43. The Warmth Behind Grandma Nafisah's Long Hijab

“Nak, are you okay?”

Bu Nana who found her son Kaiser came home sick immediately reached him.

“Let Kaiser rest in his room for now Dek.”

Mr. Arkias immediately calmed Ms. Nana down, while Agni carried Kaiser towards her room.

“Actually what happened Kak?”  Lucias who looked very worried immediately asked his brother.

“So please, maybe the events of these few days make it too much of a thought.  Although Kaiser looks strong on the outside, however he is still too young.”  Mr. Arkias replied to his sister's question.

Elsewhere, Araka and Riandra hold a meeting together at their usual place in the VIP bar belonging to Dirga Isnandar's family.

“I was very curious about the video.  I can't wait to get home to watch it.  I didn't think there was any CCTV hidden in the room.  In fact, I paid a lot for the cafe, but I did not expect privacy b*llshit.”  Said Riandra somewhat accentuating her anger at the cafe.

“Because now that Rihana is gone, it's a bit difficult to communicate with the media, but I've asked my people to pay some TV stations to control the news.  Unfortunately, we can't do anything about DTV and Queen TV.”  Araka replied as she exhaled with a tired expression that revealed her mental and physical build-up had been so drained lately.

“I can understand with DTV because he is our enemy, but why with Queen TV?  Why is the media that has been neutral suddenly hostile to us?”

Araka did not respond to Riandra's comments.

“Linda, add the drink.”  Araka shouted to the Maid, who was wearing only BH and underwear, to bring him extra liquor.

Araka immediately gulped in one sip of the newly added drink . while looking at Riandra sharply.

“If you know our position is again difficult, then don't do much behavior!  I am also busy with my own current affairs in order to be officially appointed as a member of the Lu family.  If you understand, please take care of your attitude and don't make yourself the reason my father judged me not to be a smug!”  Araka could no longer hold back her anger.

In the room, Kaiser appears to have woken up from a short sleep where the clock still shows at 9:30 p.m.  Beside him, Bu Nana and Mister Lucias who had accompanied Kaiser throughout his sleep looked at the son with warmth mixed with worry.

“You okay Son?”  Said Miss Nana worried.

“Hahaha.  Kaiser is fine, ma'am.  Kaiser's head was just a little dizzy because the AC in Kaiser class was broken this morning.”  Kaiser said with a cheerful chuckle to show that he was fine.

Lucias was the first to break the silence.

“Wah, I suddenly miss Bu Nafisah.  It's been a long time yes Dear we didn't visit Her.”

“Iya, Mother must be happy with our arrival especially if we bring her favorite grandson.”  Said Bu Nana while glancing towards her son.

“Nak, let's go with the fathers to visit the grandmothers in the village.”  Pinta Bu Nana to her son while stroking the hair of her son who was still lying on the bed.

Kaiser got up from his sleep and immediately hugged his parents.  They hugged each other in warmth.  Without saying anything, they could understand each other's feelings.

“Come, Dad, Mom.”  Kaiser said warmly while smiling brightly.

Tomorrow, saturday.  Kaiser decides to ask permission not to attend school.  That morning, Kaiser and his father and mother decided to go on vacation to Bu Nana's hometown in West Java.  They finally arrived at Grandma Kaiser's house, although a little late from the predicted time due to traffic jams.  In front of them, stood a grandmother wearing a long pink hijab in a lacy beige flower dress that covered her entire body except for the palm part.  Grandma greeted them.

“My son, my son-in-law, and my dear grandson, have you prayed dhuhur yet?  If not, let's quickly enter the house.  Time is almost up.”  Said the Grandma with a smile.

That afternoon Kaiser spent with his father, mother, and grandmother eating a large meal while joking and then sitting down for a while to rest.

[There is nothing that can beat the cool beautiful atmosphere in Grandma's village.] Kaiser murmured in his heart.

In the afternoon, the family group decided to look at the activity of the Grandmother in making crafts from coconut leaves.

Kaiser and Grandma sat side by side on the first floor terrace of the house.  It was the grandmother who first opened the conversation.

“Seeing Grandma's family can gather like this, nothing can beat Grandma's current delight.  Grandma's father and mother died when Grandma was still not 15 years old.  Grandma was used to living alone, making a living to support herself.  But after meeting Jun-san, it seems that Grandma is not used to her own life anymore.  Grandma's days seem to be happier when accompanied by loved ones. And when the day passed, Grandma inevitably felt the void.”  Said the Grandmother melancholy.

Kaiser looked closely at her grandmother's expression.  He also said, “Ayo Nek, stay with Kaiser in the city!”

“Unfortunately, Grandma does not fit into Cu city life.  This beautiful rural atmosphere is what makes Grandma feel at home the most.  It is in this village that Grandma's most precious memories with Jun-san are located.  After all, knowing you guys are fine there and occasionally visiting Grandma, Grandma couldn't ask for more than that.  That was enough to make Grandma feel happiness.”  Said the Grandma while smiling still with her melancholic expression.

“Grandmother must love Grandpa very much huh.  But why can Grandma get divorced with Grandpa?”  The curious Kaiser asked.

“There are things in this world that cannot be achieved by love alone Cu.  There are some things that sometimes become a barrier for us to separate even though competitiveness loves.  Whether it's differences in preferences, differences in hobbies, family differences, cultural differences, or differences in beliefs.”  Said the Grandmother with a sad expression.

Kaiser was aware of her grandmother's remark emphasizing at the very end of her sentence.  Kaiser could more or less guess why his grandparents who were so in love with each other ended up splitting up. There is a love stronger than the love of the world.
