"Eh, briefly. Where's my phone, huh?" Maria ransacked the contents of her bag.
Gibran who was standing beside Maria turned his head with a faint frown. They were in the elevator to go back to their room.
Mary's mouth was wide open. His eyes were wide when he remembered something. Slowly his head turned to Gibran, answering the man's astonishment. "Wine. Koko, it looks like my phone is missing at the table!" it was half screaming.
"How is this?"
Right after that the elevator door opened, meaning Maria and Gibran had already reached the floor where the two were staying. Maria pushed Gibran out of the elevator, ignoring the sharp glare the man threw at her.
"Koko first. I'll get the phone upstairs."
Gibran held back Maria's arm, which was about to re-enter the elevator. "Let's just Nick."
But the woman shook her head, knowing Nick could relax after a day of work from Gibran. "It's okay. I can take it myself."
"Go to the room" continued Maria, pressing the elevator button. He entered when the iron door opened. Leaving Gibran staring flat at the thing that swallowed Mary.
The man breathed. He turned to return to his room as Maria suggested. However, as his feet turned at the end of the corridor, a voice made him stop.
"Gebel ... Wiranata?"
"Will it?"
Gibran's rails turned cold. The sound of footsteps approaching. A man looked at his face as they faced. "really. You're Gibran Wiranata."
"Well, I didn't expect to see you here."
"What are you doing? I thought you were getting engaged? Did you run away from New York?"
Gibran did not answer. His mouth was faithfully silent without even a second glancing at the man.
While upstairs, Maria dyed inside the restaurant. He was remembering the location of the table he had sat with Gibran.
Be met. The table was occupied by another couple. A woman was flipping through Mary's cell phone in her hand. Maria approached the couple.
"Sorry interfering. That's .. my phone" Maria said in a ringing.
The woman looked. "Oh, is this yours?"
"Yes," nodded Maria.
"Thank you" he said as the woman handed him her phone.
"Together."
Maria rushed out of there. But his eyes caught a figure he seemed to know. Mary kept silent for a long time to observe the man. Eventually, he decided to come closer to make sure.
"Valen ... cia?" Mary hesitated to mention a name she had recently come to know.
Valencia looks up. The woman looked surprised to find Mary. "God. Maria?"
Maria smile. Apparently he's right. Not what, sometimes Mary forgets the name of someone she just met.
"Yes. You dinner here?"
Valencia nodded, giving a shy smile. "really. You either? Where's husband?"
"Ah, he's back first. I'm here because my phone's left." Maria waved the flat object in her hand.
Valencia nodded in understanding, "You're quite careless" he said, to Maria's reply.
"Just like my girlfriend. Maybe he left something as important as a wallet in his car" continued Valencia half grumbled.
Maria looked at Valencia long ago. Somehow he was so curious about the figure of the lover of the woman. Too bad, it looks like he hasn't been able to meet in person now.
Mary saw the clock on the cell phone. It's 10 p.m. He also said goodbye to Valencia. "Sorry, but I have to get back. Nice to meet you, Valencia."
"Just Valen's. Just call me Valen." Valencia smile. "By the way, why hurry? Don't want to sit down first? At least until my girlfriend comes and I introduce you to her."
"You just call him. Tell me, maybe you'll be a little late coming back to the room."
Maria snorted in her heart. Call what. He doesn't have Gibran's number. Throughout her life with the man, Maria realized they had never once exchanged mobile numbers.
"The thing is, my husband's phone died. So it's free to call now."
Bravo, Maria! You are very clever to reason.
"Ah, so. Yeah, well, sometime I'll introduce you to my girlfriend. I'm glad we meet again here" Valencia replied with a beautiful smile.
Maria smiled back and nodded. He left immediately, leaving the faithful Valencia staring at his old back.
In addition, Gibran desperately held back feelings of disgust towards the man before him.
"Where do you live now? The thailand? The vietnamese? Filipino?" ask the man.
"Malaysian? Or ... Ah, right, Indonesia! Your dad's from there, isn't he?"
Gibran's rails were still expressionless. "Is that important to you?" reply, cold.
"certain. Your mother kept pestering my life because her beloved son ran away. You're also good at hiding. The proof is that none of his men can track you. Though I believe you roam the earth with various business meetings. Look, you're still the same. Not poor at all. Your aura remains expensive to smell."
Gibran grunting. He melengos, intending to pass Evan who seemed reluctant to stop talking.
"Hey, brother. Where are you going, huh? Tell me where you live now?"
"Soge away."
"Not until you tell me where you live."
"Stop I said."
Evan who felt Gibran's cold aura slightly shivered. But he did not give up and still gripped the man's shoulder.
"Please .. tell me where you live right now. There's at least something I can tell your mother when I get back." Evan.
Silent for long enough. Gibran reveals something surprising to Evan. "I'm married. That's all you need to know."
Evan blinked. His body looked as if it was in a daze. "You kidding me?" I don't know who he was muttering to.
Gibran secretly took advantage of Evan's dreamy condition. He immediately got out of there.
"Hey!" evan exclaimed as soon as he realized the absence of Gibran.
The bule man was wobbly combing through the void of the corridor. Just now he was about to knock on any door to look for the whereabouts of Gibran who he believed was hiding in one of the rooms. Gibran reappears from one of the units.
"Good, I'm surprised."
"Where are you going?" ask wondered.
But Gibran paid no heed. The man ran into the elevator. Evan was abandoned. As he was about to catch up, the elevator door had already closed.
"Sucks."
As for Gibran, he was impatient. After getting a message from Nick a few seconds ago, he quickly decided to go upstairs to make sure.
Elevator door opens. It was then that his eyes met the sight of Maria who turned out to be about to return to the room.
For a moment they were silent. Until Mary opened her voice and asked in astonishment. "Cococo? Why is it here? Not that was—"
His words were cut off when Gibran suddenly pulled him in, turning his body to lean against the elevator wall. Not quite up there, Maria was made to grips with Gibran's next action. The man put his lips on Mary's lips. Makes Maria have trouble holding her heart which instantly rumbles violently.
Gibran. Again.
Coinciding with that, the elevator door opposite them opened, displaying the figure of the man Valencia meant as his lover.
