The Truth

"You see that short-haired woman? She is Zoe's mother" whispered Thomas.

"Where do you know?" Ruby couldn't believe it.

"From the beginning I was suspicious. How can such a small child talk about the things we are looking for in this place. It was as if someone was directing" he replied.

"Then what should we do?" Ruby had no idea what to do after hearing the truth that Thomas had just told her.

"We just need to shut up and wait. Wait for a surprise from friends," Thomas answers Ruby's question.

"Do you know that too?" now it's Felix's turn to get questions from Ruby.

"I just found out today" Felix replied.

"Then when you're acting weird at a motorbike rental?" Ruby was curious.

"I just remembered what Thomas said. Last night we promised to come here but you can't come" Felix said.

"Why did I come from the beginning?" Ruby felt that friends were hiding something from her.

"We just want to make sure it's safe when you get here. I don't want anything to happen to you" Felix gave an answer.

"Cliche reason," Ruby's response.

"Hahahahaha," there was a loud sound of laughter from a distance. From where Ruby was standing, there was a woman and two men standing in front of a large tree. I don't know what they did there because from what Ruby saw the three of them just stood up.

"What should we watch?" ruby whispers. He did not understand what they should look for by monitoring the three people.

"Wait for your friends" Felix replied.

Not long after, two people were wearing hoodies and masks. Because it is still in a pandemic atmosphere, they do not want to even in a quiet place they also use masks to avoid dangerous viruses.

Ruby did not know who the two people were, whether male or female, nor did she know because the hoodie they were wearing covered her head.

"This is what we're waiting for" Thomas said.

"Listen to it" Felix tapped an instrument that was out of the question into Ruby's ear.

"Excuse me, can we ask for help?" ask someone who sounds like a woman's voice but Ruby doesn't recognize whose voice she just heard.

"We're here to sidewalk. While walking down the river near us building a tent, it turns out we walked too far and got lost. We did not manage to find the river we had just been after. Can you help us show us the way?" ask that woman Felix and Thomas said she was a friend.

"of course. I know this place very well. Let me show you, "short-haired woman is willing to help.

"Ehem," the man who had been standing quietly beside the short-haired lady cleared his throat. The atmosphere that initially seemed ordinary suddenly turned tense because of the short-haired woman who intended to take the two children away as if she was given a code to stop.

"I recommend not camping around this place because the route is very difficult for those who are not used to this place. Or invite someone who has already mastered the road in this area because there are so many teenagers lost here. Thankfully there were no beasts in this forest," the man now spoke at length.

The face of the short-haired woman who was originally a little tense had now turned more relaxed.

"Thank you sir for the advice. Next time we'll be more careful not to get back strayed, "the kid with the chocolate hoodie replied.

After giving the woman a code, she walked the teenager away.

"What's? I can't conclude anything" Ruby said after seeing the woman leave.

"After they arrive you can conclude. Wait a minute, it's not over yet" Thomas said.

"What else is it?" Ruby was a little anxious for fear that Thomas was making a crazy plan.

"There will still be someone coming" Felix replied.

"Is it still a long time?" Ruby honestly wanted to go home because she couldn't stand the money ants that were crawling her feet.

"Just wait," Thomas was also unable to confirm.

"Answer my question how do you know that woman is Zoe's mother. I don't think it's similar" Ruby started the conversation so she wouldn't get bored and sleepy.

"Aunt Ellen told me. You know, the motorbike rental place is an accomplice of bi Ellen. After all, who would want to rent a motorbike in a place like this" Felix explained.

" Why were we first asked to save Zoe?" Ruby does not understand the problem that is widening everywhere.

"Zoe was the son of the sect leader. Zoe's mother was the other wife of the cult leader who had already been successfully impregnated" Thomas replied.

The truth of that certainly made Ruby in shock. Moreover, Ruby already considers Zoe like her own biological sister.
