37. Please Return the Plain Girl's Smile

“Hai.”  Greet the woman.

Hearing the woman's greeting, Kaiser greeted her with a warm smile.  However, after a while, Kaiser's expression suddenly changed.  There was an expression of suspicion behind his face about the purpose of the woman's visit this time.

“By the way who are they?”  aliska asked as she looked at Danial and Amanda.

Alicia stepped forward trying to observe Danial's bright blue eyes that were identical to Kaiser's.  Seeing that, the xenophobic Danial became frightened and immediately retreated, hiding behind Kaiser's shorter back.

“Wah, whereas rainbow syndrome itself is rare.  I didn't expect you two to have it simultaneously in the same color.  Who is this Sister?  Is he your brother?”  Said Aliska who could immediately know that Danial was older than Kaiser from his outer appearance.

Just a distraction, rainbow syndrome is a genetic disorder that afflicts the newborn fetus whose characteristics are exhibited by the iris of unusually brightly colored eyes such as red, green, yellow, blue, blue, et cetera.  The genetic disorder first occurred in the aftermath of the 1998 monetary crisis caused by a sudden rainbow-colored non-destructive burst of light parts of the world that began from the Mayan Tribe ruins in South America.  This light is rumored to be the cause of the emergence of genetic disorders.  It is called rainbow syndrome.

This light, although it does not cause any visible physical environmental damage, does, but it is also rumored as the cause of agricultural land infertility which suddenly occurred after the explosion of 1998 – 2000 which caused the country that made agriculture and plantations as its main income to have to swallow bitterly the country's financial deficit the big one so it must be owed to the state capital.  As a result, there was a monetary crisis in various countries, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia.

“My cousin.  Speaking of rainbow syndrome, Dios also has unique eyes with colors that are exactly like us.”  Kaiser replied with a hint of nostalgia behind his sentence.

“Oh.”  Aliska gasped in shock at the information provided by Kaiser.  It was a facial expression that was very interested to know.

However, he soon ignored her when he took a closer look at the cute face of a girl who was beside them.

“Then who is this cute little girl?”  Aliska asked with a friendly smile to the cute Little Girl.

“Oh, she's Amanda.”  Kaiser's short reply was accompanied by a sad expression on his face.

“Your sister?”  seeing Kaiser's unusual expression, inevitably Aliska became curious.

“She's sister Kak Syarif, Kak.”

“Oh, is that it?”  Upon hearing Kaiser mention that Amanda was Sharif Saleh's sister who died partly because of her mistake in Aliska's point of view, Aliska inevitably became sad.  She approached the boy and gently stroked his hair.

“Don't be sad Brother.  Every question, there must be a way out if we do not give up in the effort.  That's what Kak Syarif taught Amanda.”  Amanda said to the woman who was stroking her hair while wiping the woman's tears on her cheeks while smiling kindly.  Aliska returned the smile of the little girl with a smile that was no less sincere anyway.  They also embrace each other.

“She really is a cute girl.” Said Aliska who kept embracing Amanda while smiling brightly.

“Who used to dong.  She's my adopted sister.”  Reply Kaiser proudly to Amanda's praise.

“Your adoptive sister?”

“Well, you know Mommy?  Amanda now has no one left since her only family, Kak Syarif, passed away.  Therefore, if I don't take care of her, who else?  As the nation moves into a global era, the treatment of orphans in the country is becoming increasingly alarming.  They were easily bullied without any one being able to protect them.  Therefore, I'll take on the role of protecting Amanda.  Although I cannot save all the orphans of this nation, at least I can save the one in front of me.”  Kaiser's words seemed to be filled with determination.

“I don't think you're a very idealistic Kaiser.” Deck  Aliska said as she looked at the handsome face of the young man sitting next to her while smiling melancholy.

In a small bedroom, there appeared a middle-aged man who lived alone sitting and leaning on his bed preparing to sleep.  He's Officer Dono.

[Forgetting Alicia's behavior at school, I can't ignore Kaiser's ease of access to school keys because of his position as coordinator of the OSIS inventory at his school.  This could justify my conjecture of a locked trick in the library as an alibi would never take effect again.  Especially from Andika's testimony, Kaiser was the last to interact with the door before Andika knew the door was locked.  The problem is, this cannot be used as a basis that Kaiserlah perpetrators of the murder of Aleka and Rihana.  There is absolutely no trace left in the CTF.  How about I solve the mystery of this case?]  Dono thought in his heart.

That night, Araka who had just come out again to see Riandra after returning home, finally arrived quite late at night at her home.  How shocked she was to find her mother being yelled at by her nanny.

“Hei Ma'am, you know I work so tired to take care of you.  But you have not ceaselessly added to my work.  I don't wanna know.  You clean yourself the broken glass you broke!”  Said the nanny yelling at Araka's mother.

Araka's mother seemed to cry bitterly because of the nanny's treatment.  Swallowed by anger, Araka who saw that without further ado immediately raised her hand to the nanny.

“Plaaak.”

“Hei!”  The Nanny shouted furiously and tried to fight back.

But as soon as he saw Araka's frightening face, he immediately canceled his intention.

“This is how you've been doing behind me?”  Said Araka while tapping her fingers, looking ready to hit the nanny.  His face looked ferocious with his terrifying smile behind his black eyes that seemed to be able to swallow people in its voidness.
