34. Dono's Intuition

It was late at night.  Dono entered his office while seemingly thinking of something.  Inside the room, Mr. Danielo was sitting at his desk.

“So, did you find anything after interviewing Kaiser's friend?”

“Hmmm.”  Dono was silent for a moment as he let out his breath.

“There is one thing that makes me suspicious.  On the day of the incident, it seems that Kaiser was locked inside the room together with Andika.  This can be the perfect alibi for Kaiser.”

“Don't forget the fact that there could have been professional hitmen involved.  Looking at the culprit, most likely like that.”  Captain Danielo immediately denied Dono's reply.

“It's true Captain.  We must not focus on the movements of suspects only, but also all the people who have had time to interact with him.  Isn't that why we assigned Fero?”

“Ya, that's right.”  Said Captain Danielo as he put his hands together and moved his body slightly forward.  He then looked at Dono more intensely.

“But beyond that, there is still something strange about their locked event in the library.  Andika was inside, all the time asleep.  Also isn't it strange that they just happened to be locked in at that exact time?  Kaiser could have used it as an alibi to be free from the trap of accusation.  Therefore, tomorrow I will go to the school directly to investigate it, especially about the library key, anyone who has it, whether it was lost, and so on.”

“What need to get to like that?”

“I've arranged it all through Bu Indri, the school's BK teacher, with the help of Pak Sudarmono Putrawardhani.  I along with some rookie police officers will disguise our infiltration into school as a regular teen extension activity.”  Dono stared directly in the eyes of his captain without turning away.

“Ready to do Captain!”  Dono saluted his captain.  The captain saluted back, and Dono left the room.

Araka returns home greeted by her disabled mother.  His mother greeted Araka with a sincere smile.  The smile was answered by Araka with a sincere smile.

Apparently the one who called him was one of his father's managers who asked him to immediately solve the case that befell his friends because it caused bad rumors for the image of his father's mafia business.
