Cupid Screwed Up

Felix's approaching the window. A white-haired woman waved her hand and gestured for Ruby and Felix to approach her. Ruby came closer but she walked behind Felix.

The woman was the woman who had shouted in the courtyard, Poppy said that the woman was not sane. But in Felix's heart, he felt the woman was healthy but her clothes were indeed tattered.

"Go from here. Danger," the woman whispered from the window.

"What's up, Bu? Please explain to us" Felix was very curious.

"There will be rituals. I'm afraid that you guys are victims like a couple last year" the woman replied in a soft voice.

Felix hints at the woman to wait because he and Ruby are going out of the motel to meet her. The woman nodded, indicating she was waiting for them. Secretly Ruby and Felix go out of the motel so that no one sees them, especially Poppy. Before Ruby and Felix left Poppy's house, she told them never to talk to the woman who was said to be less sane by Poppy.

"Where are you going?" Poppy suddenly appeared in front of them.

"To the page for a moment." said Felix.

Poppy let them through. He went into a room whose door looked different from the other doors in the motel.Felix and Ruby rushed out secretly. They headed towards the courtyard near the parking lot, where it was where the woman was.

A woman was seen standing on their back.

"Excuse me, Mom," said Felix.

The woman looked at them with a smile. The clothes used by the woman had changed, not tattered clothes anymore but good clothes and was no stranger to the eyes of Ruby and Felix.

"What did the ritual mean?" ask Felix.

Ruby immediately stomps on Felix's feet after realizing the woman is not the same woman as the woman who called them. But the face of this woman with the woman who was said to be less sane earlier was very similar.

"There is nothing like it here" said the woman.

Yeah, the woman they're talking to right now is Poppy's mother. I don't know where the woman who told them about the ritual disappeared.

Ruby and Felix looked at each other for a while, Ruby took advantage of the opportunity to code Felix so as not to ask further but Felix did not understand.

"We were just curious about the woman who was yelling earlier" Ruby said.

"Why do you believe so easily in the words of the insane? Stupid" replied the woman.

"What's? How dare you," said Ruby.

Felix tries to calm Ruby because her screams are heard by others.

"I'm sorry" said the woman, but Ruby didn't care. He leaves Felix and the woman, but Felix follows Ruby.

Poppy was seen coming towards them.

"Did my mom make trouble?" ask Poppy.

"We're leaving today" Ruby's answer deviated from Poppy's question.

"Is the room uncomfortable? I will prepare a new room" he replied.

"No. The rent was also up tonight so we left because there was another job" Felix replied.

"alright. You better take a break," Poppy went out of the motel.

Felix and Ruby packed up. They are still curious about the events that happened last year and what the ritual is. And what made them even more curious was why Poppy's mother and the woman who appeared in the window had very similar faces.

"It looks like they're twins" Ruby said suddenly.

"Who?" ask Felix.

"The woman we just met. But the so-called mad woman looks better than Poppy's mother. From the look of his eyes alone was already visible," he replied.

They finished getting their clothes cleaned. Ruby went to the window where the woman had suddenly appeared. It was seen that some large-bodied people were talking to Poppy and her mother. They brought pohin logging machines, axes and many other tools.

"Honey, it looks like there will be construction or similar projects" Ruby told Felix.

Felix approached his girlfriend who was standing by the window.

"Where will they cut down the trees? I think the land outside this motel belongs to the government" Felix said.

"The forest next to this motel is indeed state-owned. Maybe somewhere else," Ruby walked towards the bed and chose to rest.

After Ruby fell asleep, Felix went out of the room to look around. When passing through a room that sounded noisy, he was curious to enter but he broke his intention and chose to return to the room.

Ruby was still asleep from the outside, because Felix was just peeking out of the door.

"Hello." said a man who looked the same age as him. The man was carrying two large bags.

"Oh, hi," Felix shook the man's hand. After introducing each other, the man named Al said goodbye.

"They said the motel was going to close so we were told to leave immediately" Al said. Felix agreed confusedly because no one told him that.

"I will go first with my wife" Al said as he passed.

After Al left, Felix went to see Poppy.

"Excuse me, is it true that this motel will be closed?" ask Felix to Poppy who is sitting in the reception.

