that to the two of them. Surely so that they can repair their relationship and the divorce is canceled.

Shiena booked a taxi online and headed somewhere. Shiena only realized that the path she was going through had changed a lot.

Arriving at the destination, the taxi driver stopped his car.

Shiena stared outside the area. "Can't go in again, sir?"

Shiena chose to go down to look at the truth. Shiena dizzy looking for a place that Willy and himself used to frequent.

"Well, the starry hill is closed? How come I'm the same as Willy, I don't know?"

Shiena approached the hill which was now closed in a barbed chain fence. Shiena sighed.

"Our memory is closed. Will our relationship also be sealed with the hammer of the judge?"

"Mom!" the taxi driver's call made Shiena wake up.

"Yes, sir." Shiena got back in the car and headed to her next destination.

Shiena entered a housing complex that she abandoned months ago.

"Stop, Sir! I'll just get off here! This is the money!"

Shiena paid the taxi fare and got off. Shiena stared at the house she had been living in for the past five years.

"sold? Is this house for sale?" shiena muttered as she stared at the house Willy had bought with her own hard work.

Shiena approached the house and saw two people talking inside.

"alright. Thank you very much, sir. Hope you stay here." Willy shook hands with a man who looked like he was going to buy the house.

Willy drove the man to the front of the house until he left in his car.

Willy looked at Shiena who was in front of his house.

"The? You here?"

Shiena looked at Willy. "This house is for sale, Mom? Why?" Shiena looked sad.

Willy smiled instead. "Yes. I don't think the memories in this house are good memories. So then... It's better to sell it."

Shiena.

"Where are you going?"

After yesterday's mediation process, Shiena and Willy's relationship began to melt away.

Willy smiled. "Is there another show after from here?"

Shiena shakes.

"Then come with me yuk!"

"Where? Bring your own car?"

"Yes, I have to start a new life, She. I can't depend on others constantly."

Shiena was silent again. He saw Willy open the car door for him.

"Let's go in!" take Willy.

Shiena did not refuse. He got into the car and followed where Willy wanted to go.

"Mas, where are we going?"

"To a place that has good memories for us..."

Shiena frowned. Still don't understand where Willy's taking him.

Until finally the car arrived at a place that Shiena was very familiar with.

"Campus? Why are we going to college?"

"Let's go down first! You know that later."

Shiena got out of the car and followed Willy.

"Mas, why are you here?" Shiena's question made Willy stop his steps.

"When I was in a coma, I had a very strange dream."

"Well?!" Shiena. It seems like what he experienced was also experienced by Willy.

"I go back to the time when I first met you. We're fighting to repair this fractured relationship."

Shiena was still dumbfounded by Willy's story.

"Come on!" Willy clasped Shiena's hand and took her to a place on campus.

"You remember this place, She?"

Shiena looked around. "It's a..."

"The place where I first expressed my feelings for you. It's weird 'cause I picked this lonely place." Willy scratched his head.

"You know, I'm not a man of speech. I'm not a romantic guy either. But... I want to make you happy, She. But sometimes I don't know how to make you happy. I grew up in a broken home. I don't have anyone to share with..."

Shiena glazed over at Willy's words. Could it have been all along if Shiena had not understood Willy's feelings?

"But when I know you, know your family. I feel... If I wanted to be part of that family. I want to be loved and laugh with the people who love me..."

Shiena's cry broke. "Sorry, Mas... Sorry for putting you in grief. You're not wrong. I'm the one who's wrong. Because I asked you to be who I wanted to be. I ask you without giving. I'm..."

Willy placed his index finger on Shiena's lips. "Don't talk like that. I am so happy when I am with you. You're not wrong, She. We are both guilty of forgetting everything. We should not forget all these beautiful things. All problems should be solved with a cold heart and head."

Willy clasped Shiena's hand.

"Can we start everything from the beginning? We can't repeat time. But we can do our best to mend this relationship. Are you ready?"

Shiena's crying is getting louder. His heart was so touched by what happened today. Everything is like a dream.

"She...?" Willy asked for an answer.

"Mas, do you know that the starry hill has been closed? We can't go there anymore..."

Shiena's words made Willy laugh. "So, you've been thinking about that? Let it be if it is closed. Because now I don't need that hill to complain."

Willy summarized Shiena's face. "I've got you to be able to shed my feelings. I don't need that hill anymore."

Just what Willy said made Shiena laugh. They both laughed together.
