"You've come, my mother."
Ariel turned her gaze to Sinta who had just woken up. He immediately exited the conversation application and placed Sinta's phone on the nightstand. Ariel's pale face immediately invited Sinta's curiosity.
"That's my phone? What's up, Mas?" ask Sinta.
"No papa, honey." Ariel helps Sinta to be able to sit more upright by adjusting the height of the bed. "You can sleep? Does it still hurt?"
Sinta. Because he was already very curious about what made Ariel look like this, he immediately took his phone. Just like Ariel, he was immediately shocked to read a message from his mother. Sinta who had felt a little calmer immediately returned to grieving. He looked at Ariel with wet eyes.
"I think we should tell them now, Mas. Um, your parents too. I don't want them to hope anymore" Sinta said. He was typing something on his phone screen. "I want to tell Mom."
"You sure? We can tell you later, Sin," Ariel said convincingly.
"Now, Mas. Now or tomorrow is the same. My baby doesn't exist and never will." Sinta stopped her typing and looked at Ariel. "You tell your parents, they must also be waiting for the news of the birth of their first grandchild. Instead of them getting disappointed, Mommy."
Ariel weighed for a moment. He saw Sinta had sent the message, but maybe his mother-in-law did not immediately respond because Sinta immediately put the phone back on the nightstand.
"Let me tell them slowly" said Ariel. He could guess the disappointment his mother would feel. His mother and father were accompanying Gladis who had just entered college in France. They plan to go home when Sinta gives birth later. "But I don't want to tell you about your current condition, you don't need to tell your mother either. Okay?"
Sinta nodded slowly. If they all knew, he would no longer have any self-respect. They would probably hate him or maybe expel him from Ariel's side. So, he didn't want that to happen.
"Are you looking at Elin, huh? She's not papa?" tanya Sinta tried to divert the chat.
Ariel nodded. "Yes. He's doing fine. He can come home tomorrow. You calm down."
"Alhamdulillah. You have to work, too, Mommy."
"When you're healed, I'm just back from work. Now let my assistant handle me," said Ariel reassured.
Sinta smiled thinly. Ariel is a very caring husband. Since they dated, Ariel had given him so much attention that he who hesitated to receive Ariel's love was finally convinced. He was already very afraid to build a relationship with Ariel because he was just a commoner's son while Ariel was the son of a wealthy family.
"I buy you porridge, will you eat?" ariel asked as she opened her luggage.
"Later on, Mas. I'm not a laper."
"OKAY. But you have to keep eating. Hm?" Ariel rubbed Sinta's forehead a few times. He smiled as Sinta nodded. He wanted to see Sinta smile wider or laugh more, but it seemed like it would be difficult now. In fact, Sinta is a person who is so cheerful and entertaining.
When night fell, Ariel decided to call her mother. He sat outside Sinta's room and pressed the call button on the contact of Maria, his mother. After waiting for a few seconds the call was finally answered.
"Assalamualaikum, Ma."
"Oh, waalaikumsalam. You just called, Ril. Mama chat you from last night no bales, Elin also from yesterday not sent. You guys don't have any problems, do you?" asked Maria with a worried tone.
"Ehm, I want to say something to Mama" said Ariel hesitantly.
"What's wrong? Do not make Mama deg-degan dong," said Maria.
Ariel took a deep breath from her mouth before finally saying, "So actually yesterday Elin had the same accident, Ma."
"What's? Continue ... How are they? Elin isn't papa? What kind of accident happened?" maria asked in panic.
Ariel heard the sound of footsteps and the voice of Gladis on the other side, presumably her youngest sister was also curious about what was happening here. "Car accident, Ma. Elin was driving yesterday."
"Who's mom got in the accident, Ma?" Gladis's voice sounded.
"Elin isn't papa, but Sinta is pretty bad, Ma." Ariel paused because she heard her mother talking to Gladis. "Love had bleeding and our baby didn't survive. Last night I buried it."
"Yes Allah. Ril, you didn't lie to Mama, did you? Your mother's granddaughter doesn't exist?"
"Yes, Ma. I seriously. Sinta is still in this hospital, she is also very depressed," replied Ariel.
"Couldn't you? Why did it come to be like Allah. You're patient, Ril. Sinta needs your support, you're strong huh." Maria sniffled across.
"Yes, Ma. Although I am also very sad I should be able to make Sinta rise," said Ariel. "Love is hoping to give birth next month. Now everything's gone, Ma."
"Mama pray Sinta soon recover. Doctor said how? When can I get pregnant again? It must take some time, yes" said Maria expectantly.
Ariel's left hand clenched tightly. He began to beat harder because of his mother's words. No, Sinta will never get pregnant again. His mind churned, he held his tongue to speak.
"Ehm, Sinta must recover first physically the same mentally, Ma. I hope Mama Sama Papa does not demand much Sinta. I don't want her to be stressed when she just lost her baby" Ariel said.
"Yes, you are calm" said Maria. "But you also don't relax too much, Ril. If Sinta has recovered, you should try again to have children. Don't drag on in grief. Understood?"
Ariel breathed a sigh of rage. "Yes, Ma. I really understand. I also ... Anyway Mama don't have to worry. I just want Mama to support Sinta."
"Mama can't talk to Elin yet. His phone could not be reached. Is Elin there?" ask Maria.
Ariel stood up slowly, knowing Elin's phone was badly damaged so there was no way Elin could take a call from their mother. "The phone's broken, Ma. That's why I can't. Mama want to talk to Elin? He's all right."
"But Mama wants to talk first. He must have been sick in the accident while he was hospitalized."
"Yes, I'm down. He was in the second grade because he cared for him" Ariel explained.
"Huh? What the hell are you doing? Why don't you take care of your sister's room? Kasian dong if in the second grade must share a room with other patients. You should have asked for a VIP class for your sister."
Ariel shook her head slowly hearing her mother's scolding. "Elin is not papa. She'd be scared in the room alone, too, Ma. Better have the theme. It's me again the way to Elin's room. Mama wait a minute if you want to talk to Elin."
Ariel walked quickly as she exited the elevator, she headed for Elin's room at the end of the corridor. However, he stopped his steps when he saw Galang appear from another direction. Both of Ariel's eyebrows furrowed because he did not expect Galang to even come this night to the hospital. And sure enough, Galang went straight into Elin's room.
Ariel walked slowly to the door of Elin's room. Both of his eyes were fixed on Galang who had just sat in a small chair. He brought several items for Elin including a small box that he immediately knew as a new mobile phone. Ariel bit her lip. There is no way Galang is just a boss for Elin, there must be something between them.
"Momorrow call Elin, she's asleep" Ariel told a lie.
"Yes, justin aja bobo" said Maria. "You don't wait for your wife to continue, your sister is also taken care. Mama knows Elin likes independent assholes, but you're her sister. Take good care of your sister."
"Yes. Just relax, Ma. Elin's not a kid anymore." Ariel pressed the elevator button to go upstairs again. "Yes, Ma. I'll close it first."
After saying hello, Ariel entered the elevator. He leaned his head against the elevator wall and started thinking. Her parents won't know Sinta can't have another baby. And they live abroad, so if he decides to adopt a baby, it won't be a problem.
Unfortunately, they would definitely know if the baby did not resemble her or with Sinta. They will definitely wonder when Sinta is pregnant again. And worse, they will ask about the progress of Sinta's pregnancy. There was no way he would lie to them by suddenly adopting a baby.
"I have to think about the best way to have another baby" Ariel muttered as she left the elevator.
