His Purpose

His Purpose
148. Falseness

"Darling!"

"Marya, wait!"

"Plum, please listen to me! Listen to my explanation!"

Gibran tried to reach Maria who walked quickly out of the restaurant. He stopped as the woman turned to look at him fiercely. The disappointed look emanated clearly from there.

"What's? Koko wants to say that all this time our marriage was not a coincidence? This deliberate? Koko deliberately makes El go and act like a hero by replacing him as a groom, is that it?"

"Plum—"

"I didn't expect Koko to be this bad. Manipulatively. And stupidly I put Koko as a victim because I had to marry me."

"I felt guilty for knowing Koko had a fiancee."

"Honey, please ..." Gibran pleaded with Mary to stop.

But Mary was already overwhelmed with emotion.

"It turns out .. it turns out all this was planned. You guys conspiring behind my back?" Maria glanced sharply at Gabriel who had just caught up.

Disappointment in Mary's heart. His role was already worthy like the item that was thrown to and fro. With ease he was played by the two brothers and lulled in rotation.

He used to dissolve in Gabriel's tenderness. And now, more recently Maria has also fallen into the charm of Gibran.

What exactly is God doing to her?

"Maria—" Gabriel lost his word, even to apologize could not.

Maria nodded. His hands shook because his heart was beating fast. He cried silently looking at Gibran who also looked at him with regret.

"Darling ..."

Maria took a deep breath. It felt so bad to be fooled all this time. Is Maria being too naive here?

"You're playing me" he whispered in a choked voice.

Mary retreated as Gibran moved closer. "Plum, please listen to me—"

"Enough!" exclaim Maria hard.

This managed to attract the attention of some people. An officer approached. "I'm sorry, Ma'am, please don't make a fuss here" he said politely.

Maria wiped her tears as she threw away her face. No matter how pregnant Maria is, she must remain calm despite her overflowing heart filled with tension.

His eyes glanced sharply at Gibran and Gabriel in turn. Without a word he turned around intending to enter the elevator, but Gibran who realized it quickly held back. "Darling wait. We need to talk."

Maria brushed off Gibran's touch in her hand. He turned back and looked at the man sharply. "Before we talk about what was Koko's mistake. Because all I know is that Koko never felt guilty about anyone."

Gibran was stunned, he stared until his grip relaxed and let Mary be lost in the elevator door.

Because all I know is that Koko never felt guilty about anyone.

The sentence continued to echo in Gibran's head. Gabriel approached slowly and tried to touch his brother's shoulder. "Sister."

Gibran brushed off the touch and turned sharply. His eyes were filled with anger before he passed away leaving Gabriel, who was also unmoved with a chaotic feeling.

Maria walked out of the elevator. Nick, who happened to cross paths with her, was astonished to see the mistress' face covered in tears.

Nick quickly approached and asked worriedly. "Mrs, why are you down again? Which master?"

Maria did not answer. He ignores Nick and just passes by. Maria immediately entered the car that had driven her here before, then told the driver to return to the residence.

While Gibran who just arrived in the basement from another door seemed to run toward Nick. His breath was breathless, sweat condensed all over his body, his jakun rising and falling as he asked. "Where's mary?"

Nick is still confused about what happened. Even so he still answered. "So he went with the driver. Maybe go home" he said unsure.

"S**t!" Gibran cussed while punching the air.

"What's up, Mister?"

Gibran did not answer. He asked for the car keys that Nick gave him immediately. The man then ran into the wheel.

Nick is approaching fast. "Master? Sir, you want to go home? Let me drive!" he was pounding on the window glass.

But Gibran paid no heed. The loud roar of the car seemed to express the anger that enveloped Gibran's face. The car drove fast leaving the parking lot and Nick was confused.

He drowned himself. What the hell has happened?

***

"Mary!" Gibran ran quickly after getting out of the car.

With the ability to drive like a racer, Gibran was able to chase the white Alphard that was boarded by Maria.

They arrived at Tjandra's residence almost simultaneously. Gibran pursues Mary who enters the house. "Plum, wait. Let me talk!"

Maria pulled out her hand that Gibran had just grabbed. Without a word he continued walking until they passed by Rayan who came down from the second floor because of the commotion.

"What's this about? Maria, what's wrong with you, son?"

Maria did not answer, she went up the stairs which made Gibran worried not to play. Maria is pregnant. Since then he walked that fast, especially his hands still often hurt if exposed to shock.

"Honey, slow down." Gibran tried to remind.

Arriving above he was only given a door slam. Gibran was outside the room. The sound of a key being pressed twice. So I didn't want Maria to hear the explanation.

Gibran let out a long sigh, his body leaning against the door. He looked up at the ceiling above. There have been no 24 hours they make out friendly, now the problem comes to cause chaos.

Gibran's heart felt faintly heard a faint sounding sobbing in the room. He looked down at his shiny shoes.

Gibran was silent when he found a pair of legs wrapped in house sandals stopped right in front of him. Rayan Adibrata followed. The man stood with both hands tucked in his pocket. His eyes looked at Gibran with a flat highlight.

"Give him time. Silence is the way Mary calms herself. Speak up if his mind is calm."

Silent. Gibran did not even look up even though Rayan asked him to speak. The young man looked resigned, making Rayan who was originally happy to mock him now also silent with a complicated look.

"He met Gabriel" Gibran said.

Rayan was not surprised. He nodded as if this was going to happen.

"I've been expecting this since I saw it at the airport yesterday" he said casually.

Slowly Gibran looked up. "You know what?"

Rayan. "Said I just accidentally met. It turns out that it's true that he intends to meet one of you."

"He's meeting me."

Rayan looked at Gibran. "Whatever the problem is between you, solve it as soon as possible. Whether it's the past or the present, a lie is one of the big pebbles in a relationship."

"Maybe you are a powerful man and can conquer the world, but no matter how great one's power, no one can perfectly hide a lie."

"There's more of a red thread that ties you up long ago. Your and Mary's story doesn't start from this moment. When are you gonna let Maria know that fact?"
