help or trap?

Ruby locked the door from the inside. The four men still persistently tried to break down Ruby's room despite the failure. From the window, Ruby saw the situation outside the deserted motel. Anne and Poppy's father did not notice because the focus was on the four men who were chasing them.

"It looks like I have to make a deal with them" Ruby told Bella and Cassie.

"It's up to you that it's important we stay alive" replied Cassie, who began to feel hopeless.

"Hello. Are you guys still there?" ask Ruby from the room.

"Still," replied a man in a faint tone.

"Let's make a deal together" Ruby bargained.

"What kind of deal?" ask the same man as the man who answered.

"We have to work together to escape this place. Aren't you Thomas' friends? He and my girlfriend are fixing cars. We can escape together" Ruby explained.

"So you guys don't arrest us" he added.

"Do you really mean it? You didn't set us up, did you?" the man asked. There was another sound outside the room, the men's friends were busy discussing.

"Ah, what was your name before?" ask Ruby.

"I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Ken," he answered.

"Hm. I agree with the deal you're offering" he added.

Ruby slowly opened the door of her room and let the four men in. The atmosphere was a little awkward but Ruby as much as possible tried to melt the atmosphere.

"Hi Ken, I'm Ruby. Thomas' friend," Ruby introduced herself.

"He talks about you often. You're her ex-boyfriend, right?" ken Goda.

The atmosphere was slightly liquid because Ken was a nice guy when Ruby had a conversation.

"almost forgot. These my pals. Jay, Jason, and Benny" Ken introduced his other friends.

"Hello," greet them with a bit of embarrassment.

"wait. I'll treat you first" Ruby took the medicine box she always carries with her wherever she goes. And because Ruby and Felix plan to find a rental house, Ruby carries a medicine box with a complete wound medicine in her backpack.

"Let me, please" Bella offered to help.

Bella treats Ken while Cassie helps Benny. Thank goodness the other two friends of Thomas were unharmed.

"Why did that woman cut my hand so cruelly" Benny said, holding back the pain while being treated by Cassie.

"We don't know either" replied Cassie.

"How did you get caught by them?" ask Ruby.

"You remember the first time we got to this place and the motel owners didn't let us get rid of that fallen tree? Thomas told us to wait in the car so we stayed near the tree. Suddenly a group of men dressed as thugs caught us. Either they gave us drugs or something and after we woke up we were in a pretty nice house" Ken explained.

"Then since yesterday they forced us to admit that we killed a woman when it was clear that they were holding us" he added.

"I think one of the people who arrested us was a police officer" Benny said.

"Why do you think he's a cop?" ask Ken.

"I saw his identification before we were unconscious" he replied.

"It may be true that it is my and Felix's assumption that there is police interference in this matter" Ruby said.

"Ah, where's the body?" Ruby thought back to the dead body of the woman she found.

"They kept it in a very cold room. I didn't expect there to be such a room in the middle of the forest either" Ken replied.

"Why haven't Thomas and Felix come back yet?" Ruby was worried because there was no news from them.

"I'll make a video. I'm asking you to explain what events you've seen and experienced during the captivity" Cassie asked the men for help.

The four of them, of course, agreed to help Cassie and Bella make the video. For some time the six of them were busy with videos and interviews while Ruby stared at the window.

I heard a very loud horn. A truck broke into the motel yard, hit some potted plants that were there.

"Romeo!!" Ruby pranced with excitement because Reno finally came with so many people. Ruby tried to contact Felix but there was no answer. With forced he ventured out of the room while his new friends he told him to stay there.

"Sorry we arrived late" Reno said after getting off the truck.

"I'll find Thomas and Felix first," Ruby's permission to leave them for a while.

Ruby walked to her parked car. Looks like the rear tire of Ruby's car has been replaced with spare tires. Ruby searches around for where Thomas and Felix went and she finds something.

"Hey! Jesus," Ruby grumbled.

"What are you doing?" thomas asked, rubbing his eyes.

"Is it safe?" Feli woke up.

Thomas and Felix were asleep in the car during their hiding and no members of the sect checked their car.

"Reno is coming," Ruby said, giving the encouraging information.

"Where's the kid?" Thomas immediately stood up excitedly hearing his friend was already there.

Ruby walked first followed by Thomas and Felix. They approached Reno and the driver who had driven Reno and his friends to the motel.

"I must return soon" said the old man.

"Good sir. Thank you for bothering to get us here," Reno thanked me before the truck driver left.

They all went into the motel, as if they were the owners of the motel. Bella and Cassie and Thomas' friends are having a conversation after completing the video.

"Ruby, I have a few questions" Cassie said as Ruby arrived at her room.

"What's wrong?" ask Ruby.

"Could Anne have deliberately had these four men arrest us in order to escape together? Or was he disguised as a good man to set you up?" Cassie revealed the possibilities she had in mind.

"I felt from the beginning she was indeed what Anne did for their good.
