148. Calm before the Storm

“Bianca!”

That morning, Dono who saw Bianca left in a hurry, shouted his name to intercept her.  Hearing Dono's scream, Bianca looked back.

As soon as Dono ran towards him, Bianca also stopped her steps for a moment.

“Hah, huh, huh.  Bianca, where are you going?”  Asked Dono who seemed to still lose his breath after running after Bianca.

“Ke family residence Isnandar.”  Answer Bianca firmly.

“What else do you want to investigate Dirga?”  Suspectingly, Dono took a look at Bianca's face.

“It was also.  But this time, I want to better investigate the more suspicious person in the residence.”

Hearing Bianca say that, Dono then peeked at the file which accidentally came out a little from Bianca's small bag.  Marjono identity investigation file.

“Oh, Jey yes?”  Dono also said.

Dono and Bianca arrived at the front gate of the Isnandar family.  Coincidentally, Jey who had just returned from shopping to cook, passed by them at the gate.

“Oh, there is a guest apparently.  Are you two going to see Mr Dirga?”  Sapa Jey was friendly as she asked the two of them.

Seeing Jey's arrival, Bianca briefly glared her eyes as a defensive measure, but Dono immediately patted the woman's shoulder to wake up and did not act suspicious in front of the suspect.

“No.  Coincidentally today, we wanted to have a chat with Jey.”'s sister  Dono said with a friendly smile.

“Oh, with me?  What's the matter, Mr Police?  If so, let's go in first.”  Jey also let the two police officers enter the padepokan Isnandar.

However, Bianca immediately stopped the young man's move.

“No need to bother, Dik Jey.  We'll just be here a minute.  Rather than that, would Dik Jey be willing to answer some of our questions?”  Without wasting any time, Bianca immediately asked Jey.

Jey somewhat stared at Bianca long ago while pretending to be innocent before finally answering,

“Certainly can Mbak the Police.  What question is it?”

Start them chatting about Jey since when and where to know Dirga, how close Jey to the children of other royal friends Dirga, how about his work at the bar owned by the Isnandar family, and how to get to know the family, what about her old job, why she quit high school, why she moved home after coming home from her grandmother's death, and other questions surrounding Jey.

There was nothing strange about Jey's answers because they all corresponded to what was known from the investigation.  It's just that, in the part where Bianca asks about rumors from her friends that Jey's personality is changing, Jey's expression seems complicated in answering her.

“Well, even though the Police Department asked, I didn't feel like anything had changed from me.  But, indeed it is a natural thing for our friends who long did not meet.  When they meet, sometimes they will consider ourselves to have changed from what we used to be, when we ourselves are not aware.  But isn't it natural that someone changes over time, Police Ma'am?”

But then again, there was nothing strange about Jey's answer.

Dono circled around Jey's room which seemed strange to him because it was so filled with sketches of faces and mirrors.

“Wah, these pictures are painted in pencil, but the details are as detailed as a real face!”  Dono looked amazed.

Hearing that, Dono then smiled at Jey and then spoke again,

“Wah, I'm really looking forward to that time.  I can't wait to read the first comic that will be published by our talented aspiring comic.  By the way, why did you aspire to become a comic?  What kind of story does Dik Jey want to write?”  Looking curious, Dono asked.

“If asked why a comic, it might be because of someone I used to know who loved to read comics and often praised my image.  Trus if about what kind of story, hmmm, maybe about the theme of the adventures of the brothers.  Hehehehehe, frankly I have not thought too much about the plot.”  Jey replied with an awkward smile on his face.

“Lantas, why so many mirrors in your room?”

“Actually, I am still a layman and still have a lot to practice drawing.  Hence these mirrors helped me to practice drawing face designs using my own face base from various points of view..”.

Jey seemed to stop his speech as soon as he saw Dono reach the table near his bed.

“What is this cumbersome doll?  It looks mismatched being in your room, Dik Jey.”  Dono said while trying to touch a gloomy blue doll located on the table.

“Do not touch!”  Unexpectedly, Jey yelled angrily, forbidding Dono to touch the doll.

“Ah, this is a doll that means something to me.  I just don't like it if anyone else touches it.”

Seeing Jey's sudden sentimental behavior, a big question mark grows in the instincts of the two police detectives and they both then face each other.

Saturday, May 28, 2022, that twilight at Kaiser school.

“Ah, finally the school porseni activity was over.  Now, just waiting for the announcement of the contents of report only.”  Shouted Andika relieved at dusk that seemed to be walking with Kaiser, Fero, and Loki.

“Man is indeed the fastest adjusting creature.  Even after the gripping event that killed many victims 2 weeks ago, we can all still have fun like this in the school porseni.”  Loki said as he looked at the entire school from the courtyard where he stood filled with the laughter of his students.

“Well, that's because there were no casualties on the student's part.  Be grateful that the killer did not go deeper and harm the students.  All thanks to the wise decision of Kaiser and Wilda.”  This time, it was Fero's turn to express his opinion.

“Oh yes, since the incident, there has been no news about Wilda.  Do you know where Wilda is, Kaiser?”  Fero then asked Kaiser.

However, hearing that question, Kaiser looked down miserably.

“No.”  Kaiser only answered briefly while shaking his head.

Andika, who was able to catch Kaiser's grief, immediately switched the conversation.

Hearing Andika's question, Loki without saying anything, only smiled as he put out the V sign in his hand.

But Loki looked back to divert the conversation with the talks around the porcelain.
