75. Elin's Regret

Ariel took Elin's hand that was on her chest. He held that tiny hand. However, Elin quickly withdrew her hand and walked into the house. Elin passed by Sinta who had heard the sound of Ariel's car.

"Have you come home?" ask Sinta.

"Udah, Ma'am. I'm going to the room, I'm dizzy" replied Elin.

Sinta looked up at the stairs. He looked at the wry-faced Elin curiously. Shortly after, Ariel entered.

"How long have you been, Mom? Drop by where?" tanya Sinta with a pouting face.

Ariel clucked in annoyance. He still wanted to talk to Elin who might feel angry or sad about it. And now, Sinta confronted with a folded face.

"Almost breakfast. It wasn't breakfast" replied Ariel. "I'm gonna go get my briefcase straight to the office."

"I take it," said Sinta as she ran to the dining room. She took Ariel's bag and handed it to her husband. "It's noon, Mom. No problem with the office?"

Sinta nodded, she kept her sense of regret to Ariel for caring more about Elin. Elin was only scratched by a knife. It wasn't a bad wound. He was also upset that Ariel never kissed his lips again for a farewell job.

Sinta who was still irritated finally climbed the stairs, she was curious about Elin who looked unusual. He knocked on Elin's door and entered.

"What happened to you and Ariel?" ask Sinta while sitting on the edge of the bed.

Elin just glanced at Sinta. He lay on his side while hugging his roll. If Sinta finds out Ariel has just made herself aware of their future which means she will be the one to go, Sinta will definitely laugh at her.

"Nothing. I was really just dizzy being sewn up," Elin said, showing her hand to Sinta.

"You stopped by breakfast and lingered outside with Mas Ariel and now you say dizzy?" tanya Sinta sangsi's. He accidentally looked at the curve of Elin's neck and saw a reddish mark there, but this morning there was clearly nothing. Both of Sinta's hands were clenched, he was sure they were not only going to the hospital and had breakfast together.

"Mak Sinta can come out? I'm going to sleep" said Elin.

Sinta smiled obliquely. "You know, I can't wait for the child to be born. I don't want to see you between me and Mas Ariel anymore."

"Not to worry. I will definitely leave if you want me to go" said Elin in a bored tone.

Sinta glanced at Elin's stomach that was covered by bolsters. "My baby's moving?"

"Yes. He can't help it" replied Elin. He blinked when Sinta removed the bolster from his embrace and before long, Sinta's hand landed on his stomach. "What do you want to do?"

"You forgot, I will be the mother of this baby" Sinta said with a smile. "It's my baby."

Elin clenched her hand. He was already upset with Ariel and now he is also getting annoyed because of Sinta. Why did the two people keep him aware that his future was not at all happy. He had to part with Ariel, he also had to part with his own flesh and blood.

"He kicked!" exclaimed Sinta who still touched Elin's stomach. He was so excited that he could feel the baby's movements again even though it wasn't coming from his stomach. "He must have recognized his mother's voice. It's Mama, Honey."

Elin was feeling nauseous now. The baby is not even born yet, but he is not willing if Sinta calls herself the mother of the baby. He quickly shook Sinta's hand.

"I'm amused, I don't want to be held back" said Elin as she felt Sinta's sharp gaze. A second ago, he could see her bias in Sinta's eyes. Well, he felt a little sorry for Sinta. She is not a cruel woman and has no feelings. He also sympathizes because Sinta lost her womb due to the accident.

But now, his heart was in a mess. He wants to be selfish. The baby was her baby, her flesh blood growing on her stomach. If she really had to lose her baby, she wouldn't be willing. Sinta should know too. Sinta should be able to understand how her heart is. Unfortunately, Sinta is not. Sinta just wants her baby without caring about the wound in Elin's heart.
