Chapter 19: Not the Old

"If there's anything, call me right away. Okay?" james said before getting into the car with his colleagues. I nodded then he hugged and kissed the Clouds in my sling. "Jaga Mama ya, champ!"

"Yes, Papa. Don't forget my air plane."

Hearing the Cloud's answer, James and I laughed together because from last night all he remembered were the toys promised by his father. "Key, I'm waiting for your answer" he said before the large, brownish body turned around.

What else am I waiting for? Wasn't that man already very kind and he loved the Clouds very much. Is he still less perfect as a husband and father?

My phone's ringing. Hurry and I'll pick it up on the table, "Hello, Mama? How are you?"

"Mama misses," she replied with a whim.

"Omaa. Opaaa. Omaaaaa," said the cloud right in front of my ear. I pressed the loudspeaker mode and I put the phone on the table so that the clouds would chatter freely,"Awan. Oma kangen!"

"Miss you, Oma, Opa."

"Let's go. It's Opa!" The sound of papa coming along.

"Opa Opa Opa." Clouds of excitement hear oma and opa sounds. Although they had not met for long, they were already very familiar. Maybe that's what's called a blood bond. Want to go as far as anything and at any time separated, the relationship can not just break up. As the saying goes, blood is thicker than water. Really so? Suddenly my shadow was on Cloud's biological father. Antoninus. How's it been all this time? Is he looking for me? Is he married again? Does he still... love me?

"Mama and Papa are healthy?" I tried to shake off what I just thought. Mom and dad never mentioned it again so why do I remember it? The clouds don't need another papa. He just needs James. The figure of the father he had known since he was still in the stomach.

"Of course baby. Sure do. We need to be healthy because we want to see you again."

"My prince, has Bunny been fed?" Remembering that he had not fed Bunny, Cloud ran to the refrigerator and picked up some vegetables without answering. I purposely so that he does not hear my conversation with his oma. I don't want the cloud to question what he's hearing.

"Ma, Key's getting married to James." Mama was silent when. "Well baby if that's what you want. But, what about your divorce papers?"

I just remembered that my status is still as someone's wife. "I'll talk to James, Ma."

"Alright, Key. Whatever your decision this time, Mama will follow. Mama wants you and the Clouds to be happy, baby."

After chatting for a long time, my mother turned off the phone and I looked around for Clouds who was still with Bunny.

"Prince, what is it? What's in your mouth?" From far away the clouds seem to be chewing on something. I don't remember giving her any food.

"Hi, Mama," she ignored me. He prefers stroking Bunny feathers.

"Hi, Key! I gave a carrot stick to the Clouds!" yelled Erina from her open kitchen. Our house was limited to a knee-high wooden fence, so we could still greet each other.

"Thank you, Erika. You look very busy," I said no less loudly.

"really? I'm so glad to hear that. Do you need any help?"

"of course! With pleasure."

I jumped the fence into Erika's kitchen. The clouds are busy and he doesn't want to be disturbed. Luckily Bunny was a submissive rabbit. Yeah, according to Clouds and James. Not me. Because from the beginning I was against his arrival. I don't like keeping animals at home because taking care of them takes extra effort. Not to mention when cleaning the cage. In the end, I was the one cleaning. And it's because of my dislike that Bunny doesn't like me either. That's the only relevant reason. Reflection. What we give, that's what we receive.

"Does this need to be cut?" I pointed at the carrot that had been peeled.

"Yes, Key. I'll make pickled cucumbers. My husband really likes it when eaten with fried rice."

"I wonder who's coming. Because you don't usually cook this much. Even at your husband's birthday party."

Haha ... Erika laughs loosely while cutting the cucumber, "You're embarrassing me, Key. Actually we were friends since we were in college, and then we worked together. I don't know what her favorite food is and every time I ask her she says whatever. That's why I prepared this much. So he's got plenty of options to eat." And that's right. The partially fried nuggets are ready to be packed. Some types of salad vegetables, pickles, balado eggs, chicken rendang, krupuk setoples, and whether there is anything else in the food box that is piled on the table.

I continued cutting the carrot and I saw the clouds breaking through the sidelines of the fence that his body could pass through.

"Aunty, I want more ...," he said, raising a hand at Erika. And Erika also took some carrot nuggets that are still warm.

"Prince, wash your hands first." He looked around, looking for water to wash his hands. And he found a bucket of water that Erika used to water her plants. "It." The clouds raised both his wet hands as proof that he had washed his hands, although it did not guarantee their cleanliness. He sat down in a chair and enjoyed cutting up the food in front of him. "Do you like it, Boy?" erika asked as she kissed the brown Cloud's hair cross-legged. Erika had no children at the age of her ten-year marriage, which is why she was so close to the Clouds and always gave her food. "Mmmm." Clouds nod.

"Is your husband coming home tonight?"

"No, Key. He's on office business. Maybe week. But I told you my friend was staying over. How about James?"

"He'll be home next week. As you know he's rarely home."

"Yes. I'm grateful James has a wife. So there are people who guard the house and do not need to be afraid anymore if I happen to be alone at home. I used to imagine there were ghosts in your house back then" Erika's story ended with a chuckle of horror.

"Erika, don't you know I'm home alone tonight? Why talk about ghosts?" I shudder in horror and wonder how the Canadian ghost sighting? Are there pocongs, genderuwo, kuntilanak, or tuyul? No. .. no! I quickly threw the question out of my head.

"Are you scared, Key?" tease Erika who is no less afraid of me.

"of course! Look at my feathers." I'll show Erika my hand.

"Oh, no! My hair's goosebumps, Key. We shouldn't talk about that!" Erika looks sorry for starting a conversation about ghosts.

"We better finish your cooking first" I suggested that we quickly enter the house. The air outside suddenly became frozen and it seemed that someone was watching us. Brrrrrrr
