14. Contract Letter

That morning, Sinta prepared breakfast for Ariel and Elin. He makes toast and coffee. He also prepared some of his own homemade jams for topping toast. He smiled at Elin. She knew that Elin would contain the seed of her husband. Next month, the series' wedding will take place. However, he has not spoken to Elin about it.

"Morning, Ma'am!" Elin took out a piece of toast and began to apply jam. As usual, he wanted to have a quick breakfast so he wouldn't have to hang out with Sinta and Ariel who were always showing off their friendly mornings.

"In the morning, you do not rush to eat it," said Sinta reminded.

Elin chuckles. "Udah laper, Ma'am."

Sinta sat down next to Elin and she offered a cup of coffee in front of Elin. "You're gonna help me with Ariel, right?"

Elin's almost choking now. He coughed and hit his chest hard. Ariel hasn't told her that Sinta already knows. "Mhrs ... You've been told that brother, right?"

Sinta nodded slowly. "Yes. I hope you can keep this a secret and also .. I really wish you were. I'm sorry, too, because of my condition, you have to sacrifice."

"Udah I said, I'm guilty, Ma'am. I just want to make up for my mistakes. I have to change your baby" said Elin nervously.

"OK," said Sinta. He looked at Ariel who was going down the stairs. "Since you and Ariel are both foster sisters, I'm sure you won't fall in love during your wedding tomorrow. Don't we? You're not gonna call Ariel from me, are you?"

Elin shook her head slowly. Although she loves Ariel, she always wants Ariel to have a good household. Ariel doesn't like it anyway. Ariel just loves Sinta. Elin realized, her feelings had been clapping one hand since a long time ago.

"We're just getting married so we can have a baby" said Elin. He returned to eating when he saw Ariel kissing Sinta's cheek like yesterday, like the morning before. He was curious, if he married Ariel tomorrow, would he get a good morning kiss like that?

Both of Elin's eyes were glued to the screen of her phone. He just read a message from Ariel. He hasn't talked about his dream wedding with Ariel since a month ago. However, he became groggy now that Ariel invited him to lunch together. Just two? Or with Sinta? Perhaps, Ariel would start discussing their marriage contract.

"I didn't have lunch together" Elin told Galang. He got a disappointed look from Galang for a moment. Well, he was about to have lunch together to celebrate the completion of filming a horror film that will begin to continue into the editing process. And now, Elin is also working on a new script.

"Where are you going, El?" ask Mirna.

"I want to eat with my sister. He's ahead" he replied. He looked back at Galang. "I'm sorry, sir. You guys are all fucking jerky!"

Elin nodded slowly. She straightened her hair while walking down the stairs. He stuck his head out when he arrived at the lobby until he could see Ariel's red car. He smiled and ran there. Apparently, Ariel took her to a restaurant that had a private room. Ariel rented the room just for her and Elin. Elin immediately guessed that he would be faced with serious talks.

"You can eat while reading this," Ariel said, holding out a large brown envelope. They had just started eating and Ariel did not want Elin to be tense if they discussed it seriously.

"This is our contract?" ask Elin.

Ariel nodded. "Love read it and she agreed with every item. You can add if you feel something is lacking. We can check again until we agree."

Elin put down her spoon and opened the envelope. He reached into the A4 paper and began to read.

Through this letter of agreement, both parties have agreed on some provisions below:

1. First Party and Second Party will hold a series wedding on June 20xx xx with a maximum period of 1 year

2. Marriage is meant to produce offspring

3. The First Party reserves the right to treat the Second Party only until the Second Party is declared pregnant

4. The First Party reserves the right to cancel the marriage or drop the talaq if after 3 months of the marriage the Second Party is not pregnant

5. The First and Second Parties shall keep all agreements confidential

6. The First Party will pay 1 billion in cash to the Second Party as the cost of the rent during the marriage

7. Babies born by the Second Party are First Party-owned infants, so the Second Party has no rights whatsoever to such infants

8. This marriage was considered completed after the Second Party gave birth

Elin did not read more of the contract. He only concluded that although he would earn 1 billion dollars and time together with Ariel, it was completely meaningless. Elin nodded slowly. He folded the envelope and put it in the bag. Quickly, he returned to eating. "I still have one more project. Can I get a job if we get married?"

"Yes, as long as you can keep our marriage a secret, you can work. If you are pregnant, you are better at home. You have to take good care of yourself, so that my baby is also fine during the womb" said Ariel.