"close? No. gabe. If it closes I will make an announcement" he replied.

"B.. Okay," Felix went back to his room.

Ruby woke up with a pouting face. He looked at Felix sharply.

Felix then told him what had really happened and what he had just done. They went back to sleep together.

"God! It's night," cried Ruby while shaking Felix's body.

Felix woke up and looked at the window. The sky looks dark.

"Can we still find a house this late?" Felix rubbed his eyes.

"you mean? We're staying here again?" Ruby doesn't seem to like it.

"You want how else, dear? This is all you can do now" Felix replied.

"The lease is over. You have to pay first" Ruby reminded.

"I'll take care of it," Felix went out of the room and took care of the cost of the stay.

Long enough Felix left when the payment place is not far from their room.

Thirty minutes passed, Felix never came. Ruby decides to catch up with Felix.

He walked down a quiet but bright hallway. There was no sound in every room he passed, in contrast to yesterday, although quiet still heard the residents of the hall talking. New time shows at nine o'clock.

"Darling?" Ruby called at the guest table. But there's nobody there. Not even Poppy.

Ruby was looking around for where Felix was going because he was there alone and was terrified.

A room behind the waiting table with the door slightly open saw him.

"It's impossible" Ruby said.

But because of the curiosity haunting him, he decided to enter the room. Ruby opened the door slowly, from where Ruby stood there was a female voice.

"You're going to love it" said the woman.

"My love is waiting for me" replied a man.

Ruby eavesdropped further on what they were doing because the voice was no stranger to her.

"Just in a moment" said the woman.

"Wait on! No..," the man replied but not yet finished he spoke the atmosphere back in silence.

"Felix!" yelled Ruby who had confirmed that the voice was Felix's voice.

"S.. Honey," Felix walked over to Ruby.

"What are you doing? Baj*ngan," Ruby left them.

Ruby finds Felix in the room with Poppy.

"Honey. It's just a misunderstanding" Felix chased after his lover in a panic.

"Dear listen to me. I beg you," Felix tried to get close to Ruby who was putting her toiletries in her bag.

At the same time, the phone came in from Key on Ruby's phone. Every night they used to talk on the phone. While crying Ruby picked up the phone.

"Sister? Why?" Key immediately realized something was wrong.

"Your brother's rooming with another woman" Ruby replied immediately. Usually if he was having problems, Ruby never told Key because he was afraid Key was worried but this time he was unable to stem his anger.

Felix who heard that just kept quiet while shaking his head. After hearing Ruby's reply, Key turned off her phone. It was predictable that Key would call his brother.

Ruby leaves Felix alone arguing with Key. Seeing Ruby go, Felix doesn't care about his sister's babble and goes after Ruby.

In front of the room, Poppy approached him.

"Ruby I'm sorry. I was wrong" he said.

Ruby did not care and immediately pushed Poppy to fall down. Felix was quite surprised to see Ruby's reaction. Poppy, who was still sitting on the floor, reached out to Felix, asking to be helped up but Felix ignored her. Ruby saw the incident laughing while wiping her tears.

"Women teaser," he said.

Ruby immediately left the motel and walked to the highway. Before arriving at the highway, he had to pass a small road that can be passed by a car first. I wish there was a taxi passing by. Felix chases after Ruby while begging her to listen.

"I don't want to hear your lies anymore. You're no better than Thomas" said Ruby, who had been deeply provoked by emotion.

"Whatever you want to tell me, just say it. But please don't go, listen to my explanation," Felix actually begged that night. Previously, he was the type of person who would be angry if someone ridiculed him even though he was the guilty one. But that night he really didn't care about all the ugliness Ruby said.

"Go. Ihate you. From now on we have nothing to do anymore" Ruby sped up.

"No. I don't want this to end just like that. I beg you," Felix walked over quickly beside Ruby, pulling his hand back to the motel immediately.

"Go you! Don't you dare touch me!" Ruby gave a warning.

"Honey, please. I'll explain everything.I'm not having an affair. For God's sake I don't.." Ruby pushed Felix away from her.

"I hate you!" ruby shouted in Felix's face.

Ruby left Felix who was still glued.
