55. Directions from Elin

Until the fourth day Elin left the house, Ariel had not found her. Both he and Sinta were equally restless. However, Sinta also becomes more annoyed at Ariel who is easy to mess around every time she comes home and does not find Elin. Sinta wants to steal Ariel's attention again, but even when she teases her in bed, Ariel seems uninterested.

"I'm not relieved that I haven't met Elin, sorry" Ariel said that night.

Sinta snorted next to Ariel. "Actually who are you worried about, Mom? Our baby or Elin?"

Ariel swallowed hard. He can't lie to himself. "both. That baby wouldn't exist if Elin wasn't around either, honey. I hope you understand."

Sinta again snorted loudly. "Of course I understand, Mas. But I'm a little worried, you changed in a few days just because Elin saw us hook up. Has your feelings for Elin changed? Will the baby be mine or ... will you choose Elin?"

Ariel took a deep breath. Next to her Sinta sobbed, so she immediately felt guilty. "You know who Elin is. He's my foster brother, he's my parents' adopted son. Even if we loved each other, we wouldn't be together."

"So, now ... how do you feel about Elin, Mas?" tanya Sinta was timid.

Ariel looked at Sinta's wet face. "I .. I don't know. I'm guilty of Elin. I've always looked at Elin as my sister all along, Sin. But ... I think he's got more feelings for me because of this marriage."

Ariel turned to Sinta for a moment. He couldn't stand it the least when Sinta spoke like this. She hugged Sinta from behind. "No, Honey. I told you, my relationship with Elin won't work. If there's love between us, it's a forbidden love."

That afternoon, Ariel was shocked by reports from Soni. Elin was detected recently using her debit card at an obstetrician's clinic. Ariel suddenly panicked, was Elin just checking normally or something happened to Elin and the baby?

"Send Elin's location right now!" ariel told Soni.

Ariel left the office earlier that afternoon. He got into the car and read a message from Soni. "It's pretty far, '" murmured Ariel.

Ariel already knew Elin was on Nareswari Island, so she didn't want to waste time. While driving his car Ariel thought hard why Elin went to the island, is not that an island that is not so much visited lately? He remembers that he and his family had been there many years ago. Did Elin come there to reminisce about the past?

Ariel did not want to just leave without telling Sinta. He immediately called Sinta's number.

"Hello, Mum. Assalamualaikum," greeted Sinta cheerfully across.

"Oh yeah?" Sinta sounded shocked. "Where, Mas? Can you talk to Elin?"

"Yet. The exact location I don't know. But he's coming to the obstetrician's clinic, we hope he doesn't papa."

"Yes, Mas. You persuaded Elin to come home. Don't let her run away again" Sinta said.

"You just calm down. But, this is a bit far away. I may not be coming home tonight" Ariel said.

"Not home? Where is Elin?" Sinta sounded twice as shocked. Surely Sinta did not imagine Ariel staying somewhere, with Elin.

"He's on Nareswari island. I've got to catch the boat that's headed there and it's afternoon, honey. I don't want to go there this afternoon. And I won't be able to come back until tomorrow" Ariel said. Across the street, Sinta did not respond. Until Ariel felt anxious. "Hello? Sinta?"

"Yes, Mas. Are you going to be with Elin?"

"I don't know the exact location of Elin yet. I still have to find him first. I'll call you later. Okay. I'm new on this road."

"OK, Mum. Be careful."

Ariel turned off her phone call. He accelerated the speed of the car to arrive at the port because the distance is quite decent. He did not want to miss the last ferry that could take him to Nareswari Island.

Luckily, when Ariel arrived at the port. He still had time to buy tickets for the cruise at 6:30 pm. There was still almost an hour for him to rest while waiting for Magrib prayer time. Ariel couldn't wait to meet Elin later.

Elin was upset that night. He had been in the motel for 5 days and he felt quite calm. But tonight feels different. Maybe, because he just used his debit card by force. He had run out of cash and he just remembered that he had to check the contents. She was also curious about the condition of her baby.

Elin shut down her laptop because she didn't want to write anymore. He took a photo of the USG stored in his wallet. The baby is really growing. Ariel would be happy if she knew the baby she was carrying was indeed a female.

With eyes filled, Elin rubbed her stomach. She just wants her baby to live happily with or without her. Because most likely, he will still be separated from the baby.

Elin felt so happy and sad to imagine it. So, he decided to take a walk to get some fresh air. At first, Elin just wanted to look around the motel, but he did not realize his legs had walked far enough to the beach.

"It's so beautiful the moon" muttered Elin as she stared at the perfect full moon. The sky looks so bright and so beautiful while the waves hit the beach gently. Elin smiled faintly as she stroked her stomach. "When you're born, I want you to be named Luna, which means moon. But I don't know if your father would agree and you can use that name, baby."

Elin hugged herself as she grew colder. Because he did not plan to walk to the beach, he forgot not to bring a jacket. As a result, he felt so cold. He almost flipped over to immediately return to the motel when suddenly there was someone who covered his body with a jacket. Elin widened to stare at the figure next to her who was suddenly present.

"It's not cold here, you should wear a warm jacket!"
