His Purpose

His Purpose
119. A Wise for Husband

Gibran was feeding Mary when someone came to open the door. "Good night?"

Everyone turned their heads at once, including Rayan who was busy watching TV on the sofa. The man immediately removed his back from the sofa. "Lho, Bagas boy?"

Bagas smiled nodding reluctantly. "How are you, sir?"

"Okay, come on in."

Bagas came in and closed the door. In her hand was a large bouquet of flowers. He approached the middle of the room and stopped there. "I heard your daughter go to the hospital" he said, turning to the bed.

Maria seemed to chew her food in confusion, while in front of her was the husband who focused on feeding. The man was completely indifferent to the existence of Bagas.

Rayan nodded with a smile. "He had a stomach ulcer yesterday. But, thank goodness nothing happened with the content."

Bagas seemed unmoved, his gaze turned to Maria. "Relations?"

"Right, my daughter is pregnant."

"Oh .." muttered Bagas. There was a disappointed look on his face. But then Bagas smiled. He approached the patient's bed and handed the flower in his hand to Maria.

"Congratulations, huh? And ... hopefully get well soon," said Bagas sounding sincere.

"Thank you," answered Maria complete with a makeshift smile.

As he was about to receive the flower, Gibran had already scooped it up first. The man casually threw him towards the sofa where the in-laws were. Rayan who was quite surprised reflexively caught him.

Fucking son-in-law. You are not polite!

That was the sentence that was drawn on Rayan's face. Maria grimaced in her place. The atmosphere turned awkward because of this, but Gibran seemed to not care and returned to feed Mary with a sinless look.

"Ah, Bagas. Let's say you're here I want to talk about work. Come here." Come here."

Bagas who had no other options finally gave up and joined Rayan on the sofa. Both of them immediately dissolve in various chats even outside the business though.

Mary was secretly envious. He also wanted his father to talk like that to Gibran, who was his son-in-law.

"Why?" Gibran, who was aware of Mary's countenance, asked in a soft voice.

The woman slightly flinched. He shook his head while throwing a sweet smile that made Gibran fascinated for a moment. "It's nothing." Then his face approached and whispered. "I remember not kissing Koko this afternoon."

Gibran chuckled softly as he shook his head. "Lately you've been craving touch?"

Mary bit her lips and bowed in shame. "Come on, but I feel like Koko's getting hotter."

Gibran raised his eyebrows next to an amused one. "I was already handsome from birth" he said narcissistically.

Suddenly Maria laughed and involuntarily hit Gibran's arm until the plate in his hand shook slightly. Fortunately it didn't spill.

Without them noticing Bagas and Rayan paying attention from the sofa. They were quite surprised to hear Gibran's laughter. Although it sounds soft, it is able to attract the attention of both of them on two lovebirds who seem to joke that friendly.

"Koko, you didn't forget to sing me a song, did you?"

Suddenly Gibran's face turned pale. The man cleared his throat slowly and tried to return to feed Maria. Mary opened her mouth to take the bribe. His head looked up waiting for Gibran's reply.

Unable to bear Mary's gaze, Gibran let out a sigh and threw it away. "Later I'll find it" he said resignedly.

"Why not now?" Actually Maria was deliberately pranking Gibran.

Just look, the husband put on a face full of pleading. "Do you intend to embarrass me?" the whisper was only heard by Mary.

Even the pitying Maria immediately commented on the gentle smile. He nodded as he pinched Gibran's cheek. "I was just kidding. Why is your face like you're going to lose the war?" the clique couldn't stand it.

Gibran snorted slightly melengos avoiding Mary's presence.

"Coko's mad, huh?"

Gibran again greeted Mary without a word. Even so his face still softened to see the sweet smile of Maria who looked so bright in his eyes.

Unknowingly the corner of his lips lifted even though small. While in another corner Bagas noticed the stickiness of the two. Rayan had noticed the man's gaze on Maria.

He knew Bagas was interested in his daughter. But he couldn't do anything either. Outside he had betrothed the two of them, Rayan did not want to curb the desires of Mary's heart. Moreover, the grip of Gibran makes it unable to move in the slightest. Moreover, Maria has arrived pregnant.

The sound of the door reopening broke the atmosphere. A medical officer came in, bowing reluctantly before informing him that the clock was over.

"I'm sorry, for the convenience of the patient please do not concern immediately out."

Bagas who realized himself was a stranger immediately stood up. "Om, then I'm home." Apparently he had given up the formalities since the two talked.

Then his eyes turned to Maria, without even a single glance at Gibran. "Mary, get well soon, yeah. See you soon" he said before leaving.

Maria just nodded with an awkward smile. She was not a plain woman who did not understand the meaning of Bagas' gaze. Obviously he knew Bagas was interested in him.

That's what has made Maria uncomfortable and tried to occupy herself jokingly with Gibran. It seems Gibran knows too.

The man kept the plate on the nightstand. Then gave Maria a glass of water.

"Tumben Koko isn't angry?" Maria asked after putting on the glass until half was left.

"Why angry?"

Maria shrugged her shoulders. "Usually Koko is always jealous of any man."

Gibran smiled obliquely. "I have no reason to be jealous when you know all my assets, right?"

"He's just a worthless loaf of bread compared to me. Isn't that right, Mrs. Wiranata?" Gibran's eyes glanced triumphantly.

Maria is no less grinning. "of courses. You're still the greatest in my eyes, Lord."

Gibran chuckled pinched slowly on Maria's chin. "Your call sounds sexy, Queen."

Maria smiled happily. He dyed the lightning of Gibran's lips, which the man replied in a short pagutan.

"Ehm!" A deheman broke the atmosphere of both. "Looks like Papa should go home, right?"

Gibran looked on without guilt. "Good, you know yourself enough."

Maria immediately hissed, "Coko." He stared unwell at the papa who seemed quite offended.

There was a bit of guilt because Maria had ignored him.

"It's okay, Maria. It just so happened that Papa had some business with Liem. You're all right here. Don't hesitate to report if his actions make you uncomfortable." Rayan slightly glanced at Gibran before completely exiting.

"Why shop, anyway? Looks like Koko really doesn't like Papa?"

"Did he ever make a mistake, or upset you?"

Gibran simply raised an eyebrow without any intention of giving him an explanation.

"Coko can't keep going like this. Koko's attitude like this makes people misunderstand and hate Koko."

"Outside of Koko's attitude towards Papa, at least be kind to others. Koko has no intention of adding enemies, right?"

"I know Koko has everything, but that doesn't guarantee her well-being because Koko never appreciates anyone."

"It's not about organizing, but I'm not comfortable with other people's views of Koko."

"Koko's not a bad guy."

Without Mary realizing that one sentence alone was able to vibrate foreign feelings in Gibran's heart.
