Chapter 79: The Necklace of the Gems

Days changed by week. Week changing month. Casey's relationship with Dariel is getting better. Two days ago Dariel went to England to develop his business. And as long as Dariel is gone, Casey stays at his in-laws' house.

"Casey, we go first, yes" Arthur told his sister-in-law. Arthur and his wife came from New York to attend a charity event in California.

"I picked up Alferd yes, she was sleeping" said Ashley, who looked beautiful in her evening dress.

"Every sister-in-law" Casey said, staring at the necklace around Ashley's neck that looked familiar to her. The blue gem reminded her of the ring that the man had left behind who had abused her.

"What's up, Casey? isn't sister pretty?" ask Ashley.

"Ti. no, sister, it's beautiful tonight. The necklace is also very suitable on the skin of the sister," said Casey smiling praising Ashley.

"I don't think sister is pretty. Oh yea.. Dariel also has a jewel like this. Has he not given it to you?" ask Ashley. Casey shakes.

"Jeez. that kid. You know you don't. Grandma used to give Arthur and Dariel gifts to give to their wives after they got married. Arthur gets the necklace and Dariel mend__"

"Darling, you'll continue the story later. We're almost too late" Arthur cut Ashley's conversation.

"Ah yes.all right. Then we go first Casey," Ashley concluded.

"Honey.. Where are you going?" asked Luvena who met Casey on the stairs.

"I want to see Alferd in mom's room. Sister-in-law has left and left Alferd with me" Casey replied. Luvena's relationship with Casey is good. Both are getting smaller. Luvena often visits Dariel's house to meet Casey. Luvena asked Dariel to stay in the same house. Dariel refused it. The man's not his mother hogging his wife. Luvena asks Casey for help in persuading Dariel to stay in the same house. But Dariel refused it.

"Yes, you accompany the boy. Mommy wants to grab a drink first" Luvena said. Casey then nodded.

Casey went into Alferd's room and saw the boy sleeping soundly. Carefully Casey climbed onto the bed and lay down beside Alferd. The little boy squirmed as he was disturbed.

"ssstt.. sleeping again yeah." said Casey rubbed Alferd's head hair. The boy opened his eyes in a semi-conscious state and saw Casey sleeping beside him.

"Aunty.." muttered Alferd and hugged Casey.

"Yes boy, this is aunty.sleep again, baby." Casey kissed Alferd's forehead. Shortly after, the boy went back to sleep.

When Casey almost closed her eyes her phone rang. Casey was upset that she was almost asleep and canceled because of the sound of her phone. It was impossible for Dariel because they had already spoken before Arthur and Ashley approached him. Casey grabs her phone from the top of the nightstand and sees an incoming call from Jenifer. Casey turned it off. He did not want to talk to the woman. Several times Jenifer did contact her and said if her relationship with Dariel in the near future this will end, because Jenifer will take back Dariel from her. But Casey doesn't care what Jenifer says.
