26. Fantasy Novels in Remote Libraries

“Tit tit tit tit.”  The ringing tone of the phone call suddenly sounded interrupted Kaiser who was busy chatting with his old rivals and Andika. 

“Ah, from Mother.  I lift it up first yes.”  While saying that, Kaiser immediately turned around and picked up his phone. 

“Ah, yes Ma.  Kaiser is fine.”

“Maybe Kaiser will be home a little tonight because Kaiser plans to be with Andika watching a friend's basketball game.”

“It's done by 9.  Maybe around 10 hours arrived at home.”

“Ah, yes.  Fine Bu.” 

Saying that, Kaiser hung up on her.  He then pointed his index and middle fingers with a model of peace to friends who had been watching him. 

“Success.  I got permission from Mom.”  Kaiser said with a happy smile while revealing his clean white teeth.  From behind his blue eyes, a sense of pleasure emanated as if he had just obtained a lucky jackpot.

“Ah, I also have to ask Dad's permission.”  Andika said worriedly. 

“This is your phone.”  Kaiser said as he reached out his hand asking for the item he meant to Andika. 

“This.”  Andika also handed over her phone expectantly anxious. 

“Halo Om, this is Kaiser.”

“Andika wants to ask permission to go home a little night because she wants to watch a basketball game together.”

“Iya Om.  There's Kaiser too kok.”

Kaiser after saying that, then turned around.  He then returned to give a peace sign to his friends who had waited anxiously. 

“Yeah.”  His friends including Andika then cheered with happiness. 

They were very happy because Kaiser and Andika could watch them until the third match.

That day, the match was scheduled to be 3 sessions. 

Session 1 that had been followed by Kaiser before, the host of Angkasa Jaya High School against Merak Merah High School in Field A and Unggul Jaya High School against Bukit Tinggi High School in Field B was held at 12 noon. 

Session 2 is now underway, the host of Angkasa Jaya High School against Bukit Tinggi High School in A field and Merak Merah High School against Unggul Jaya High School in B field where both Merak Merah and Kaiser and Andika SMA core teams no play is scheduled for 4pm. 

As for the 3rd session where Merak Merah High School should be scheduled against Bukit Tinggi High School in Field B which is scheduled at 7 pm, forced to cancel because Bukit Tinggi High School asked to go home early so as the host, Angkasa Jaya High School will use its reserve team to fight them adjust the schedule. 

In that match, Kaiser and Andika finally agreed to join the bench due to a lack of players, but only as a dead reserve who might not play until the end.  However, it was enough to please the Red Peacock High School team members who admired Kaiser.

“But your father told me to wait with me until we were both picked up by our respective private drivers and banned from wandering elsewhere.”  Kaiser said as he let out his naughty smile that revealed his pure white teeth.

“Ah I forgot.  Today is March 5 right?”  Kaiser stood up from the podium bench with a shocked expression.  Andika then watched him curiously. 

“Ah.”  Kaiser said as he patted his forehead. 

“Today is the day my favorite fantasy book entered the library.  What time is it?”  Kaiser who panicked then looked at the big clock on the 2nd floor which still clearly visible clockwork from the first floor. 

“Thank God it's only half five.  There is still half an hour before the library closes.”  Kaiser rubbed his chest for fear of the library closing. 

“What are you talking about?  Can you read it through the online library?”  Andika who saw Kaiser's unusual behavior panicked was unwilling to ask out of curiosity.

“What did you say Andika!  Online library does not serve for novel.”  Kaiser said as he showed a sulking expression. 

“Then you can borrow Monday after tomorrow?” 

“What?  Waiting 2 days to read it?  I definitely can't sleep thinking about it.”  Kaiser exhaled while staring at Andika with an eye expression as if saying 'what is this guy saying?'. 

“Then you can tell your father's men to look for him early?  Isn't that easier?”  Andika asked curious about the increasingly unusual behavior of her best friend. 

“It can't.  That's called breaking the workload.  They are paid as workers not messengers.”  Said Kaiser firmly while standing up and crossing his arms. 

“Yeah, you are so complex.  Hahahaha!”  The bewildered Andika who had to comment on what else could only laugh at Kaiser who was acting like that. 

[It turns out Kaiser is also an ordinary human being.  He could also sulk and panic like this.  Apparently, Kaiser ended up thinking of me as his best friend with no jaim in front of me] Andika muttered inwardly.  He looks very happy. 

“Also, there's no way I'm telling them to look for the book.  You see, my image will be in front of the family.” 

“Hahaha.  One hundred percent I'm sure must be the main reason as you last said.  Andika said that while giggling to hide her mouth behind her hands. 

“But you know.  I am not ashamed of being a fan of fantasy novels.  I just, it..” 

Kaiser was silent for a moment.  He scratched his temple with a nail on his right index finger.  Her face was flushed and there seemed to be a ray of innocence behind her beautiful blue eyes. 

"Don't fit my image?”  Kaiser then glanced at Andika while smiling awkwardly. 

“Iya.  Yeah, I get it.  I won't comment anymore.  Quick go there.”  Andika then waved her hand to Kaiser as a signal to tell him to leave quickly.

“Iya true.  I have to hurry there.  Ah!”  For the second time, Kaiser patted his forehead again. 

He turned 180 degrees and grabbed Andika's hand. 

“Andika please.  Lend me your card!”  Kaiser said suddenly. 

He then released his hand grip on Andika while scratching his temple again with his right index nail and glanced elsewhere avoiding Andika's gaze. 

“I just remembered that I haven't returned the novel I read at Brother Zion's place.  And my student card made that book loan guarantee.  Hehehehe!”  Kaiser let out a small laugh while still avoiding Andika's gaze.

“Good, I'll lend you my card.”  Andika let out a long sigh and stood up using Kaiser's shoulder as a support. 

“Where are you going?” 

“Ya come with you.  This school library keeper would not lend books if not using his own card.  So let me come along to lend you the book.” 

Andika sighed bitterly saying that, but smiled afterwards.  Kaiser replied to her with a more majestic smile.

“Fantasy novel parts where?”  Andika said as she entered the library door she used to use. 

“Andika, not there, but upstairs in the building next door.” 

“Ah, that secluded place?  I do not understand why there are still people who feel at home reading in that remote place?”  Andika said with a little annoyance. 

“Hehehe, from the outside it looks shabby, but the inside is well maintained.  As expected of an elite school.”  Said Kaiser who was proud of his school library. 

“Let's take the book immediately and then return to the loan section.”  Andika says it while yawning. 

He seems to be tired of playing basketball long enough after a long time of not playing.
