"Borrow uterus?"

Ariel nodded. "You have made Sinta lose her womb, now you only need to lend your uterus for one year" said Ariel. Next to her, Elin was only speechless with widened eyes, so she immediately added, "Nine months if you can get pregnant right away after we get married."

"Married?" asked Elin in shock. "I mean I'm the same brother?"

"It's just a contract marriage. We just need to make a baby. And once the baby is born, we can go back to what it was before. I'm the same Sinta who's gonna raise that baby. In other words, it's not your baby. That's my baby and Sinta" Ariel said.

Elin swallows saliva. He was out of words again. He wanted to refuse, how could he do that?

"It's only a year, or at the earliest until you give birth, I promise," said Ariel.

Elin looked at Ariel hesitantly. "What about Sinta? If we get married, what would he say?"

"Where will the marriage be done?" elin asked after they both fell silent for a few minutes.

"What about Budhe Sarti?" ask Elin. Budhe Sarti is a domestic assistant who only comes during the day to clean and wash dirty clothes.

"But I'm scared" said Elin. She brushed aside the shadow of how happy she was to be Ariel's wife for the next year. He had to think of his two foster parents. He will also surely get a reproach from Gladis, his sister, if he knows he is married to their brother. Elin shook her head slowly.

Seeing Elin so agitated, Ariel also felt her patience began to thin. He had guessed that Elin did not immediately agree to his request. He has also not told Sinta that he chose Elin to be his wife. Not knowing what Sinta was going to say, he felt it was better to get the approval from Elin first.

"We have arrived" said Ariel as soon as her car stopped in the parking lot of a hospital.

Elin did not even realize they had already reached their destination city. And now he's in front of the hospital. Ariel opened the door when she said, "I need time."

"What?" ask Ariel. He closed the car door again. He looked at Elin who was down. "What did you say?"

"What Ariel asked me to do, I need some time to think" Elin said.

Ariel's pounding now. He wanted Elin to agree. "OKAY. How long do you need?"

Elin shrugged her shoulders. He himself does not know. He will betray the trust of parents who have cared for him since childhood. He would also disappoint Gladis. Then Sinta, what would Sinta say if she did this? Let's just say he agreed to make amends for the accident, but Sinta never even blamed him. So, should he do that?

Ariel raised her eyebrows. "OKAY. Let's go down first. You should get a doctor's check-up."

Elin nodded, then got out of the car and followed Ariel to the hospital building. He glanced at Ariel occasionally. He always thumped every time he looked at Ariel, and now he was much more pounding because he had imagined he could hug the body. Elin shook her head slowly.

"Excuse me, my sister fell last night. Head banged. He also had an accident about .. half a year ago. I want him checked out" Ariel told a nurse who welcomed him.

"Yes. Let's follow me." The nurse asks Elin to sit in one of the gurneys in the ER room. "Wait for the doctor for a minute."

"Yes." Yeah." Ariel and Elin answered in unison.

Shortly a doctor came in and began to examine Elin's injuries. "The wound isn't so deep, so it doesn't matter."

"But he's been bumping back and forth, Doc," said Ariel. "I want my sister to be examined in full. He's been dizzy since last night."

The doctor nodded. "Okay, we can take a CT scan if you want."

Ariel agreed, he waited for the examination of Elin and listened to what the doctor explained about Elin's current condition. And apparently, Elin was fine. Elin just needs a lot of rest to recover. After some drugs, Elin was allowed to go home.

Along the way, Elin also imagined all the attention given by Ariel in the hospital earlier. It feels good if Ariel does not hate him and Ariel actually notices him. Elin's heart rumbled because sometimes she wanted more. And maybe he can get all Ariel's attention if he agrees to marry her.

However, there are still things that bother him. After a year, what will happen? Will he lose Ariel again? What if after marriage, his feelings deepened for Ariel.

"What'd you do?" ariel asked as she turned the last corner that led them into housing.

"Ehm. I was just thinking about it" replied Elin.

"You said you needed time. I want you to give me an answer as soon as possible. If you agree, we can immediately make the contract letter. If you refuse, you should keep your mouth shut if I make a deal with another woman. Understood?"

Elin nodded. That's the toughest. He must see Ariel with another woman if he refuses. Both of Elin's hands clenched perfectly.

"Sister Ariel," he called. Ariel looked at him and nodded. "Son wouldn't hate me anymore, would you? Brother would forgive me if I wanted to guarantee my womb?"
