End Journeys
I want you to be happy

"We should have gotten out of here easily. Why is everything so hard now?" grouse Ruby.

"Everything is just a tree" Felix complained.

"Actually I could have enjoyed my time here longer, had you not ruined my mood" Ruby said.

"Yes, I know. I started all this mess" Felix replied casually. But it actually feels strange for Ruby, because usually Felix answers with a depressed face because he feels guilty. But this time it looked different.

"Then what did he do? Is there no effort to move fallen trees?" ask Ruby.

"He who do you mean? They have names!" felix replied with a slight snarl.

"Why are you angry? I asked nicely, "Ruby was very upset by Felix's behavior.

"The more I come here I don't like your nature" Felix issued a statement that was quite surprising to Ruby.

"You get angry very often" he added.

"Why indeed? My boyfriend roomed with another woman, then defended her and accused me without knowing the source of the problem. Is that not enough to make me angry? Why are you provoking a fight so early?" Ruby did not accept Felix's words.

"If you don't like it, just leave me. I also just found out your real nature is rude, accusatory and easily tempted," Ruby left Felix.

Felix initially spoke without thinking about the impact that would be caused by his words. Now she has made Ruby angry again. The people who saw it would probably label Ruby a grumpy woman, but behind it all there is a clear reason, which makes Ruby's attitude like that.

"good. This time what did you tell your lover, you idiot!" Felix cursed himself.

Ruby is seen walking towards Poppy's house, intending to talk to her.

"Excuse me" said Ruby outside the house.

Poppy's mother, whom she did not know her name, sipped her hot tea.

"Please come in" replied Poppy's mother kindly. Unlike usual, this time he smiled a lot at Ruby even though he usually always looked at Ruby with cynicism, after their first debate.

"What's wrong? It must be something important that you come this early" Poppy's mother started the conversation.

Being very welcome, Ruby kept her attitude even though she was still a little upset with the woman, and especially her son.

"I want to ask, do you need any help moving the fallen tree? Actually I want to go home because I've run out of money to rent this motel," Ruby had previously been looking for a reason to be able to leave the motel immediately.

"Not to be paid. You can stay for free" replied Poppy's mother.

The plan that Ruby had put together last night with high confidence will succeed is now destroyed just like that.

"Free? No, I can't accept something like that" Ruby refused Poppy's mother's offer because she really wanted to go from there.

"The tree will be removed soon but I don't know when they come" said Poppy's mother.

"They? Officer.."

"We don't allow just anyone into this region from today," Poppy's mother smiled with a grin, making Ruby shudder in horror.

But on the other hand, he tried to take advantage of the opportunity to chat with the woman to get a lot of information.

"I'm not comfortable here. Someone peeked at me and my lover from the air hole," Ruby lured the woman.

Mother Poppy looked very surprised with her eyes wide open. But he quickly returned smiling.

"Your feelings only. There was no ghost here, hahaha," he laughed loudly. The sound of his laughter was quite scary making the atmosphere become gripping even though it was still morning.

"The thing is, I saw it for myself. And I have proof of the tape. I didn't think it was a ghost, I knew it was a human. A woman," Ruby smiled.

He started playing a game that had been created by Poppy's mother and daughter.

"Is there any access to the top so anyone can peek out of the vents?" Ruby began to lambast the woman with her question. As a law student it was common for him to issue questions that made his interlocutors feel cornered.

"No. There aren't. I could only climb the stairs from the back of the motel. Usually the handyman who repairs the motel goes upstairs" replied Poppy's mother.

"I'll take care of it and make you live comfortably" replied Poppy's mother.

"No, I'm just wondering what it's like to peek at a couple making out" Ruby smiled cunningly.

"Later you fall, dangerous. I promise you tonight I'll make sure nothing bothers you and your lover" she assured Ruby.

Ruby was relieved to know the access to the top, and without realizing it Poppy's mother had admitted that there was a secret place up there. However, Ruby also realizes that she is in danger and does not want to involve the people closest to her.

"Oh yeah, me and Felix aren't related anymore so you can tell your daughter if she's still interested in Felix" Ruby threw her sweet smile.

Poppy's mother died a tick, she did not answer for a long time.

"Ah, no. I'm not gonna let that kid bother you. I promise you, you don't have to end the relationship" Poppy's mother replied.

"But our relationship has been ruined because of your daughter," Ruby still smiled as she shed tears.

Poppy's mother looked down. He felt sorry for Ruby who came there happily with her lover but now everything is a mess.

"I.. I'll try.." Poppy's mother spoke stammeringly.

Poppy suddenly appears and kneels at Ruby's feet.

"I'm sorry. I don't make a mask like this. This is not what I want. I have no intention of destroying your relationship. I'm sorry," said Poppy who came out of nowhere.

"You think my relationship can go back to normal?" Ruby who had a soft heart back then looked different. He didn't feel sorry for Poppy at all.

"You're like this because Felix's here, right? You want to attract her attention and make her think badly of me" Ruby added.

Felix walked in without permission to the house. He had indeed followed Ruby from earlier and eavesdropped on their conversation from the outside. Felix is quite surprised to know Ruby is aware of her presence.

But Felix's arrival did not change the situation. Everything was silent, only Ruby continued to speak as if to reveal what her heart was. From the eyes of Poppy's mother who is also a woman and a mother, she looks pity on Ruby.

"And you. We have nothing to do from now on" Ruby looked at Felix deeply. He who smiles even though he still has tears, has now lost his smile.

"You start your life without me, dear," Ruby got up and hurried away from the house.

Regardless of Poppy sitting on the floor, Felix goes after Ruby. He was very sorry, if this morning he did not carelessly talk and hurt Ruby's feelings, this would not happen.

"Darling, give me a chance," Felix chases Ruby to her room.

"I've given you two chances. Now you're asking for another chance to hurt me?" Ruby laughed with Felix's courage.

"I was just a little upset with you because you didn't seem to appreciate me as a man, so I said that. But now that I don't care, I don't deserve to be appreciated. Please forgive me," Felix continued to plead exactly as he had when they first got into a fight at the motel.

"Men like you don't deserve me" Ruby took her clothes and moved to another room. Thomas's Room.

"What are you doing? Why there?" Felix didn't take it.

Poppy came to them. He feels guilty and wants to apologize from Ruby.

"Now what else?" ruby said after seeing Poppy come.

"You see my battle? I'm rude, disrespectful. A good man like you doesn't fit in with a rough woman like me" Ruby said. Now he did not cry anymore because of the relief that had revealed his heart.

"No, you're not that kind of woman," Thomas came with a big plastic bag.

"Where were you?" ask Ruby.

"Asking for food at the motel owner's house" Thomas replied without shame.

"Whatever I'll do to make you forgive. Please, I don't want your relationship to end" Poppy spoke with a bow.

"Well, you have to do something for me. And as for Felix, this is all for our good," Ruby shut her heart tightly to receive Felix back.
