Chapter 90: The Good News

4 Months Later

Dariel remained faithful to accompany Casey in the hospital. He even took his belongings to the hospital and his office files. Dariel will only go to the office if there are important matters that Chris cannot replace. The room where Casey was treated was spacious and the bed there was deliberately replaced with a larger one, so that Dariel could sleep next to Casey.

During these four months, Casey has not developed, there is no sign the woman will be aware of her coma. During these four months a lot happened. Adeline gave birth to her baby. Their children are male. They named him Louis. Matilda became quiet and shut herself in the room. His life feels empty. Dariel has also taught Jenifer lessons by acquiring all shares of his parents' company.

"Darling when will you wake up." said Dariel, peeping at the back of Casey's hand. The man was sitting on a chair beside the gurney.

"I'm sorry for everything I ever did to you. I'm a jerk" Dariel said with tears in his eyes.

"Are you punishing me like this? if so, you did it, baby. You have given me the toughest punishment of my life. Please don't punish me like this" Dariel gently rubbed Casey's head.

"I don't want to lose you, I love you so much baby" Dariel softly kissed Casey's pale lips.

"I promise, when you wake up I'm ready to accept that in the end you want to separate from me. I'm ready for you to hate me forever. As long as you stay alive. I'll give you everything you want. Let's get up, baby." said Dariel.

Casey's outpatient room door opens. Luvena appeared carrying the food box.

"Dariel, let's have lunch first" Luvena said, putting the food she was carrying on the sofa table.

"I'm not hungry yet, mom" Dariel replied, wiping away her tears. Luvena walked over to Dariel.

"Here eat fast, let mommy see Casey here" Luvena said. Dariel finally obeyed his mother's words for lunch.

That night Dariel was guarding Casey with Luvena in the hospital. Dariel sleeps in bed with Casey. While Luvena slept on the big sofa that was there. Dariel did not sleep every night. Every time Dariel closed his eyes, he dreamed Casey would leave him. Dariel is always haunted by fear.

Dariel always invites Casey chatting to stimulate his brain to quickly wake up from his coma. Dariel recounts how empty he was in Casey's absence. Tells of the days they have passed before.

Dariel was shocked when he felt Casey's hand move. Dariel looked at Casey's moving eyelids.

"Mom.mom.." call Dariel. The ladder moves to push a button on the bed to call the doctor.

Luvena who heard Dariel's powerful voice woke up.

"What's Dariel?" ask Luvena.

"Mom.. Just got Casey's hand moving mom," said Dariel happily. There's a chance Casey will be conscious. Kontan Luvena ran up to Dariel.

"Look at mom" said Dariel, pointing at Casey's hand. Luvena was happy to see it. Shortly after, the doctor came to check on Casey.

"This is good news Mr. Garfield, your wife is past her coma. We'll just wait for when your wife wakes up. Possibly in the near future," said the doctor. Dariel and Luvena who heard the good news were very happy.

"Thank you doc" said Luvena, the doctor then said goodbye.
