Fight Like a Lion

"With this a new couple we have been official. Applause everyone," Reno kept teasing Ruby and Thomas.

"We've been dating for a long time, just saying it now" Thomas said.

Ruby diverted the conversation by asking the whereabouts of the lecturer.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The lecturer gave the task. I already sent it to the class group," Reno said.

In her heart Ruby said, "when I just lied to Kylie saying there was no lecturer so I went to campus later, it turns out there was no lecturer".

Ruby dropped out of the class followed by Thomas.

"Darling," whispered Thomas.

Ruby turned around and smiled.

"What's the matter, my dear?" ask Ruby.

"I want to kiss you. From morning we haven't kissed yet" Thomas replied.

Ruby immediately smothered Thomas's lips before anyone heard Thomas' words.

"This is college, my God," replied Ruby.

Thomas looks spoiled with Ruby. I don't know why his attitude relapsed when he was on campus.

"Come home" Thomas asked.

"The second hour hasn't even started yet" Ruby replied.

"My mission's done. We can sleep through the night" Thomas pulled Ruby's hand.

They actually went back to Ruby's house.

"I can't wait to make you my wife" Thomas said.

Every word that came out of Thomas' lips always made Ruby feel happy that she could not express with words.

"Sure you'll cook for me every day. Preparing the things that I will bring work. Take care of our children" Thomas imagines.

"It's funny that we have children" Ruby fantasized.

"Later our son there are two. The first man. When he grows up he'll be a cop" Thomas said.

"The two women. He's going to be a doctor" Thomas said.

Ruby was just listening to Thomas's genitals.

"Why are you quiet?" ask Thomas.

"Honey. Your phone rings" Ruby pointed at Thomas's phone.

Thomas picked up his phone outside. At first glance, Ruby read that it was Evelyn. Not for five minutes, Thomas returned to the room.

"From who?" ask Ruby.

"Mama" replied Thomas.

Ruby smiled as if nothing had happened. But in his heart raging feelings of sadness because Thomas lied when they had just made a promise nothing would be covered.

Instantly, Ruby's strong belief that Thomas would not lie vanished.

He became alert and guessed what Thomas really wanted.

Ruby just kept quiet and Thomas noticed. Thomas knew something was wrong.

"Honey. Actually that's.."

"It turns out your words can't be held" Ruby said as she pushed Thomas out of her room.

Ruby's tears spilled. He had high hopes for Thomas. He trusted her very much. Although only a small thing but still Thomas was lying.

Thomas banged on Ruby's bedroom door. Ruby wiped her tears and sat down for a while to calm down.

"Dear listen to me first. I beg you" Thomas pleaded with Ruby.

"I want to explain first what happened. Open door!"

Ruby was silent about what Thomas said..

"Honey," Thomas kept calling Ruby from outside the room.

"Go home!" exciting Ruby.

"I won't be home until you open this door" Thomas threatened.

Ruby opened the door of her room and walked out with puffy eyes.

"Dear you cry? I'm sorry," said Thomas.

Ruby just kept quiet while fiddling with her phone.

"Tell me what you want to say, Thomas!" Ruby started a serious conversation.

"Evelyn called me asking why you and I weren't at college. The lecturer asked us when we were absent. He called you earlier but there was no answer" Thomas said.

"Then?" ask Ruby.

It's true there was a missed call from Evelyn on Ruby's phone. But that's not what he's worried about.

"I don't forbid you from talking or hanging out with anyone as long as you know the limits. I won't limit because I'm sure you know the limits. I'm disappointed you lied. Why aren't you being honest if it's Evelyn's call? I'm not that possessive, I won't forbid my lover from befriending his classmates. Thomas, you've tarnished my trust. I thought you were right to hold onto what you said when you said there would be nothing to hide from each other. It turned out to be just nonsense," Ruby let out all of her heart. He was very disappointed.

"Dear please. I'm just afraid you're angry. I don't want to lose you much less want to have you" Thomas said.

"I choose you means only you. There's nothing else. Whatever the reason I hate people who lie" Ruby replied.

"I won't repeat it" Thomas tries to persuade Ruby.

Ruby walked into the room and cried once more. Thomas felt very sorry why he lied to his lover. He knew after that. Ruby would not completely believe in herself.

Thomas soon follows Ruby to the room. He just sat there and lay down next to Ruby.

Thomas hugged Ruby from behind who was on his back.

"I'm sorry, honey. I'm so sorry. From now on I won't be afraid to be honest, no matter what," Thomas said.

Thomas knew that Ruby would only take his words as nonsense, but from his heart Thomas really promised Ruby and himself to tell the truth as it was. Whatever risk he has to take. Ruby did not answer. He was silent and occasionally hiccuping. Thomas hugged his lover tighter and tighter. She stroked her hair and kissed her cheeks. Ruby closed her eyes and fell asleep in Thomas's arms. Thomas also fell asleep.

It's afternoon. It's been twelve hours Thomas and Ruby together. They miss lunch, Ruby rushes to the kitchen and cooks for her lover.

"Darling, what do you want to eat?" ruby asked as if nothing bad had happened.

Thomas, whose life had not been collected, answered with his eyes closed,

"I want spicy fried rice" he replied.

After answering Ruby's question, she went back to sleep.

Ruby went back to the kitchen and cooked what Thomas wanted.

Ting...

Ruby's phone sounded. It was a message from Andrew.

"What more do you want this child" Thomas murmured inwardly.

Thomas read the message with a sullen face. He held back the emotion of reading Andrew's message.

Thomas only read the message and did not answer it but Andrew had great determination. He sent back a message.

Thomas left the chat room open so that the message sent by Andrew was read immediately. Thomas approaches Ruby to the kitchen as her drowsiness disappears.

"Honey," Thomas hugs Ruby who is busy with her spatula and vows.

"Wait ya. It's just about to mature" replied Ruby.

"The kids in the class already know that we're dating" Thomas says.

"Then?" Ruby didn't understand what Thomas was trying to say.

"But it seems that some do not accept it" replied Thomas.

"Who?" Ruby turned off her stove and looked at Thomas.

"Well! He woke up the sleeping lion, "Thomas went back into Ruby's room.

Until here Ruby had not understood who did not accept their relationship and what Thomas meant by the word waking the sleeping lion.

Ruby then arranges Thomas into the room.

"Look," cried Thomas while prodding Ruby's phone.

Ruby read the messages Andrew sent her and laughed.

"Honey. I'm being serious right now," Thomas spoke while looking at Ruby with his sharp gaze.

"Honey. Just ignore it," Ruby took Thomas out of the room.

Thomas sat at the dinner table after Ruby served the fried rice he had made earlier.

They eat together.

"Obviously he knows I'm your girlfriend why he's so bold he's asking you out of a relationship" Thomas murmured.

"That kid is a little weird indeed" Ruby replied as she ate the rest of the cucumber on her plate.

"Even he forces you to accept his love. Clearly she's asking you to have an affair," Thomas regained his emotions.

"Dear already. What matters is my response. I won't accept it because I'm yours now" Ruby tried to calm Thomas down.

Thomas could not enjoy Ruby's cooking quietly because his mind was disturbed. He was worried that Ruby would play behind him at any time.

Ting...

Ruby's phone is back. Thomas immediately snatched away the phone that Ruby was holding. He read the incoming message.

"How dare they be behind me," Thomas looked really angry.

"They? Who?" Ruby is curious and reads the message but Thomas has deleted it before Ruby sees the contents of the message.

"Two delinquents," replied Thomas who then left Ruby with his motorbike..
